We had a great experience with Window Brokers.  Lou and Les completed the bid for our window replacement and helped us decide what we wanted.  Matt was our installer.  He did an excellent job.  He was fastidious with caulking and finish work.  We're very pleased with the way our windows look and how they operate. We couldn't believe how much nicer the replacement garden window looked than our original one.   We appreciated Kim's help in filling out rebate forms for Energy Trust savings which took $500 off the total cost above.  We would highly recommend this family operated company.  They were a pleasure to work with.

Our experience was wondering, and we hope to hire them again.
They were on time for the estimation, and during the estimate they walked us through all the options and helped us picking the right windows for our house.
The installed were a contractor from Window Brokers, but they did a wonderful job.  As they pulled down the window frames they also let us paint and prep the window frames before re installing them.  We had prepped the other window frames, but we couldn't reach all of them.
We couldn't have been more happy with our experience, and we hope to use them on our other properties.

They give you an opportunity to work with manufacturers that they work with.  Many of them are local, so they are knowledgeable.  They even provide rebates for the state of Oregon.  They have a preferred installer, who is Daystar, and they arrange the purchase of the windows and include the price of labor.  We've been really impressed with working with them.

I was concerned about  replacing our vintage windows with vinyl. But our old windows were problematic (window sashes had been repaired a couple times and we still couldn't open them) and the vinyl looked so much better than I anticipated. Also, even though we had storm windows, we could feel cold drafts coming through. The vinyl windows took care of that.

Ryan installed the windows - and even cut out 2 new windows on either side of the fireplace for us at a very reasonable cost. He did such an excellent job designing the new windows fit the Craftsman style of our home that we also hired him to make book cases on either side of the fireplace.

Kim, Lou and everyone at Window Brokers were wonderful to deal with - professional, friendly and reliable. All work was completed on schedule and at the price quoted.

We would happily use this wonderful company again!

The contractor provided by Window Brokers was competent - he showed up on time, completed the removal of the original entry door and replaced it with the fiberglass one I purchased. Subsequent work was required to reinforce the jamb and unstick the storm door (due to less than perfect installation). I would definitely recommend Window Brokers for windows.
Response from WINDOW BROKERS LLC
"To clarify, Window Brokers was not part of this door sale or install whatsoever. Apparently, the installer was contracted by the client entirely separate from us. We had no part in it, so actually we are a bit confused why we got graded for it. He provided the door and the install unknown to us. He is the same contractor, however, we had install the window earlier in the year that the homeowner was completely satisfied with. I checked with the installer and he informed us that he told the home owner that doors do settle and frequently have to be readjusted and he would be happy to do that if it happened. He never got a call. We are sorry that she did not call him back. He would have been promptly there to fix any issues."

They sold me the windows, but they didn't install them.  They were very professional.  Working with them was absolutely great.  The people that had installed the windows were exceptionally good.  Their workmanship was great.  I spoke several times with Lou Little of Window Brokers.  She was great.  Her daughter, who came out and did the estimate was great as well.  They first came out probably a year and a half ago.  I later had to postpone it as my wife became ill.  They were very kind about that.  About a year later I called them back.  We updated everything and they arranged for the installation of the windows.  They were glad that they gave me all the information that I needed.  There were no surprises.  Everything went perfectly well.  They were so sweet to me when they learned that my wife was dying of cancer.  They were like good friends.  They were just great.

Kim & Lu are great.  We didn't bother to get a second estimate since we've worked with them before and know that their prices are very reasonable.  They are professional and incredibly easy to work with.  Several years ago we used them to replace all of the large windows in our dining and living rooms.  Their price was significantly less than the other bids and the windows look beautiful.

I was really delighted with Window Brokers' service. I wouldn't have known where to begin in purchasing new windows, and could easily have been taken advantage of.  Lu and Kim Lytle walked me through the process and made sure I got the best possible windows in my price range.  They were with me every step of the way, making sure I understood all my options and the paperwork involved.  DayStar, the company they selected to install the windows, was also very easy to work with and did a beautiful job.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Window Brokers and will call them again when I'm ready to replace more windows!

