My hot water heater leaked and ruined all the underlayment, flooring, drywall and insulation in utility room and part of the kitchen. They came and did a full analysis of the damage and worked with insurance company to get an estimate of the needed repairs. Then they gave me a full report and description of what they planned to do and an estimate of how long it would take. Sean, in particular, was very sensitive to my fears and concerns. He walked me through the whole thing and worked closely with the insurance company. He came right out to the job site during the planning stages and as his men began their work. He introduced me to each crew member who would be in my home and those that could potentially come periodically to check the equipment. The men who did the majority of work in my home, Gary and Andy, were hard-working, professional and answered all my questions politely and with respect. They started the job at sun-up and worked til nearly 10pm that night, taking only one short break for lunch- which they had in their truck. They worked without benefit of any air conditioner and needed to scoop out blown-in insulation that had sat and mildewed, finally smelling like raw sewage. They refused to accept even a drink of water from me, as they brought food and drinks, which they kept in their truck. I even offered to order us all a pizza, since they had to work so late that first night, and they politely refused that, saying they were fine. I never saw them even sit down to take a break. One would pull out the nasty insulation and the other would immediately contain it in a waterproof garbage bag and race it to their truck. It was the most methodical, cleanest jobsite I have ever seen. Not one piece of dust or debris escaped into the area outside of the carefully installed plastic containment area. Andy even raced back to the office to get special extension poles to keep the containment area secure after he ran into a problem with the tape not sticking to my kitchen walls. They took extra care to build a new containment area when they left and discussed special precautions I should take when my granddaughter came over the following weekend. They removed all their equipment after taking very thorough readings to make sure there was absolutely no moisture or mildew left. As it turned out it was a good thing Sean introduced me to all of the crew before they began their work the first morning since Gary had to call in on the final day of restoration and Barry ended up taking his place. Barry was very professional as well and had an especially good sense of humor. I confessed to him and Andy that I had secretly enjoyed all of the male attention I got all week, which had made a rather devastating experience instead rather pleasant and fun. As an older woman I do not get much male attention and suddenly it was as if I had a harem of men at my beck and call. As I confessed to Andy and Barry that I had secretly fantasized plugging up my bathtub and causing another flood just to get them to come back, Barry said Serv Pro would be glad to assist, whatever the call- pointing out all the various types of clean-ups they can do- ending it with a big grin and saying, "Because that's how we roll!" And when I said I thought Serv Pro should change their TV commercials to tap into the lonely older-woman market, Barry said, "Yeah, and they should play the song 'It's Raining Men' in the background". And then I added that maybe we could get Kirstie Alley to play the part of the lonely older-woman. LOLOL! So you can see that this company is the one you would definitely want to call when you want it to look ' LIKE IT NEVER EVEN HAPPENED'. And if you happen to need some male attention, plan to take the week off from work so you can hang out at the damage-scene and also get up early so you can get yourself pulled together and look your best! LOLOL! Seriously, USE THIS COMPANY. When I returned to work and told my girlfriends what had happened and why I wasn't at work, one gal relayed a horror story at her own house. She had a completely opposite experience with another company who had simply opened a window in her bathroom, shoveled the contaminated debris out the window, and then left it there when they 'completed' the job. So be careful out there. This company will take good care of you if you have any water/fire/smoke damage, mold/mildew- and they even clean up crime scenes!
