He was able to keep the deck in one level which was important to us. I have no problems with them.

We appreciated his professionalism, punctuality and quality.  He worked on the project for a day and a half and cleaned up at the end of each work day.  Bradley had good suggestions about the design of our project that added to our overall satisfaction in the end.  We would hire Happy Construction again.

.We were very happy with Happy Const.  Bradley responded to my phone call promptly, provided a bid when he said he would, and started worked promptly.  The job took about 2 days and Bradley cleaned up after each day.  Since the work was being done in our bedroom we appreciated this.  Bradley had a couple of suggestions that really improved the project with only minimal additional expense.  We will definitely call Bradley again.

We were very pleased.  He showed up on time, took care to clean up when he finished each day. Brian offered suggestions that improved the project with minimal additional cost.  All-in-all a project where we got everything we had envisioned and a little more.  We would use this contractor again.

It took two times to get things completely done because a simple mistake was made during the original installation of the five posts. After a horrendous hassle with the company making the turned cedar posts (in PA), Bradley brought the last post to us for pre-installation painting. Because the hassle with the company resulted in our getting the complete set of posts free, we opted to have Bradley install the railing system to show our support of him.  I watched and learned some great lessons as he and his helper Bill made short work of the rails and balusters.  When done everything was cleaned up like they had never been here. The only reason "punctuality" is marked a B is he had to cancel the scheduled day for the second trip and showed up a bit late on the reschedule. I never knew why and figured it was probably none of my business.  I would rehire Happy Construction with no reservations.

It went very well. Brad is very professional, personable and explained what he was going to do and then did it.  He cleaned up completely after the work was done. I was very pleased with his work. He is a fine young man and I will definitely use him again.

We are still in the process of collecting bids for a rather smallish project (replacing five porch posts). Bradley has been the most responsive of anyone we have had come to look at our job. Because it is so small, we have agreed on an hourly rate rather than a job bid. That alone is a little scary but he comes across quite likable and sounds honest. He even gave us suggestions for doing the railing replacement as a DIY.

Bradley is great to work with - he's personable, professional, and good at his job.  My ground floor deck was destroyed in an ice storm year ago and removed.  Had Bradley and his team rebuild that deck using artificial wood.  The upper floor deck was intact, but in poor shape.  I intended to have them replace only the flooring, but Bradley pointed out several structural deficiencies and convinced me we needed to rebuild the entire deck.  The expense was daunting, but having a reliable structure that is likely to outlast me, and never having to resurface it again makes it worthwhile.  The pump house was just old and falling apart.  Bradley and his crew tore down the old structure and build a new one without any disruption in service.
All of the old material was hauled away, and they did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves, though I did have to clear some debris after the un-used materials were picked up by the hardware store.

I was beyond satisfied with Happy Construction.  On the initial visit which was over a year and another flood ago, they went under the house to check for damages.  Instead of just an estimate or taking pictures, they actually pulled all the wet insulation away from my flooring preventing further damage from happening.  I was really impressed since I had not even hired them yet.  So, when it flooded again, it didn't cause the original estimate to go up other than the material prices that of course go up!  My kitchen floor was ceramic tile and not easy to pull up, but they were very good natured about that and all the other little problems that cropped up in my "Murphy's Law"  house.  I would highly recommend this company!

Happy Construction is a prompt and efficient operation. They start and finish on time, and do everything they promise. Definitely well above the norm one is used to seeing in the construction industry in terms of timeliness. There is a definite sense of pride in the work they do.
So far, this is the third time this year we have had them work on our house. The first time was to build a deck, the second to install french doors and this time to repair our siding and complete some unfinished projects that we couldn't get to ourselves.

This was mine and my boyfriends first time using a contractor to do
anything.  We re-located my salon into our guest house and needed some
tweaking done to it.  Although he took a little longer then he
originally said it turned out just perfect.  Price wise i am not sure
how to grade it considering this was our first time though our budget
was maxed out by the time it was done.  Great job though!!

The only issue I have found is that at least one of the pressure treated 4x4's are of poor quality w/ large knots that are going to come loose and weaken the structure. This was not found until after the job was done and payment made.  Suggest looking over, under and around your project before making payment. I didn't so the problem is mine now.

Bradley and his helper began by removing the old deck and carting away all the parts of it. Then they started putting in the new foundation for the new deck and the dog park. The dog park equipment was installed next, which let us use it while the deck was being done. Then, they worked on building the beautiful new deck, which included a great built in tunnel so the cats could go downstairs to the enclose play area from the second story deck.
The screened room is amazing. It is well built, and very well insulated. The cats can enjoy being 'outside' - even in rainy weather.
We are so happy with all that he got completed in a timely manor for a reasonable cost that we have already talked to him about a couple of other projects we look forward to having him do.

Met me at a local home improvement store to select countertop material and style of molding for the mantle. Proceeded to prepare the countertop for the new laminate. Installed the two additional faucets and mounted the tvs. Returned the following day to complete the work in the laundry room. Cut and constructed the mantle on site. Very courteous and prompt. Completed everything I requested without any problems. Excellent job of cleaning up the work areas.

