Jerry came out and did the estimate. He was very professional, nice, and easy to talk with. Answered all my questions and we were able to schedule the work in a timely manner. The crew that came out and did the work was GREAT! Tim was wonderful to work with, and even during the tear out when he had to tell me that the subfloor wasn't what they expected, he explained all my options. He did not pressure me to make one decision over another, and in the end, I knew I was making an informed decision. Even though it cost a bit more than the original estimate, I am happy with the way things were handled and the outcome. The crew members, Bill and Cory worked very hard to keep the dust to a minimum during the actual work and cleaned up everything when they were done. I was also impressed with how well Tim worked with his crew, encouraging them all through the day and complementing them on their hard work. Did I mention the floor turned out beautifully? Tim spent time after the install answering my questions about maintaining the wood floor (since I have never had one), and was very helpful. As a matter of fact, I will be scheduling time soon for Tim to return and buff the old floor which will make it match the new floor even better. Thank you Jerry, Tim, Cory and Bill for a beautiful job!

The work was absolutely exceptional. I bought a new home and prior to moving in wanted new hardwood flooring installed. Doug's ideas were very creative and looked so wonderful. I had him install red oak with Brazilian Cherry accents. I have had two other wood floors installed in the last twenty years and I thought they looked very good until Doug installed the floors in my new home. These floors were, I would say, 100% better then what I had done in the past. Doug and his crew were considerate and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Oregon Wood floors to anyone that wanted some classy, superior looking hardwood floors in their abode. Total Quality and value.

We finally had our hardwood floors refinished through-out the whole house and they look amazing! It was not easy moving everything out of the house for the week but the guys worked quickly and did a great job. The owner, Jerry, was very prompt in getting things going and very helpful and attentive. He even gave us some oak flooring when we ran out of our stack of replacement pieces so we could finish up some repair work on our old hardwood floors. We also truly appreciated the time he took to make sure that the stain and finish we chose was the right one. And they are! We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Great price for such fabulous work. Should of done it sooner!

Doug coordinated his crew to accommodate our schedule. We needed them to complete the job on the end of the week before our new kitchen cabinets were installed. Doug's workers were professional, efficient and completed the job on schedule. His ideas for finishing the floors to maintain the character of this historic home were excellent. His estimate was well below the other estimates that we had and everyone who sees the house comments on the beautiful floors. ne who asks for a recommendation.

The service turned out very well. They made the new and existing floors match and they look great. You cannot even tell they were done at different times. We will call them again in the future.

I hired Oregon Wood Floor and Doug was accommodating with the time frames I'd requested. He and his crew worked very hard to provide the least amount of disruption on our living arrangements as possible. Of course, there were several problems once the carpet was pulled up, but the employee expertise was able to make the needed repairs and blend the new fir in with the old as well as possible.

During the work Doug was communicating options and the costs involved with each. He was excellent to work with in that way. My experience with Oregon Flooring was wonderful and I’d wholeheartedly recommend them to others needing wood flooring restoration work done.

They appear to have done an very good job: there is very little waviness in any floor, and the sanding appears to go right up to the wall edges. It can be difficult to do a good job on fir floors, since the wood is soft and the slightest inattention will lead to a botched job. They also did a good job on the flight of stairs, and Doug's suggestion that they refinish the treads and not the risers resulted in a job that looks good and didn't cost a fortune. I have a few little niggles: I should have asked them to take up the quarter round in one room where there was incomplete trim. I was surprised that they didn't put all the doors back on their hinges (they remove the doors to make the work go faster). In the kitchen I found that there was an odd stain that didn't sand out; I'm not totally surprised that it is still there, just surprised that Doug forgot to mention it to me during the process, since he was generally very communicative and responsive throughout the whole process. Overall, though, I'm very pleased and the improvement in the floors has been a big plus in attracting a quality set of tenants.

They showed up on time, jumped right on it, and finished on time. Very good craftsmen, cleaned up as they went. They had one staple hit a nail and come up through the board after it was installed. BARELY noticeable, in fact they had to point it out to me! They cut out the board and replaced it so that I couldn’t tell which board it was. I’m currently getting another bid from them to do some stairs and hallways. They did another house of mine a year ago, and did great work there also. I’m trying to think of some constructive criticism to balance this report…but, I can’t think of anything bad about these guys. Check my other reports, I rarely give perfect grades. I gave Oregon Wood Floor straight A's.

Oregon Wood Floor was brought in after the original hardwood was discovered under the vinyl in the kitchen, and the dining room floor was damaged when the ceiling above was removed. After the original estimates on working on the kitchen and dining room, we realized the hardwood carried into the entryway and living room. Doug gave us our first set of estimates, for just the dining room floor. We later dealt with Jerry, after having been told by several other "experts" that the kitchen floor wasn't worth trying to restore, Jerry understood my desire to keep it, regardless of flaws, and quoted a very reasonable price to do so. We faced a number of issues, nails and staples hammered into the floor, gouges, water stains, hideous patches, tons of paint, possible asbestos, etc. We pulled the livingroom and entryway carpet/pad/staples/tack strips up ourselves to save on costs. Upon completion of the job {and remember, others had said it couldn't be done}, Doug and Jerry knocked $100 off the estimate as it was easier than they'd anticipated, a very nice surprise and a testament to their integrity. We're immensely pleased with how the floors turned out. Upon inspecting them at the end of the job we discovered that the hardwood actually extends through the hallway and into the master bedroom, we fully intend to hire Oregon Wood Floors again in a year or two to when we can afford it. One of the contractors who'd given us a bid on the floors is doing other work in the house, and was impressed by the job done by Oregon Wood Floors, as well as telling us we'd gotten "an amazing bargain/steal"
