for one man to lift so he had to leave & get someone else to help him. An hour later he came back with two men & they got the
lid off. But then he had to leave again to finish up another job. Close to two hrs later I called him & he said he was on his way.
He began pumping but shortly into it he called me over and said the tank was 1,500-gal and he would have to charge me $75 more.
This was in addition to $50 extra that he said he would have to charge me to dig for the tank. I showed him the invoice from the
last septic tank cleaning that another company in the same area had done in Oct 2008 for a total of $350. He insisted his charges
were fair and consistent with other companies and that any price increases were across the board. I was told by one company that
a total estimate could be given once a tank was opened up, before any pumping began.
