We were excited at first, getting a new deck and all, but this contractor destroyed our excitment. The deck still isn't finished but work
has progressed with the new contractor. So this is Feb. 28, 2013, and the deck project was started Oct. 22, 2012, I hope you never use this contractor.
"As the customer says, we were a subcontractor for Lowe's. Our contractional relationship was only with Lowe's and the pricing, timing, permits and all other parts of the job were detemined by Lowes' contract with the customer. This contract was never made available to us as the company who was to provide the work. We were in an untenable position as the middleman on which both sides could alter the work as it was progressing, change the scope of the job, and on which to blame anything and everything. We have an excellent reputation for fine work bar none. Working for Lowe's was by far the worst experience we have ever had and I caution everyone, customers and contractors alike, to avoid placing themselves in any position related to installed sales with Lowe's. For customers, it would be better for all concerned if you hire a contractor of your choosing, make an encompassing contract directly with the contractor, and eliminate a third unrelatd party from confusing the issue. You will be happier and infinately more satisfied than working with Lowe's."
