Salem Hardwood Floors

Fine. They did excellent work in a timely manner.

We spoke to 4 different companies. Two didn't respond even when we made repeat inquiries. Matching the existing hardwood in our home took extra effort and it was not generally currently stocked. I would have respected them more for saying that isn't a product we offer. The third company offered a similar product to our existing floor but the interactions with him left us questioning working with him and his financial stability. 
Salem Hardwood Floor was the fourth we contacted but the first back to us with a solid bid and after a couple days research they had even located matching flooring. They made insert suggestions that really tie the new flooring in with other parts of our home. Their bid was basically identical to the other one we received. Their installer took extra care to lay out the boards to maximize the overall appearance of the floor. Allergy problems were the reason for installing the new hardwood. Cleaning the hardwood floors, we realize how impossible it is to clean carpet as thoroughly as hardwood. My allergies are much improved. After living with their beautiful workmanship this past year, we love how they improve the aesthetic appearance of our new floors!
Working with them was an absolutely delightful experience.

Dave and his crew repaired a poor patch job that was done 30 years ago. They were very picky in their replacement wood selection and the repair is not discernible and matches the 82 year old floor very well. All of the wood floors look fabulous thanks to Dave and his team.

We cannot say enough good things about Dave and his crew. He responded quickly to our initial inquiry and got out to the house promptly to give us a quote. We had time constraints of our own, and Dave willingly fit his crew into our schedule which meant sending folks over almost immediately to start working and to work on the weekend. We were very impressed! He stayed in great communication throughout the project, letting us know what to expect and then time frame for completion.
His crew spent a great deal of time repairing old damage to the floors. We were shocked with what they were able to remove, hide, and patch. The floors look fantastic.
Best of all, the bill came in just as he quoted. We have yet to work with someone in the construction field who kept so well to schedules and budgets as Dave and his crew. And finally, I'll just mention that for the work hours involved in this project, the type of work undertaken, and the final finished project - this was WELL worth the price.

Salem Hardwood Floors was easy to work with from the initial phone call. They were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and came out right away to look at the floors and give a quote. The quote was reasonable and they were able to do the work within our required time frame. Their work was superb and the floors looked absolutely beautiful upon completion. We would definitely use them again for future hardwood needs.

They did a fabulous job...quality of work, professionalism and taking the detail and even cleaning above and beyond as far as scope of work to make sure everything worked well together.

Dave arrived on-time to provide an estimate, explained the process to be used, discussed options for refinishing the fir floors in bedrooms, and then gave a reasonably priced estimate. The crew did a super job refinishing the floor with a "Swedish" finish, completing the job on-time and at the agreed upon price. Floor looks fantastic!

It went very well. They came out and did the job. I looked at them several months ago when we had a water leak in the house and it ruined the floors but we had to wait several months for the floors to dry out before they were able to come out and reseal them, sand them then seal them. They just completed that 2 weeks ago and they did a fine job. I thought the price was reasonable, the quality of their work was good. They came out when they said they would, they did a good job, the owner of the company came back on numerous occasions to check on the work and the owner of the company came out when they finished their work.

The responsiveness to my request for an estimate and then the work was excellent. The communication via texting and phone made it very easy to work out all the details.  Dave's ability to have the work finished sooner than I expected was so greatly appreciated. And, the floor turned out beautiful and the price was less than the original quote - super!!   I am definitely going to recommend Salem Hardwood Floors to anyone looking for this type of service.

contained the dust well, and my floors look even better than I had hoped. I am very pleased, and highly recommend them.

I thought the job overall was well done. The person who came out was really busy and he was able to work our job in, which I really appreciated since we were moving into the house.

They were very helpful and professional. The did an excellent job matching and shaping the board that needed to be replaced by our fireplace. They were patient while we figured out what to do with our damaged floor and even made an extra trip to see it when it was revealed to help us decide how to proceed. They also were helpful in loaning us their old sander ahead of time. They worked within our time frame, which was very much appreciated.

The followup didn’t cost me anything. The flooring guy was kind enough to bring me the Swedish finish so that I could do it myself. He came out when he said he would come out. He was very customer oriented and responsive. He answers all your questions in a level that you can understand. Salem Hardwood Floors is a good company. I referred them to a friend of mine and they did some work for her and she liked their work too. They have been in business for quite a while. I would use their services in the future. If need be, then I am going to refer them again to someone else since my neighbor had a good experience as well.

Accommodating to our schedule for start-date of project. Team was punctual and professional throughout the process. Cleaned work site before leaving for the night. I wouldn’t say it is dust-free sanding, but dust was at a minimum. The floors look unbelievably good. We are very happy with the work.

Called them for a quote, price was better than what I could get from re-finisher out of Portland. They had to schedule a couple of weeks out, but something opened up and they were able to get in early. It was huge help because I had tenants moving in. Price was best out of three that I called and was thinking about using them for my Portland home as well. Dave was willing to talk extensively about options for my Portland home after completing the Salem job.
