FINAL PHASE CLEANING INC

Barb managed to find a team to do the house within two days of closing, faster than any other company I called but considerably more expensive. They normally do only new-construction clean-ups prior to occupancy, so were outside their usual range of work, but Barb felt they could do it. However, results were very mixed. Some of the work was done perfectly: Light fixtures vacuumed and wiped, bathrooms thoroughly de-yucked, every last fingerprint removed from baseboards and window trim. However, major parts weren't done at all. When I got up on a ladder to replace a light bulb I saw that only an eighth of the dusty cabinet tops had even been touched. The oven was forgotten. Insects, stains and jam smears that I was able to easily wipe up myself were left in cabinets: I ended up re-cleaning the entire kitchen. A basement closet had only two of five shelves vacuumed, the rest had cobwebs, dead insects and deep dust that had been there for years.
