Builder constructing new house in neighborhood in what he calls Garden Estates. The rest of us call it Garbage Estates. He drives by everyday without stopping to take care of the problems he said would be fixed. He has never brought my screens, nor repaired the entry tile. For the last two summers my house has been an oven. After he put the cap on the furnace vent, he never came back to check to see if the furnace had stopped flooding. It did not.. I hired local HUAC person to check the furnace. The problem: the condensation pump was never connected. (I have before and after photos.) There was no way for the water to escape. I now have a furnace that is 2 years old and has rust inside. A year ago a tile person called to ask me what the color of the grout was in the entry way. I did not know so he was going to call Tyler and find out. It has been a year and no one has ever contacted me again. These are the problems that should have been fixed. I would like Tyler to live up to his word. The only thing that has been repaired was the electricity to my bedrooms. These things that I have done, or will have to do: I replaced the fence that I paid the builder $2000. for. The wood was one step up from palate wood, already falling apart; screws were not flush with the surface, some sticking out a half inch on the head side; other screws were too long and protruded 2 inches on the back side. The wood on my front porch is starting to warp. Not all the siding screws are flush. I had to have a barrier built to keep the water from entering my crawl space. I will have to repaint the master bathroom as the paint has one coat in places. I don't know how I will remove the grout. I am a 71 year old woman who made a big mistake by purchasing this house. In the past few months I have watched the siding being removed from the two houses across the street as there was mold underneath. I dread what will happen to this house as the houses here are all built by Chase Construction. The neighbors have had similar experiences to mine, some very costly.
Description of Work: Bought new house. Had cracked entry way floor tile. Builder replaced it. The tile broke again. Builder brought new tile and left. House missing window screens. Builder measured twice (wrong the first time). Only brought three screens. Have none on front three windows. With 7 skylights in house I need the screens. New furnace was full of water. Tyler Chase said it was because there was no cap on the vent. He capped the vent last winter when he and an electrician came to rewire bedrooms so I could have more than one item turned on. Also, have dried grout on bathroom/shower floors, half a paint job in bathroom, warped entry porch wood.
