Mr G's Tree & Hedge Pruning

Mr. G's only problem is that he sets his prices off the top of his head. There's no sheet or list that says how much this costs or how much that costs.  I had them butcher the magnolia this time. It's a big tree, and man, it would hang over the hedge and cut the hedge off, and it was just a mess.  And this time they did it, I said, "I want you to cut it the way I want it". It looks like a great big, like you picked a big flower off of, out of itself. You hold up the flower and it's got a big head of beautiful colour on it? That's all this is. There are three branches that curve up from that tree and a huge bush on top of it.  Not bad. 

They did a good job because the boss wasn't here. It's a lot better when he's not standing down below them.

He also braced our fairly large maple tree that was going to split and eventually had to be taken down. They sound like they are pretty experienced and have been in the business for almost 30 years. The person we talked to is pretty much like a supervisor and he has his crew come in and he stands back and watches and tells them what needs to me done and when it done is looks nice. He did a good job on the hedge and it was trimmed perfectly. He was here when he said he would be and he was professional. We have used him off and on for the last 10 years, since we moved here.