My experience with Happy Construction was GREAT!!!
It started with the bid.  Brad provided a very detailed bid that listed the different things we talked about, Pacific Teak TimberTech boards, facia, Black post covers, caps, skirts and ballast, Redwood color top and bottom rails, post cap lighting, accent lighting, stair lighting, conceal loc screws.  He sat down with me to explain the bid and why composit decks cost so much more than Redwood/Ceder decks.  He explained what was parts and what was labor.  It was THE best bid and explanation of a bid for any of the four bidders.
They started right when they said they would.  They guys showed up and went to town.  When they ran into the foundation issues with the house, I was quite ... unnerved.  They were very confident about how to attack the issue.  I was out of my element.  I trusted them (and that is hard for me.)  They did great.  They figured a day's labor and parts to correct it.  By the next morning, they were back on track.
They were always very posative.
I was working from home, but when I had to leave, they took care to watch out for the dog.
They quoted 2-3 weeks, depending upon weather.  We had five days of pretty hard rain and a day's delay from the foundation.  The project took 3 weeks and two days.  (There were other days of lighter Oregon rain, when they worked.)
Throughout the whole project, they kept me informed of any issues, asked questions where they were not sure and were professional throughout. 
My wife and I had certain pictures in mind of what our new deck would look like.  This exceeded all expectations and has added great value to our house.
I would hire Happy Construction back in a heart beat.  (I have asked them to bid replacing my fence next.)

The overall experience made an unexpected expense much easier to deal with. I came away with some knowledge and good feelings.

When I called in to talk to him, he was in Alabama and he called me back.  He said he would be at our home in five days by 5:00 and at 5:00 he was here at my house.  He spent two days to convince the state to get the approval to put my carport up near my home.   We will continue to use his services in the future, and will tell others about him and the many things that he did to help us get our new carport in. 

The entire project went well.  The guys from Happy Construction were great to work with.  We had the work done during the winter to try and take advantage of labor and material saving during the off season.  This also serves to have the deck done in preparation for Spring and Summer.  There were some very bad weather days where the guys did not work (a couple of times at my request), but the deck was still completed in a timely manner.  Due to the nature of my location and doing the work during the winter, there was some damage to the grass from repeated trips in and out of the area while it was very wet, but this was expected and has mostly repaired itself over the last few weeks.  Brad and Todd paid a lot of attention to detail, and I am very happy with the result.  The guys were very friendly and had great attitudes while spending all day in frequently cold and wet weather.  The project was completed on time for the price that was agreed to.  I am very satisfied with the results.

I spent $900 on the job. They are very detailed. They will keep you updated on everything. They do what they say they are going to do. If there are any bumps on the road, they will let you know. They are very informative. They do a very good job and they clean up after themselves. They will also do a little extra to clean up the place. I will consider using them in the future. 

Bradley and his assistant began building a deck for us on 9/12/2011.  All supplies were delivered the day before he needed them.  They began their work promptly each day and were cheerful and courteous.  They always let me know when they were leaving, what they had done, what they were waiting for, what they would be doing the following day.  They continued this for the week they worked, even on the rainy days.  They always cleaned up before leaving and he always did it with a smile.  These two guys worked well together and Bradley always had a smile on his face.  I knew I was going to miss his whistling when he was done.  Our deck and roof  is solid.  The work is excellent. When I first called his company I thought the name of his company was kind of corny, but it is VERY descriptive  of this company.  This guy is happy!  He made me want to be happy too. I couldn't have asked for more.

If/when I need more construction work done I will be sure to call HAPPY CONSTRUCTION to do our work.

They were friendly. They were quick and timely. They kept the job site clean during the construction process. I will use them again in the future.

I am very pleased with the results.  The paint looks excellent.  They took great care in the prep before painting (there were a lot of screw holes in the walls as well as other issues) and great care to mask off moulding and the transition to ceiling.  All this care resulted in a very good result.  The faucet installation was perfect and it looks and works great.  The wax seal for the toilet went well, however after they left, I noticed some water on the floor that appeared to be a leak.  I called Brad about it and with my agreement, he planned to come the next moring and resolve the issue.  I dried up the water that evening and checked it the next morning and flushed the toilet several times and did not see any more water on the floor.  I called Brad early that next morning and let him know that I dried the water and did not see any further leak and released him from coming by to look in to the issue.  Although this appears to be a non-issue, it is important to me that Brad was willing to come by and make it right when I thought I found a problem.  The caulk job in the bathroom looks excellent as well.  It was all money well spent  I plan on having Happy Construction install a temporary parking "gargage" for me soon, and replace a deck for me over the winter if I can save the money by then.  If not, I will have them do my deck when I do have the money saved.

Brad and Trevor we very nice to work with and to have in my home.  They left my home clean and tidy when they were done.  I look forward to working with them again.

Jim and Brad handled the entire job promptly and professionally, finishing in a timely manner with minimal intrusion with one section of the outside wall being open just one day.  Beautiful result on all counts.

Removal job was difficult because tile floor had been installed after the original dishwasher was installed. He was able to get the old dishwasher out of a very tight spot without damaging either the counter or the floor. Job went very well. New dishwasher install was neat and correct.
