IT went so well. Steve and Tim did an excellent job. They were so professional and friendly at all times. Steve was also the only contractor out of the 4 requested to give me a bid that called me. It was well worth the money, which I was an excellent price. I would highly recommend Steve for any work I needed done. The looks so good and the sprinkler system works so well.

Steve make time in his packed schedule to personally come out to the pond location. He took care of the most immediate problem by pumping out the icky pond water (and catching our crafty and elusive fish). He worked through the various possible causes of the problem and narrowed it down to the most likely one. With the emergency handled, we're on the schedule for a permanent fix.

Overall, the outcome of the project is beautiful. We love the paver patio and the backyard looks really great. We are very pleased with the results. Steve was great to work with and was always available and responsive. The only complaint we have is that the crew smoked on the job and the total paid was exactly at the maximum amount that could be charged.

The project went PERFECTLY. We found Steve Cravinho right here on Angie's List. After collecting bids, we chose Cravinho. And boy are we glad we did! At that time we didn't know Steve but his bid was the best value for our project. Steve gets it. He gets how to run a contracting business and he's got thousands of projects worth of experience. Steve always kept us informed about when the project might start, when he and/or the crew would arrive on site, status of the project--everything. Communication was outstanding. He and the crew worked like demons and did an absolutely perfect job on the project. The price was very fair and there were no surprises anywhere along the way. I called Steve (owner) and set an initial appointment but due to my 'on call' work schedule the first 3 appointments we had agreed on had to be cancelled. The first thing that impressed me about Steve was his complete professionalism in working with me to finally find a time we could get together and, if Steve said he'd call me back, he did ... and that registered very well with me.
When he arrived at my home I explained that I really didn't know what I wanted other than all grass and my flower beds to get water without the need of me standing around with a hose for 90 minutes each time. I explained that one of the reasons for the call was to speak with someone who could give me options rather than just blindly saying "I want a sprinkler system."
If I had to guess I'd say our meeting lasted a good hour or so as he carefully explained the different types of systems he thought would be best for what I needed. Not only did he take the time to tell me about the different systems (sprinkler and drip) but also where each would go and why he felt those would be best. We walked the yard together and he pointed out the where and why of each placement if he got the job.
When we were done he went to his truck and about 20 minutes later came and gave me a 'ballpark' figure for the work and said if I found it reasonable he'd write up a formal proposal and then I could get my two other bids I had told him I was going to get.
I was so impressed with Steve (friendly and very personable) that for the first time in all the years of being a home-owner the wife and I decided to forgo the other bids and gave him the job on the spot.
That was on Monday and he and his small crew (2 guys) arrived on Wednesday morning at 08:00 as agreed upon to begin work having already gotten the necessary permit.
They started at 08:00 Wednesday and finished at 15:00 on Thursday. The yard was left immaculate and Steve gave me a 'Hands-on' tutorial for using the 'Rain-Bird' control system ... he made it simple enough that even an old guy like me had no problem understanding.
I took before, during and after pictures if anyone would like to see them and I can readily state that I would recommend Steve Cravinho and his crew to anyone looking for a lawn irrigation company.
Further I absolutely feel that the money spent was well worth it.

Steve and his crew, Bob and Vicente provided excellent work. Steve clearly laid out all options and their pros and cons. Price was reasonable. Work was finished on time. Workmanship was outstanding. I would gladly use them for any of my future landscaping needs.

I got bids from 3 contractors, and all were within a couple hundred dollars of each other. I gave the job to Steve Cravinho because he seemed the most interested in understanding what I wanted to accomplish, and his suggestion to use drought resistant sod. The cost for the irrigation work was an unknown because we did not know how much would be dug up during the excavation work. Therefore that part of the job was done at an hourly rate, and turned out to be a very reasonable price. Steve was very good about communicating with me on his schedule, and once work was started on the project, his crew got it done very quickly. They cleaned the driveway, sidewalks and landscaped areas before they left. I am very happy with the result.

