J & J STUMP & TREE REMOVAL

I called J&J, on a Tuesday morning. By that afternoon, the owner was there to give a free estimate. I was given the estimate to take down 2 trees. By Wednesday morning, by 8 am. there was a crew of 4 , VERY polite, young men who discovered that one of the trees, (view was covered by bushes from afar) , was actually on the neighbors property. So the estimate was changed on the spot, and one one huge tree, hovering over our barn was taken down in about an hour. The crew came prepared with a boom truck and were very professional!

Horrible. We should have known since the owner was no show/no call on multiple appointments. The bid was for $3600, the bill was $4500. No contract and no invoice. The requested work was not done correctly. The owner never showed up on site during the work. The crew way over-trimmed the trees and ruined the look. I showed them how high but after I left they just kept going. They had a vacant lot to drop the trees coming down but they put one right across the driveway onto the neighbors prize Japanese Maple. They ripped open a locked gate and took equipment through the front lawn even though there was full drive up access to the project and they were told to go in that way. We could not get a returned phone call on these issues. It stretched out for months. We could have saved the headache of going to the CCB and trying to get this resolved - do yourself a favor - pick a quality company and stay away from J & J Stump and Tree Removal.

I spent $895 on that service.  It was horrible, but he took that down without a complaint in the world.  It was a nice clean job, but I liked his people’s clean up.  He said the only problem, if there was one is that he did not get the total stump out.  The equipment he brought in to take the stump out was too big and he could not get it done that way.  I thought that the price was fair for what he did.  I would use him again in the future if needed.  The fact that he did not bring a smaller rig, wasn’t his fault.
