JUSTICE HOME INSPECTIONS

We hired Justice Home Inspection on the recommendation of a friend to do a pre-sale home inspection to aid us in putting together a punch list of what would need to be done prior to putting our home on the market. We made it clear to the inspector on his arrival that we were concerned about what we couldn't see as far as what might cause us unexpected delays when we have an offer on our place and are scrambling to get things settled. The inspector came and spent several hours looking around the house. I'm having trouble with the fact that the inspector completely missed a window that is covered in shrink-wrap plastic because it leaks cold air. Also his inspection of the attic and the underside of the first floor from the basement were listed as not possible to inspect because of insulation being present. At a minimum a cursory spot inspection should be done by moving some of the insulation aside and looking at the sites beneath. All in all I felt this process lacking and now I'm concerned about what else I can't see that might have been missed. The final report was short on written detail about problems that were identified. Photographs with arrows indicating a problem area with minimal description illuminating the exact nature of the problem. I spent $450.00 to end up pretty much in the same place I started, not knowing if something is going to bite me in the tail when I go to sell my house. I do not feel I got my money's worth. I would not recommend employing Justice Property Inspections.