Window Brokers was great to listen and understand what I wanted staying in a price range that I could afford and make great recommendations.  I am not the kind of person who can visualize from a piece of paper, how a finished product will look.   It is obvious they pride themselves in listening to needs, understanding and providing excellent customer service. The windows are looking beautiful!

Kim and Lu were a delight to work with; they're both extremely knowledgeable about windows. Kim provided a very thorough presentation during her initial visit, which included showing and explaining the various window products I had to choose from. Lu's attention to detail regarding the entire process was exceptional (from someone who considers herself to be very detail-oriented!). And, I can't forget Dennis Ettestad, who installs windows for Window Brokers. Dennis and his assistant Tony were wonderful: punctual, professional, extremely knowledgeable about window installation, and very nice gentlemen. Dennis and Tony did a fabulous job with our window installation. On his way out, Dennis commented that they always like leaving a home the way they would want someone to leave their home; I could tell and very much appreciated that. We will ultimately need to replace the rest of the windows in our home, and we will definitely be using Window Brokers and Dennis Ettestad for the job!

Super. Really couldn't have asked for a better process. Ordered the window, it arrived on time; the installer called promptly and we set up a time / day after he reassured me that the rain wouldn't be an issue. The entire process took about three hours, the guys cleaned up after themselves superbly, and I couldn't be happier.

Kim at Window Brokers was excellent to work with, she has a wealth of knowledge about available windows and doors. Kim helped us tap into other quality companies to put together the whole project. We purchased 3 sets of french doors, two exterior doors and 5 windows. Most of the door were fiberglass. Due to many detailed decisions we needed quite a bit of communication. Kim was always very prompt, helpful and patient. We are very pleased with end product and would use them again.

Wonderful. Kim came out and did a nice presentation, measured all the windows and doors and gave me a quote within a few days. Both her and Lu are very professional. I would deal with them again if I had to get new windows on a new place.

I had ordered double-e glass windows from them before and been happy with the appearance: they are relatively small, and most of the room's light enters from another direction. The second time, I was influenced to buy new windows in because I wanted them to open at the top to vent warm air in summer. The upper sashes of the original double-hung windows had been painted shut many times; none of many contractors (including three window specialists) had ever mentioned this to me. I didn't know the original windows were double-hung until they were removed, and their ropes and pulleys damaged, to install the new ones. I had chosen new to gained a function I had actually had all along, and lost what I need most in that room: good natural light to read, draw, and work with color samples. When I first saw the low-e windows in the truck the day of installation, the darkness of the glass did not alarm me, but once in place they dimmed the room so much I would have needed to turn on lights to read in daytime. Even the paint on the walls changed color. I told the installer to stop work, which I have never done before in five houses' worth of remodeling. I called Lu, then got out my measuring tape and calculator. Nearly 20% of the original glass area was lost to the frame-within-a-frame technique used in this type of replacement, Specs provided later indicated another 10-13% loss in transmitted light over single-pane clear glass. Then there was the greenish tint. Not a problem in a west- or south-facing room washed with light, but a big deal in my divided east window flanked by two bump-outs. Since all my sashes and casings were in good condition, after stopping work and further research, I chose a new-to-Portland repair which replaces the original single panes with sealed double-glass units in the original sashes. (Old-growth wood of older houses is much denser than modern lumber so stands up to use better, if well-maintained.) Cost:don't know yet. Lu has my two untouched custom-sized windows on their remnants list—that's just one element of their above-standard customer service. If possible will sell the two de-installed ones, if not donate them and take the 40% charitable tax deduction. So the net cost of this project is still unknown. Price above includes all four windows and installation of two by Lu Lytle's installer, Daystar. Net cost will depend on eventual disposal of the two pairs of custom-sized triple-low-e windows.

Lu was great! She knew we were running up against the weather and time and was able to expedite the installation of the new windows. She was also able to help us with information on tax credits that were available for installing the windows. I would highly recomend her and her daughter.

Great, this is a family owned business. They were all very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They even came out on Labor Day to measure the windows since I had that day off from work. I highly recommend them! I requested that the windows be installed during the week of 9/28 since I was going to be home - they worked with the installer to make that happen.
