This outfit is a delight to deal with.  They showed us exactly what we asked for and were very patient with us as we chose a vinyl pattern.  They gave us multiple pieces of vinyl to take home to help with our decision.  Due to the fact that this was due to a broken pipe, we were rather stressed throughout the entire "rebuild" and Jerry could not have been easier to deal with.  His carpet/vinyl folks arrived on time and did a wonderful, professional job.  The sub-contractor that did our extra tile work was a wonderful craftman.

The three man crew was punctual, and worked a long day. Too long, probably. They were eager to leave, and hardly cleaned up. It took me about 45 minutes to sweep and tidy up after them. The work product was good. However, they didn't replace the metal vent covers, over the vents. I came up with an extra one, after I replaced the vent covers. That means that they covered up a vent, with the pad and carpet. I wouldn't use this company again. The manager knocked $80 off the bill, after he heard my complaint.

We had not heard of this company before, but driving by the building one day stopped in and was helped by David. He showed us what they had in their warehouse and sent us home with samples. He then came at our request and measured and provided a quote. We decided we wanted a different style and David ordered samples for us that were sent to the house. We selected and purchased the carpet, and it arrived in their warehouse that same week. We scheduled the install, and on the agreed day the installers arrived promptly and completed the rooms that we had moved furniture from. The following day, the returned and completed the remaining rooms. They were very professional, courteous, and helpful. The carpet and pad were installed properly and look fantastic. It is very rare that you bring someone in to do work on the house, they deliver everything that was promised, and you are completely satisfied, but my experience with JK Carpets is one of those times. Excellent work, and the price was very good. We did get other quotes on the exact same carpet, and David's was the best. Highly recommended, and we are working with them on another flooring job.

From walking into JK's building through seeing my new floors, the process was simple and efficient. David assisted in choosing the vinyl with no pressure for an upsale. The installer worked straight thru the day and into the evening to get the job done. Floors look great. Price was was the middle of the three quotes I received - much lower than one and slightly higher than another. Glad we chose JK's as their quote covered everything including some extra subfloor work we were not anticipating to make it all level.

I think the price was excellent, but the quality was not, they left a bit more scratches than I thought there would be. They really need to use e-mail a little bit better. We are planning to give them a call again to replace the carpet in the bedroom.

They had great customer service. They were recommended to me and I had gone to a few other places for bids as well. Once the process started with them, everything went smoothly. They were very timely and came out when they said they would. They measured and quoted everything, helping me to pick out the colors and design of the flooring. The timeliness of getting the job done was very good. When we had a few hiccups they stood by their work and took care of it right away. We would definitely use them again.

I was not given a complete quote on the vinyl install...by the time it was all added up, the extras totaled several hundred over the original quote. I was also told it would be done in two separate stages, so I wouldn't be put out of my house and without a working toilet during the install. Once the installer showed up, I was informed I had to dismantle my second bathroom that day so it could be done also. I was also told I would be put out of the house for 2 days. The installer didn't bring a shopvac to clean up after he sanded prior to floating the floor for install prep. So all along the edges (in the kitchen especially), the vinyl didn't get glued down because of dust and dirt. After he left, I discovered one nail was left out on the stair tread, and two doorways (where the vinyl met the carpet) weren't attached solidly down after the vinyl was slipped under the carpet. I called 3 1/2 months ago, and was told he would be back to take care of those issues. I am still waiting.

Although the show room is very rough and kind of sketchy, this carpet is by far the least expensive you'll find in the Salem area. As long as they have a remnant your size (they have very large remnants), you can buy at a discount. We bought two different carpets. The installation guy was very quick and professional, and not creepy at all. The installation was scheduled within a week of our purchase on both occasions.
