Matt was given 50% down to purchace materials. He sub-contracted the work to a crew that didnt speak english. The plywood hebought to replace the exsisting was not of the same thickness. The crew worked well with a breif break in working for another job elsewhere. During the roofing, Matt would stay in touch making sure I was satisfied with the crew. As far as I knew the roof looked sound. That fall the skylight in the kitchen leaked. This was the first of many contacts with Matt with concerns of inadequate ..roofing. Each time he would say he would come take a look when he wasnt so busy, when the weather was dry, when it was raining, in 3 weeks, at the end of the month. get the idea? he talked but never followed through to take care of the problem. Over timw the damage got unbearable. The kitchen skylight was ready to fall the skylight in the bedroom leacked with plaster falling and ruining my mattress. The chiminey was growing mushrooms inside, and he never would take responsiblility. I sent him a certified letter, that caught his attion. But he would be no show on the days he scheduled with me to come out. He did come 2 occassions. First he said i needed to replace the skylight, and the tv satalite was installed making the roof leak. He calked the skylite as a temperary fix. He calked it shut rather than sealing it. (it wont open now). 2nd time heconfessed that the crew he sub contracted was not lesienced and bonded and he could not afford to fix my roof. I had taken pictures of the actic from bothends of the house. It was soaking wet through out. Growing mold, fungi, and rott. He concluded it was the way my sunrooms were attatched and later sent me an estimate what he would charge to tear them down. I am still at a loss as to what to do to make this right.
