Extremely well. Our agent Wren helped us quickly find a great house, and walked us through the whole purchase process. (We were first time home buyers.) She was very responsive, communicated well, and advocated strongly for our interests. She was obviously more concerned with ensuring we ended up with a home we loved for a fair price and making the purchase go smoothly than with simply making a sale. We will definitely be using Urban Nest Reality the next time we need to conduct a real estate transaction.

I moved to Portland from the East Coast so I really needed a realtor who knew the area. She did. This is the only positive to our interaction. Fortunately I have family here who took some of the neighborhoods off the list as they felt they were not altogether safe. Before I moved out I emailed her to see if she had any suggetions for a short term rental. She did not respond. I should have dumped her then. When I got here I did some open houses as I didn't want to waste her time before I was prequalified. When I was prequalified I let her know. She met me at a home I thought I might be interested in but I changed my mind. In total we did 2 sets of home tours. The remainder I did with family. I found a home online that I was very interested in and contacted her to see if we could get in to see it. She said she had seen the house pop up and thought of me. hmmmmm might have been nice if she shot me an email. I could have easily missed it. Thought that was what she was getting paid for. We could not get into see it prior to the open house so we went then. She guided me through the offer process and suggested I offer $30,000 over asking price. The market is tough here and this may have been good advice. I will never know. She was responsive when she needed something done that would impact her commision. When it did not she was difficult to reach. I work at home and needed information regarding comcast outlets. It took 8 times and several weeks to get the information from her (did not impact her commision) At her suggestion I allowed the sellers to stay in the home rent free for 2 weeks after settlement. She was to get the keys to me on the 14th day. She also agrred to meet her suggested electrician at the home the next morning to let him in. We discussed several times that I had to work and would be unable to be there. It's a 5 minute drive so should not have been a hardship. On the day I was to get the keys I emailed her in the morning to see where we were to meet. She did not respond. That evening I tried her cell phone. She did not respond. I frantically tried to reach the sellers realtor who answered on the second ring and agreed to meet the electrician in the morning. Electrician agree to hold the key for me. I did not hear back from Holly until the next day. She said she called me, a blatant lie. She never emailed me which is how we communicated 90 percent of the time. Am not sure how a realtor can forget about a client who is earning them over $10,000 for about 20 hours of work. I met several realtors at open houses who said they'd love to work with me. My gut told me to switch but I felt a sense of commitment to Holly. Her office is next door to my sisters home. Very foolish on my part. The realtor who is selling my home on the East Coast refers to me as her AAA seller in that I communicate immediately with her. For Holly I was a very easy customer, took up very little of her time and did most of the research myself. Shame on her for treating me this way. Buying a home is a big deal. There's something horribly wrong with a realtor who forgets to get your keys to you.
Description of Work: Holly Burton Realtor, did the bare minimum.

We wanted to move to the east side of Portland, but were in no rush. Rachel took the time to meet with me over coffee and provide me with information about our options. She also happened to send us a link to our dream home within 24 hours. We decided to go for it and Rachel was expert in helping us navigate the tricky territory of buying and selling a home at the same time. Her instincts are right-on, her negotiating skills top-notch, her intuitive understanding of the process gave us complete confidence through a potentially nerve-wracking time. Beyond this, though, Rachel's people-skills are second to none. She truly understands the the nature of 'home' and 'community' and is the absolute best person to help others find their special place.
Description of Work: If there was an A+ option, I would use it. Rachel Freed is an exceptional real estate agent. She found the home of our dreams and helped us sell our old house.

Rachel was amazing and a complete pleasure to do business with! You will not find a more honest and attentive agent. She explained everything to us and we always felt we were in the loop. We first contacted Rachel to buy our first house. We needed to move out of our rental within 30 days. We found the perfect house in 3 days and were moved in 2 days early! When it came time to sell our house she gave us a plan to get our house ready (paint, furniture placement, etc...she could be a interior designer). We had 8 offers in within the first 2 days and we got WAY over asking! She dealt with a totally insane seller when we bought our current home which was, to say the least, a tricky transaction. Rachel handled everything in stride and was always positive when we were totally losing it. As we had work done on our new home if had any problems with a contractor Rachel would call them! Seriously, months later! She really cares about here clients, even after the papers are signed!
Description of Work: Rachel helped with all three of our real estate transactions. We're so happy we found her!
