I have a 4 car garage with 3 openers which were around 1994 vintage. The one used the most (by the wife) finally gave up the ghost. Affordable Garage doors was my first choice based on reviews in my area. I ended up having 3 new openers installed and very pleased with the outcome. Mom/Pop shop, literally and Tom does all the installs paying attention to every details. He took extra time and fixed my rails which were severely out of alignment. You can tell he takes pride in his work and it shows. Will be calling them when my springs break. I appreciated the detail and fine work so much I gave tom a nice tip. I called around and found other companies were on average about $50-$75 more per opener installed. You can't go wrong with Affordable Garage Door.

Service man showed up on time left no mess was very courteous and professional and also programmed factory built in remotes in the cars for us.

We asked Affordable Garage Door for a second opinion on a repair/replacement garage door. The first vendor insisted that the door would need replacing. Tom from Affordable took a look and recommended a repair. He made the repairs and the door works better than ever! We will be contacting AGD again, if the door ever needs repair or maintenance!

My 15 year old Genie garage door opener would not close my garage door. I called Amy, at Affordable Garage Door to fix the opener, because they had the highest rating on Angie’s List. Tom always arrived on the scheduled day and on time. On the first day he performed tests to determine the problem, and informed me the motor needed to be replaced. I asked if it could be replaced as my opener was 15 years old. Tom said it could be hard to find, but he would try, and invited me to try as well if I wanted to. I called around, trying to find a new motor as Tom did, but my model was no longer produced, and I couldn’t find a replacement motor anywhere. I contacted a lot of garage door companies and found that many were recommending LiftMaster, but Linear openers were being touted as the premier opener of today. I contacted Tom and asked if he could find a Linear DC0800 opener with backup battery, and he told me he could have that opener in one day, and quoted me a better price than the other companies. He installed the new opener, adjusted my door, and it has never been quieter or operated better. All around, a great experience. Tom is friendly, knowledgeable, very fair, and provides a great product line-up, and has been in business for nearly 30 years. Tom was less expensive than other companies I contacted. The opener I bought from Affordable Door cost less with two openers and a back-up battery than any of the quotes I got from any other company for just the opener with one remote. If you’re going to go through this experience, I highly recommend Affordable Garage Door to help you through it, without getting too bruised up.

We were SO pleased with Affordable Garage Door from start to finish. Our garage door suddenly quit working. It began to open and stopped. The inside button didn't help much so finally my husband opened it manually and we left the car outside. We had never hired anyone to work on a garage door so I joined Angies List and began my search. We decided on Affordable Garage Door after reading the reviews. When I called I had to leave a message but my call was returned in less than half an hour. An appointment was set that worked with our schedule and they called that morning to be sure the time was still okay. When he arrived to work he was very pleasant, knowlegable, and efficient. He described what was needed and gave us an estimate. He then completed the job and gave us information and tips on keeping the garage door in good working condition. When we are ready to replace the garage door opener with a new one we will absolutely call Affordable Garage Door to do the work!

Great, they communicated well over the telephone and organized giving us a bid then installing a garage door opener promptly injustice they said regarding costs and time. Very pleased easily will recommend them to others.

As I recall, he was the only guy I contacted that could come out in a reasonable time. Our door was operable, so it wasn't an emergency. He came out in two days, I think, and that was OK with us. His truck wasn't super organized inside, but he had the right spring, and really knew his stuff. He was personable and professional, and even lubricated the whole door without being asked. (It squeeked horribly.)

Tom went above and beyond what was needed. He is highly knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had. I scheduled the initial appointment with Amy. I found that both the Paprocki's were very courteous and professional. I would recommend affordable garage door.

His price for a basic garage door opener with installation was excellent (I had already done much shopping), but I decided to purchase a special garage door opener that would close itself if we forgot from Lowes. His installation price was $23 higher than Lowes, but I paid it since he could install it much sooner. I also feel I more than got my money's worth since he rebalanced my door (not needed with my new super high powered opener, but nice in case I ever need to open it manually again), plus he lubed all of the moving parts on the door.
I have installed my own garage door openers in the past and this one was more complicated, hence my decision to pay an installer. The work went smoothly.

I give them the highest grades across the board. I would have them back.
