I don't get home from work until after 5:30 PM. Pat was gracious enough to work with my schedule and arrived at 6:30. I so appreciate him making an evening service call. He found the problem and purchased the parts the next day. It did take 2 service calls to repair the washing machine but it was well worth it. He is a very nice and professional man. I will call him again if any appliance breaks down.

I called Pat to repair a Westinghouse range that is from the 1970s. Since I am in the process of renovating the house and not to the kitchen yet, it is not an appliance I wish to replace. And, it had been working properly. Originally a repair person from Sears Applicance Repair evaluated the range and informed me that it needed to be replaced, it was so old that he could not find the information he would need to repair it, and it was a fire hazard anyway, because it it not have a range hood. Pat arrived to tell me exactly what was wrong with the range, ordered the part and had it repaired the next day. We also discussed the issue of it being a fire hazard and he assured me that the clearances around the range were appropriate, in fact, beyond code, and that there were no issues. It was a relief to work with someone who does not have a and quot;throw away and replace with something new.and quot; This is the second time Pat has worked on an appliance for me when another repair person has been unable to discover the problem. He is a gem who has been around long enough to really know appliances.

Not only were we not satisfied with his work, but during his visits, he
belittled the person who has installed the waterline to our ice maker
as doing a ridiculously poor job. He told the person who was here
during the service call this and then found it necessary to tell the
next person who visited our home. He then told my husband the same
thing when he got home. We feel that this was unprofessional.
My husband decided that before we hired another and quot;professionaland quot;, he would
try to fix the problem himself. He spent fifteen minutes online and
determined that he needed to replace the thermostat. He installed the
thermostat and the refrigerator is still working a year later. My husband, by the way, is the one who installed the waterline. It is working flawlessly.

We have used Pat before and he is fantastic. Worked us into his schedule graciously, came on time, got the dishwasher working.

Pat was wonderful--he made time for me in his already full schedule because it was an emergency. He quickly found the problem and did not need to use a part he purchased with his own money. Who does that these days!? Don't hesitate to use him!

Pat fixed a broken washing machine quickly, the price was reasonable and he was very professional. We would definitely work with him again if needed in the future.

I realized friday night that my freezer was not just defrosting, the whole refrigerator had quit working. I called Pat Berry Saturday morning and gave him my refrigerator model number. He said he would be able to come out mid afternoon. He called later and was able to come an hour earlier than expected. He had the part on him and he was able to complete the job in 45 minutes. He did a great job and he is a very nice person. I would definitely use him again.

Called on Wednesday morning, he came Thursday morning (I needed Wednesday evening to clean out the freezer.) Examined, did not have correct switch size, so he put in a smaller switch and came back the following day to install the correct size. Showed me what needed to be cleaned regularly, and how to do it. We got into a discussion of appliance brands and he gave me advice on whether or not I should replace my washer and dryer (he said no on the washer because I wouldn't save money with a high efficiency washer, given my current usage.)
He was professional, efficient, and as a bonus, funny. I would hire him again and would recommend him without reservation

Veterans Appliance Service made trip to determine what part needed replacing, found after-market part (manufacturer no longer carried the part), installed part which was complicated because after-market thermostat did not have all connecting screws...requiring on-site fabrication of connector parts, which was successfully done, the replacement part was installed, it now works fine, saved us buying an new oven. Very friendly, good communicator, honest, highly recommend.

I highly recommend this company and Pat. I contacted Pat because my refrigerator temperature was too high. I spoke with Pat in the morning and he was able to come over that same day. He was 30 minutes late, but called to let me know he was running late, which I appreciated. He could not find a part that was broken after a thorough check of the refrigerator and said that he would research a couple of issues. The coils were dirty, which he cleaned with a vacuum, but he thought someone may have installed a part incorrectly previously. He called back the next day with an answer based on his research online, as promised. What I was perhaps most impressed with is that I asked Pat whether I should simply replace the condenser fan as a precaution and he said it was not necessary. Based upon my experience, Pat is honest and takes pride in his work. I will call him again in the future if any appliances in my home are not working.

Pat was GREAT: responsive, knowledgeable, and timely. I called him in the morning because my washer wasn't spinning. He called back shortly thereafter and came by the same afternoon. Not only did he figure out what was wrong, but he had the appropriate parts with him and fixed it on the spot. He also was responsive to questions I had about my W/D and other household appliances. Finding him was a stroke of luck and I'd recommend him highly!

Pat did an excellent job. He came out to give me an estimate and to determine what was wrong. He ordered the part and was back the next day to replace the broken part. He also took the time to show me how to prevent other problems and how to clean around the vent areas each year to extend the life of the appliance. Thank you Pat.

When I first called Pat was responsive and seemed knowledgeable about what our problem seemed to be. He was able to come the next day to look at our washing machine. That first time he seemed a bit cranky, in particular about how our washer and dryer were set up. By the end of the visit and on subsequent visits he was friendlier and personable. After looking at our machine he thought it was a problem with the transmission and he ordered a new one and scheduled a return visit for several days later. The new transmission did not fix the problem so he scheduled another visit and said he'd return with a used motor which was the problem. On the next visit, the motor turned out not to be a problem and it was instead a gear, so he replaced that. I'm not knowledgeable enough about washers to know if it should have been more clear what the problem was, but it seemed it should have been more straightforward than this. He did not charge us for the labor or parts for the attempts which turned out to be unsuccessful. The overall cost ended up being less than we'd expected because the gear was cheaper than the transmission or motor would have been. However, the repair ended up taking several visits which was kind of a hassle, especially since we had to remove doors and move the machines around to give him the access he needed. Since we were having the washer fixed we also had a few small things "tuned up" on our dryer since it had been squeaking. Those repairs went smoothly. Both machines are now running well and we are happy with the results.

Pat was great on the phone, very patient and willing to explain what could possibly be wrong with our stand-alone freezer. He quoted potential costs ($35 service call, various parts and labor though he couldn't predict the exact problem he gave me a probable worst-case scenario so I knew what to expect). He made an appointment for two days ahead (not an emergency situation) and called my husband in before he arrived, as he promised. It ended up that something in the freezer was slightly holding the door open and we didn't know it, so all he charged us was the $35. My husband thought he was just great to work with. I would call him again for any appliance repair.

Pat arrived on time, I was able to give details of what was happening with my oven. He diagnoised the problem in less than 20 minutes. There was a short in the switch for my oven light. As he needed parts, we scheduled a mutually agreeable time for him to return to finish the work. Pat was able to bypass the switch which allowed me the use of the oven light. Pat arrived installed the new parts (one he had to custom make) and I was back in business fully functional.

We called on a Thursday or Friday and were scheduled for the following Monday 8:00 AM. Pat arrived on time, repaired our stove, and even fixed the base plate on the front of our dishwasher. Very good service.

Pat followed up perfectly, called when he said he would, arrived on time, finished the repair with the original estimate. He was friendly and honest and knew what he was doing.
