This is the second time we have hired Caudle's Tree Service and we will use no other! They were on time, knew what we desired and followed through perfectly! I cringed a little at watching them pruning our huge tree, but I know it’s necessary for the overall health of the tree. When they finished, it was beautiful still! Great job at a fair price! See you guys again in a few years! Thanks for the professional job well done!

I have used Caudle's Tree service a number of times over the years. Today the crew showed up on time, were very knowledgeable and professional, cleaned up the yard and street afterwards and it looked like they hadn't been there. Very happy with the way our trees look, very natural appearance. Reasonable price for the work performed. Would highly recommend for any tree services you might need.

They did a good job of trimming the two large trees in my yard and I am happy with the final result. I plan to use Caudles Tree Service for future maintenance but I did have a few concerns about the crew who performed the work: 1) The crew left an inordinate amount of firewood in several piles all over my lawn instead of adding it to the pile near my shed. It rained for several days after the job was done which end caused the piles to settle into a muddy mess that killed my lawn in places. I spent the better part is a day hauling wood to the pile bear my shed. Not fun. :( I feel like I should be giving them a lower grade for this but, again, they did a pretty decent job with the trees. 2) Many of the crew members were smoking while they worked on my property. I realize that they were outside but it still caused me to question their professionalism. 3) There were crushed energy drink cans and candy wrappers left on my lawn after the crew left.

Caudle's Tree Service was referred by a friend who used them to remove several trees in their yard, and later to limb a fir. I then reviewed their listing on Angie's List as well as other tree service professionals. I spoke with Danny Caudle by phone to set up an estimate appt. this past summer. My backyards had become quite overgrown such that sunlight hardly penestratated the tree canopy to light flower beds and garden area. Tree limbs were growing out over the flower beds and toward the deck and needed removal. Danny suggested opening the canopy of the trees by removing branches in the tops of the trees, as well as removing lower branches. He estimated that it would take a day with a four man crew at about $1000, and they may not be able to trim the arborvitae hedges that had grown tall, most never having been cut. He advised that his schedule was full for several months and he would call me when they were ready. Partly, he needed to wait because of the fruit trees. He called me in Oct. but I was out of state. When I returned later that month, I phoned him. He gave me a choice of three dates. The morning of the service, he and the crew arrived fifteen minutes early at 8:15 a.m. We all walked through the yard reviewing the work to be done. I was impressed that even after several months, Danny recalled precisely what we had discussed at our first meeting. He didn't seem to have notes, nor was there a written estimate detailing the work to be done. He left the crew who began immediately. Three of them roped up and climbed into the trees and two others hauled limbs to the chipper. The large maple hanging over the back neighbor's fence was taken down in pieces, with no branches falling into the neighbor's yard or on the fence. It was fascinating to watch them maneuver among the limbs and watch which branches were removed. The men appeared to be very skillful, safety conscious and took much care when walking in flower beds below the trees. They took a break in the morning, and a half hour lunch break finished the day at 4:30 p.m.
The men were friendly, open to my questions, asked for my input as needed, and completed a couple other requests that had not been discussed at our morning meeting. In retrospect, I wish that Danny had told me who the crew learder was when he left. At the end of the day, one of the men presented me with the bill saying it was higher than the estimate because of the 5th man. He said that Danny told him that he was giving him five guys otherwise they would not get the job done. I guess I should have anticipted the extra charge, for the additional man, but it would have been helpful if Danny had told me in the morning when we did the walk through that he was leaving five men and what that cost would be extra. I do have a faint recollection that he told me what the per man per day cost was at the time of the estimate. However, he also said let's see how much the four man crew can do, and maybe they can get the hedge trimming done too as they are fast.
It seemed like a lot of money but overall, they did an immense amount of work and the yard looks wonderful. The trees are balanced and look natural. The arborvitae hedge rows are neat and uniformly flat across the top. The yard that was so badly overgrown is now open, allowing in much more light. I am quite pleased with their work; would hire them again, and have referred them to friends.

Caudles Tree Service did a great job for us. We had two buried tree stumps that we discovered while preparing some planting beds. One stump had a massive root system that needed to be removed. We couldn't dig them out so I called 3 companies from Angie's List for bids. Danny Caudle answered the phone right away and said he was just a few blocks away on another job and he would come later in the day to give me an estimate. He called about 1/2 hour later and asked if he could come right away. Danny was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. His estimate was reasonable in my opinion and the best part was that since his crew was just a few blocks away, they could do it the same day! I canceled the other 2 bid appointments. Jason, the stump grinder operator was polite and skilled at his job. The result was that now we have two very nice planting beds done from start to finish in just one day. I also had Danny give me a quote for a future job and we will definitely have his crew back later this summer to remove and grind down some arborvitae.

