FIFIELD REMODELING & HOME IMPROVEMENT

We contacted Dale Fifield about a window replacement in a bedroom of our home. We specifically asked for two awning style windows which he said he could find for us. He measured and gave us an estimate promptly for $850 for the windows and installation. He wanted a $480 deposit which we gave. After several months of excuses such as sickness, pneumonia, Grandmother's death, the window company misplaced his order twice; we still did not have a window. We told him we were going to go elsewhere if he couldn't get the two windows. He set up two delivery dates which came and passed with more excuses. Three months after we gave our deposit, he delivered a single slider style window when we were not home. We called immediately to say this was the wrong window and wrong size and a pane had come out of the frame. He did not return numerous phone calls and we visitied him at his home to try and settle the matter. He became belligerent and said sue me and slammed the door in our faces. We chose not to sue due to extra costs for us and we knew his family had no money. We later found out there is a court case pending against him for theft. Please beware of this individual. He lied, behaved unscrupulously, and was a very difficult person, in genereal.
