Xcelent Concrete Services

Problems encountered from the start. I requested a dark gray color and the color was not added. So a top coating of the dark color needed to be applied. Not ideal, but it seemed to be a suitable solution. However, over the winter, white flecks started appearing all over the driveway. I called Spencer in February and he finally came out in March. He told me to get ahold of him the first of May to get further treatment scheduled. It was/still is not clear what treatment he had in mind. Nor if he was covering or whether I was. Since then, I have texted him, left voicemails and he has never responded. I assume I have now been ghosted. He offers a warranty within a year so this should be covered. I realize he has wonderful reviews which is why I went with him in the first place. This is definitely a reluctant review because, above all, I just wanted the problem fixed.

Varun was one of the few contractors to actually show up and provide us with a proposal. He arrived at the scheduled time, and was courteous and professional, and offered a competitive price. Spencer and the crew started about a week ahead of schedule and once the project had already started, my wife and I decided to make a couple of additions to the original bid. Varun and Spencer were very willing to offer answers and advice for the questions we had concerning the changes we wanted. Throughout the entire project, the work was performed professionally and competently, and the crew did a great job on our driveway, sidewalk, parking pad, and patio. They even added a channel drain in the new driveway to help with drainage, so no more puddles around the driveway! I decided to take one star off of the overall rating for inconsistent communication due to slow response times to phone calls, emails and text messages that created some minor confusion concerning the schedule and when they would be onsite. Regardless of the communication issues, I recommend Xcelent Concrete and would hire them again. The new concrete is a significant improvement to our home's curb appeal and functionality as the new concrete in front looks great, and the colored and stamped patio in back is beautiful!

Once work started the crew was on time, efficient, polite and skilled. Prior to the start date I would have preferred better communication between the contractor and me. Response times to my various inquiries were sometimes slow and at one point, even after I signed the contract, I thought I might have been forgotten about. In the end, however, I have a nice new drive at a reasonable price. I've marked the quality at four stars only because I'm not an expert on concrete quality. It has only been six weeks since the pour and I have every hope that this was a quality install. There are a few small imperfections in the concrete surface that I hope are only cosmetic rather than structural. As cosmetic imperfections I am perfectly content with them (It's a driveway after all!) and perhaps they are unavoidable.

After meeting with 3 contractors we decided on Xcelent Convrete. The quote was reasonable, they started ahead of schedule and the crew was professional. We wanted to add a patio last minute and they went over and above to make it happen. I would recommend Xcelent Concrete to everyone. Go ahead, give them a call and schedule!

Spencer and team did a great job on our patio. The new patio looks great. The checked with us regularly if work was progressing to our satisfaction. Will definitely hiring them again on future projects.

We obtained 3 bids for a concrete project involving removing old concrete, fixing walkways and pouring 2 new patio slab areas in our backyard. XCELENT Concrete was competitively priced and Varun was both friendly and professional with the bidding process. We were scheduled for the project and all went as planned. We can't even believe how much they got done in a short amount of time. ALL the guys were incredibly hard workers, skillful in their craft and in the end, project clean up was fantastic. We were VERY happy with their overall work and Varun was especially good at keeping the communication going throughout the project. I would hire them again for future needs and will recommend to others. The attached photos include only 1 of the 2 areas we had done. It's the one with the most dramatic transformation.

Varun is very nice and this company charges a fair price. They did excellent work. Every text or concern I had was handled within 24 hrs. He also communicated well with the tree contractor we had hired to coordinate the work. We are happy with how the job went and would hire this company again.

Great work! Great people. Great price. They completely replaced my driveway and made it 20 feet wider. This included all removal and cleanup of the old driveway and prepping the new section. Their work was well organized and fast. Very considerate and took care of everything from start to finish. This is the second project I have used them on. The first project was a 20' by 28' workshop foundation and driveway. Excellent work and quality of work. Both times they met their estimate and the work was finished in a timely manner. I am very happy to use them for all my concrete needs. Great company.