The team that did the work was efficient and effective. I was concerned that there would be damage to surrounding plants, but they were careful and there was none. They handled the trimming of the huge oaks with great care- tying off ropes to prevent huge limbs from falling freely and slowly lowering them to the ground. They were all kind about my hovering nearby (at a safe distance) to watch and learn from their work. They answered my occasional questions very politely and informatively. The work that they did was exactly as agreed from the original estimate and no more. When Danny came to do the estimate, he was not only honest and direct, but clearly experience and a lover of trees. He was just as interested in protecting my oaks as in trimming them safely. I highly recommend his busines to anyone who values honest estimates, quality work, and a caring owner.

overall it was a very reassuring and satisfying experience, we obtained quotes from 4 companies, Caudle tree returned our message within 24 hours, the owner, who is also the certified arborist showed up on time for the initial appointment, he was able to hear my ideas and he gave me a broad assessment from his expert view to better fulfill my ideas, he gave us a very competitive quote on the lower end of the 4 quotes and a time estimate on the longer end of the 4 quotes, he explained some of the technical issues and options and the differences between the quotes I have already gotten at that point, responding to my questions about the explanation and differences each sale representative from other tree companies offered, after the 4 quotes and reviews from Angie's list and others, we decided to call him for the business, there was a few weeks of waiting time, given that the company was well booked, however, it was worth the waiting, the crew of 4 showed up on time on the date of the appointment, the arborist stopped by at least between 4 times daily over period of 2 and half days to supervise, inspect the progress, ask us for feedbacks and ensuring that we were satisfied as the work progresses, we were suspicious about quotes that promised to accomplish the same job with a crew of 4 in just 1 day, we do believe that in order to do a good job, time is a factor and we didn't want to get somebody who rushes through and make the cuts in some standardized or patterned or formulated way mindlessly and we were glad that we got Caudle's tree, because their crew of 4 worked non stop averaging 20 hours plus to get the job done, from our perspective, a job well done, they also were able to leave some of the chips behind for the yard as we requested and they left the yard clean after their work, we paid the exact amount as estimated and to ensure our peace of mind, the arborist agreed to charge only for the time work, never more than the estimate, but if the work would have taken less, they would have made the adjustment to recognize the difference, they didn't take firewood size pieces which we didn't think of asking in the beginning, however, when we called after they have collected and job done, they were able to arrange to have a gentleman coming to pick all up before the day ended, our trees will be good for another 5 years or more, this experience was entirely opposite to the first work we contracted 5 years ago with another local company who is famous for their very low quote, we recommend without reservation this great local tree service and they will be the only one we will need to call for our next tree service.

The two maples had last been thinned 8 years ago by another company and the job had been satisfactory. I am planning on building a garage near the largest maple which is why the canopy needed to be raised on one side. The quote for just those 2 maples from the company I had used previously was pretty steep. Danny quoted me a price for pruning the 2 maples and the six fruit trees that was significantly less than the other company's quote for just the maples, so I was able to afford a whole crew for the day. Everyone was friendly, professional and hard-working. I was initially concerned about how the large maple would look because so many branches had to be removed, but I was shocked at how beautiful it looked afterwards. That kind of effect takes some real skill and artistry. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and plan on having them trim my birch trees next year.

The owner himself arrived precisely on time to quote the job, which was 15% - 50% less than the competition. He called to let me know he could fit me in earlier than expected. His crew was quick and precise. The cleanup was good, but they did leave a couple of rounds from the tree behind. (I snuck them in the yard debris cart.)

The trees and branches I hired this company to remove were either leaning over my home, my neighbors homes or a neighbors fence. The tree they partially removed was at my request. I had them remove the portion of the tree leaning over my neighbors fence. I figured I could cut down the portion of the tree leaning into my yard and not a threat to hit my house or anything else of value. The original estimate was $1000-$1100. However, I added another branch leaning over my neighbors house when they showed up for work the morning of October 15. They had to rig up their climbing equipment and make a fairly difficult cut to get the branch down safely. For that reason, the final price was slightly higher than the initial estimate. They promised they would be in and out in a day. They were. They got the trees and branches down, ground the two stumps as agreed, and left trunks and branches greater than about three inches in diameter for me to cut up for firewood. They normally do the cutting of logs and branches into firewood either for the homeowner or for charity. I chose to do the firewood cutting myself because I wanted to pay them for what I was not able to do. They cut the logs into pieces small enough that I could at least roll. Everything else, meaning all the leaves and branches too small for firewood, were fed into a chipper and removed from my property. The volume of small branches and leaves would have overwhelmed me. They completely filled their chipper truck twice. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the branches and leaves. The four man crew worked well together. There was one person in the tree cutting the tree into pieces small enough to control as they fell to the ground. They would attach a rope to the more difficult pieces to guide the way to the ground. In a few cases, all three of the people on the ground would pull on the rope while the person in the tree was cutting to make sure the piece made it to the ground without damaging either my home, well, or my neighbors property. While one person was in the tree, the other three were either helping rig another tree for climbing, pulling on the rope to guide pieces down, grinding stumps, or dragging branches to and feeding the chipper. They all seemed to stay productively occupied the entire day. The only quibble I had was I found a small tear in a window screen several days later that I'm sure occurred during this tree removal operation. All in all, they did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. I ended up with about two cords of firewood from this operation. I would definitely hire them again.