Mr. Cravhino began by giving me a thorough explanation in writing of expenses for landscaping the sloped area beside and behind my home. His team showed up as promised and worked hard to perform the job right and efficiently. This was January and they had to work around some mud. It was challenging and they seemed to display a passion for the work and creating a good finished product. By mutual agreement, the work was halted before completely finished because of the wet ground conditions. I paid in full for the work completed.
I gave his name to my neighbor and he came out to consult with her or her landscaping needs. According to my neighbor, Mr. Cravhino never made further contact with her after that visit and she was left without follow-through.
In addition, Mr. Crahvino was to get back to me in June, 2015 to finish the work on my landscaping. However, I didn't hear from him throughout the summer. Finally, in August I called and left a message at his office number requesting follow through. After hearing nothing back for several days, I contacted Greenway Scapes and they promptly finished the work at a good price.
I'm disappointed that Crahvino Lighting and Landscaping was not able to follow-through and complete my landscaping project.
I'm also embarrassed that I gave his name to my neighbor and she had a bad experience. Though the work he performed was well done, for the cost of his service, which was the higher of two estimates I acquired, I expected more professionalism.

Steve the owner, Bob, and Vicente, were very good to work with. They responded quickly to questions and suggestions. I made several additions to the original plan as the work progressed, and everything was taken in stride and completed quickly. I researched these folks on Angie's List and the Oregon Landscape Contractors board and we are completely satisfied.

The contractor was very professional and did a great job. They waited after the initial installation of sprinkler heads and the valve control system for us to have some electrical updated to accommodate the location of the control panel. They filled in the ditches in the yard with good soil and replanted those areas with a special mulch to help ensure grass would grow back. Meanwhile, they worked on paving the side area along the house. They moved a small shed out of the way, regraded the area, and installed the new pavers with black landscape material underneath to deter weeds. After the electrician installed a new outlet, the owner provided a lesson on exactly how everything worked with the sprinkler system and was readily available when I had questions afterwards.
The contractor delayed completion of the job to allow for a few dry days before putting the poly sand on the paver system and withheld a small amount from the bill until that was completed.
We are very happy with the work, and we finally have a cleaned up utility area along the side of the house and a nice looking lawn.

In short, Steve Cravinho and crew were fabulous.
Steve met with us first to learn what we wanted to do and provide a quote on our landscape project. He soon found out that we were floundering a bit, and were unsure how to move forward. He then referred us to a landscape plant specialist who could help us with a planting plan, Tambi Gifford. She was awesome. She visited us, listened to what we thought we wanted, and then put together a planting plan for us in about 2 hours. Very cool.
Once we had that, Steve met with us. Actually, he met with us multiple times. Our plans kept changing for various reasons, and he stayed with us through the craziness we presented him. Finally after several iterations we had a good idea of what we really wanted to do.

They did an awesome job! Steve Cravinho (owner) performed a very thorough assessment of the work needed and submitted a detailed proposal with many options and the price difference expected with each option. He was always available by phone or text and responsive to any and all questions and concerns. He kept us up-to-date with any changes in plans or schedule and was at the site daily. He and his crew were professional, hardworking, prompt, worked around our schedule and had a great attitude.
On the very first day they found a water main leak, had the city come take a look, got all the permits needed, and fixed it. We were at work and essentially unavailable except for a couple of phone calls, but were so thankful they had the knowledge and resourcefulness to correctly remedy this unexpected situation at a reasonable cost.
They installed 11 stations to cover our lawns and extensive garden beds, with stub-outs for later expansion if we want. Our garden is over 100 yrs old and contains many perennials and roses...and A LOT of tree roots. They went to great lengths to disturb as few of our beloved plants as possible in the process, and carefully moved those that were in unavoidable areas. We were on a budget, so opted to do the back-filling and grass reseeding ourselves, but Steve's crew did some of the lawn sections anyway (no extra charge) because he did not want any lumps or valleys after the dirt resettled.
We can't wait for the warmer dry weather to try out our new system. We have quickly put it through its paces with no issues, but recent rain has not allowed a true test of its worth. I will certainly not miss standing out in the yard in the dark at 10 pm hand-watering after a 12 hour day at work!
