A Portland, Family Owned & Operated Business Since 1965... Zakours Carpets was founded by Harvey Zakour. His passion for rugs and carpets began in 1958 when he managed the Portland Rug/Carpet Cleaning Plant for SA Khal & Co. This introduction into the "carpet world" peaked his interest and he then began learning the history of rugs and rug making. With this new found knowledge he decided to pursue his passion for rugs by offering the consumer a floor covering store that would feature not only the latest designs and styles of carpeting but one that would also offer excellent customer service. His desire to help his customers find the perfect flooring for their lifestyle and budget lead him to build an impressive following of both repeat and referral customers. Today, his dedication to that continued service and value principal is still evident in his business practices as he continues to enjoy helping homeowners find the best flooring products to fit their needs, lifestyle and budget.
