I got a couple of estimates and this one was the best and most professional. I was supposed to get a 10% discount for using Angies list and I mentioned this to the owner via a phone call after the estimate was done. He assured me that I would get a discount and I would see it on my invoice. The work took a lot longer than exptected and since he was leaving on vacation he didn't have time to do the finish work. He asked me to pay in full before it was done and since I work with the construction industry I wanted to have insurance that the job would be done so I asked to pay by credit card. He was put out by this and had to call his accountant to get this setup even though his website says that he accepts credit cards. When I got the pay pal invoice, there was no discount. I asked about the discount again and I was told that he did a lot more work than was on the estimate (which I was not told what this extra work was) and that the amount due was the full amount. I paid via pay pal and he was charged pay pal fees. He refused to come back and finish the finsh work on the job until we paid the pay pal fees. We had mentioned the issues with the flooring before the end of the job and he said he would get back to it at the end of the job. We have marker marks on the floor still and there are a few bent boards and one board in a doorway had the top ripped off in a one inch area and that was just covered up with some patching material. There are small pieces of flooring missing in the kitchen pantry and the laundry room. I had my father supervise the job and he asked the owner to make sure it was a good job because this was a lot of money for us to spend. When asked to do as good of a job as he would in his own house, the owner said that is not the way it works. I saw other reviews on other websites after I signed the estimate and started the job with him. The other reviews were that he was not good at the finish work. This work was done a while ago and we have not heard from him since and we have not called him because we are not willing to pay his pay pal fees. We still have a not so good looking floor. I think this person would be better off having someone else do the finish work and the paperwork since that is where the service is lacking.

My review of Vista Flooring is based on the final outcome of the job. Originally, when I hired Vista to install bamboo flooring I ended up having some fairly major problems with the floor as it started to buckle. When I approached the owner about the issues he readily worked with me to come up with a plan to reinstall the floor in a timely manner. I was impressed with Christian's professionalism, courtesy, and follow-through in coming up with a statisfactory solution. I am also very impressed with the final results as the new flooring looks great.

I was kind of disappointed with him, as it looked like he was going through kind of a rough period. He had an apprentice with him who didn't do very good work. The job went alright. A couple of the details that I wanted looked at, he did but he didn't fix them up fine. There was a trapdoor which needed special attention and didn't get it. The apprentice actually had to redo about 23 of the tiles he laid down.

First off, Christian from Vista Flooring is very professional and clean cut. He came on time and prepared every MORNING. After tearing out our rug, he started first with the tile and the the hardwood. He worked a full day and when he left our house was always very tidy, no tools laying around or layers of dust. The end product is beautiful! It is like we have a new home. We are thrilled with the work he did for us and we would highly recommend him.
