Home Fire Stove was excellent in service and installation. The entire process went smoothly, professionally, on budget, and the installation staff even finished getting my woodstove in and ready for use in less than the estimated 5 hours I was quoted. Store personnel were readily available for any questions I had and responded quickly and cheerfully. A+ all the way!

Install crew showed up on time. Crew was polite and professional and made time to answer questions and address concerns. Employees at the showroom were also very helpful and patient when we were picking out the options we wanted.

They haven't gotten the stove up and running yet because I have to have an inspection, but I assume things will be fine, they did well.

We moved into a new house and discovered our gas fireplace didn't work. After much research on available vendors, we decided to call Home Fire Stove and I'm so glad we did. Eldon arrived on time and did a complete diagnostic of the fireplace. BOY does he know his stuff! He told us what part needed to be replaced (and the price was inexpensive, not inflated), spent time showing us how the unit worked, and what kinds of things should flag us that a part needed to be replaced or service was needed. All of this during the original, no cost inspection. He was professional, affable and knowledgeable, all in one package. He's coming back to install the part we need, as well as clean the unit to put in brand new condition. Wow. You don't see this kind of service very often anymore. A lot of companies should be taking notes.

I contacted Home Fire Stove about removing a wood burning fireplace insert. All of the individuals I talked with were very pleasant and professional, and gave good and thorough explanations of what the process would be and the cost. I was able to get a next business day appointment which was great timing.
The workers who conducted the removal were very punctual, professional and quick about their work. They were careful about each step to be sure that as little dust and ash were dispersed as possible, cleaned up the area when they were done, and were very efficient about the whole move. I was impressed that the whole process only took about 25 minutes. The price is extremely fair with the fact that the stove probably weighed upwards of 450 pounds, and Home Fire Stove completed the decommissioning / destruction process. Thanks for such a prompt and efficient service!

Great job. These folks are perfectionists and very customer service oriented. I can't say enough about how helpful they were: explaining, listening, collaborating, even custom metal work. It felt like a lot of money, but they earned it! We visited other vendors but didn't get any other estimates, so I don't have a price comparison.

They really helped me narrow down which product I needed based on the details I gave them. They were really helpful in picking out something I was happy with. They did the full service too.

A pleasant and very knowledgeable young man named Elden arrived promptly and dismantled every part of my gas fireplace.  I had scheduled a service call because the remote was not working.  However, Elden knew instantly that the remote was fine and the real problem was that the fireplace should be cleaned EVERY year and mine had been neglected for 13 years!  I was embarrassed as I usually take great care of anything I own and had no idea this should have been done.  Elden carefully cleaned every little piece and then reassembled the whole thing and shined the glass to a sparkle. I was shocked at how beautiful the fireplace could be.

They are very responsive to the needs of the customer. There is not much to a finished product. They were neat and responsive.

The repair person used a dropcloth to catch the fine-powder soot that was accumulating inside the stove as the result of a poor air/gas mixture. After a few days, the soot began to build up inside the stove windows once again. I called the company and was advised to make a minor adjustment to the gas feed to prevent poor combustion. (Apparently, the repair person hadn't been exacting when he made the same adjustment. That's okay by me. It takes time to get it right.) I made the suggested adjustment at the time, and haven't had a soot buildup since.

The young man was on time and and I agree with another reviewer, it did seem a very high price for a minimal job (I didn't see the coupon until the next day) especially since there was still dust and dirt remaining on top and in the decorations of the facing. The first Fire Stove employe did not seem to understand how to set the thermostat and it would only come on in the middle of the night. I called the store and everyone was great from then on. The second "individual" came quickly and fixed everything. All has worked perfectly since. Thank you Firestove.

Did job fine, but ended up being a very minimal task for overall cost

I went to the store.  Saw some demo models. Made arrangements for an estimate.  The salesman, also an installer, suggested I consider running the gas line for the future gas range at the same time. As this might save me some money in the future.  I got an estimate.  They came out and did the work.  They were fast and efficient.  The inspector signed off on the permit.  I am happy.

Jimmy from HOME FIRE STOVE and his helper pulled the insert, removed the 'left on' shipping strap, install the missing (required) gas shut off value, programmed the new (correct) remote, and properly installed the Insert, logs etc. (We had no idea so many things had been done improperly.) He also showed how to get to the fireplace controls and how to program and use the remote.

Now, the fireplace Insert looks beautiful, fits properly and works as we had originally planned. It's so wonderful not to worry if our fireplace is safe. We feel so very "THANKFUL" that HOME FIRE STOVE agreed to check the "original" fireplace insert installation and correct any problems found.

We will certainly be using HOME FIRE STOVE for the yearly inspection and will never have anyone but them touch our fireplace.

The price was a lot less than we had expected.

Eldon called to let me know his prior service call was taking longer than expected, and kept me apprised on his E.T.A., letting me know when he was on his way.  He was extremely knowledgeable and professional.  He worked very carefully with all of the hard-to-handle parts of my system, explaining a lot about it that I didn't know.  Those are the little extras that are so valuable to a homeowner.  He did a great job and a thorough cleanup, answered all my questions and I was well-pleased.  I would definitely use Home Fire Stove of Salem again.
