I heard about them through a personal friend. They do good work. I have been using them for maybe five years. It is easy to get an appointment to get in when I need a service. They kept me informed. They gave me a ride to and from my home. Things like that so it is convenient. It is not too far away from here, but I am a little ways away from downtown. They did a good work and I would definitely go back to them. The last work was an expensive work. It cost me a lot more than I originally intended and I have been quoted about $450 or $500 to fix a check engine light thing. They were able to clean it and so far it behaved itself. On the other hand I got to put the radiator and thing in. With a car that got a hundred thousand miles on it, things are going to start to go wrong. Things are going to start to wear-out, but it was a lot more money than what I had planned on spending, but I now have peace of mind and I could go distance without having problems. I had a Jeep Cherokee years ago that I put three or four water pumps in during the length of time that I owned it for a hundred-twenty miles. I had one of them go out up in San Juan island. I got out of the ferry on Friday harbor. I parked it as I was going into luncheon. As I was walking by the car, I looked down and hear this cooing coming out from underneath my engine. I was up in the San Juan Island with a broken water pump. I put water on it and limped across the Port Angeles, Washington and that Jeep dealership had me spend 500 bucks for a water pump. I plan on keeping this van. It is a ’98 Chevy van that I bought new and it has a little over a hundred-twenty miles on it. I owned it for a very long time like seventeen years. I cannot afford to get rid of it, but Tyler’s good. They contacted me and let me know what the problem was. They did their very best to diagnose the others. I think they do a thorough job and I am a Tigard person and I appreciate working with locals. I  try keep my work local. Their price might be a little high. They got right on it. They got me in right away. They kept the car overnight, but that is understandable.

They are close, have reasonable prices and are pretty professional. I leave my car; they take care of it, they figure out what’s wrong and get back to me. They are pretty quick. I don’t know much about price comparison.

My son owns a Jeep and needed the wiper motor fixed. We were given a quote of $125 to repair the windshield wiper motor. Tylers Automotive called after the Jeep was brought in for the repair and said the cost was going to be $350 because they had to remove the hard top shell to get to the wiper motor. I asked if they had done any work and the mechanic said no as he would be the one to do the work. We declined the work because the price was too high and the top could be removed by me and my son in about 30 minutes. We rescheduled the appointment for the next day after my son and I had removed the Jeep top. When my son came to pick it up after work the said that they had completed the all the work and that he owed $350. After vigorously contesting the charges, Tyler Automotive reduce the fee by $100.
I felt this was a bait and switch and that we were ripped off. I would never recommend this fly by night garage.

I took the vehicle in and they were very professional in how they handled everything. We recently moved so we were worried about finding a place to take our vehicle, but have been very happy with Tyler's Automotive.

The technician at Tyler's could not find a leak and we were not charged. About 6 months ago they told me when I brought my car in for an oil change that I needed to change my tube steering; when I brought it in to be changed they said it was an error because they did not find anything wrong with the part; I was very impressed with their honesty. I also love that not every time I bring my car in for an oil change do I get a call back about other things that need to be fixed; especially since I stay on schedule on maintenance's using my car booklet.

They are honest and professional, I nice find in this field. I was greeted warmly, given a ride back to work (and they were very gracious even though it was further than either of us thought); analyzed and corrected the unusual mechanical issue with my truck; kept me fully informed and engaged throughout the process; when I asked about other things that may need fixed they checked and told me that they weren't necessary (they could have easily made another $800 off me if they weren't an ethical company); then as a bonus the final cost was noticeably lower than the estimate. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends (they were recommended to me from a friend that had a similar experience, her words and quot;they aren't cheap but they make up for it by completely correcting the issue and not fixing things that don't need fixand quot;.

Most of the front desk staff is excellent. David not pleasent or helpful.
After years of having my vehicle being serviced at Tylers, I have moved on to a different shop.
The owners are very nice and strive to provide excellent service, BUT the skills of the mechanics are
very inconsistent. We have received our vehicle damaged, dirty and in disrepair on different incidences.
Whenever we brought this to the owners attention, they were very responsive.
BUT it has occured so consistently, that we have to be concerned with our safety.
For the money we spent there, we should never have had to worry about the quality of work. Our vehicle should have always been returned in better working condition and cosmetically the same as when it was dropped off.

They were very courtious and drove me to my work. They detailed out all work and costs for the problems they found. They did a good job on the work they did do. The only thing I didn't like was that I told them my budget was $500 to perform the work I brough the car in for. They pressured me to do more when they found other problems and I didn't like that since I was quite upfront with how much I had to spend. They also pressured me about setting another appointment.

It was great! I called in the afternoon to see about going into get an oil change and they could have had me come in that afternoon! But I needed to work around my schedule, so I took it in around 10 AM the next morning and it was ready when it was supposed to be. They called me and said it came in right as I had planned. Great service, clean shop and is very convenient!

I totally trust everything they do. I never have to wait. They have someone there to take you home. It's really an easy process. They explain everything to me in a way that is easy for anyone to understand.

They have been good, they are always very prompt, they provide transportation to and from the location, there prices are reasonable. The prices vary per job.

My experience has been an A. Cost-wise I would say they were a B. They have been clean and tidy. They are safe with their working environment. They demonstrate concern for the customer. The owner, the manager and counter people all show that they care.

I took the morning off from work to drive the car down with my husband.(wasn't told about free shuttle service from Tyler's). We were told should have back same day so we arrived shortly after they opened. It took almost 3 days before it was done and then they found the clutch needed to be replaced and coolant drained. Their quotes were high and we told them we would get back to them about those 2 items. They immediately starting naming competitors who we hadn't even mentioned and started bad mouthing them. One they mentioned was we ended up taking the car too and not only saved $500 on the clutch from what Tyler's had quoted but were extremely happy with the work they did. I was shocked they would bad mouth their competition even going as far as mentioning business names. They do however give you a chocolate bar which ends up being very expensive chocolate!

My initial contact with Tyler's Automotive was professional and informative. Dan was upfront about the amount of work involved on a 120,000 mile service and bid the job high (original bid was $1500+). I felt confident in my decision to have the work performed at Tyler's. They were timely in scheduling the service, but the expected one day service turned into a three day job. Two weeks later, I was back at the shop. The car developed a 'road noise', slow to accelerate and on this particular day it was giving off a 'hot' smell. A second appointment was scheduled, they were unable to duplicate the hot smell and other than me being hyper-sensitive to the noise, suspected that the front wheel bearings were going out. A third trip to the shop allowed for a mechanic to ride along where he agreed that the car was idling rough and verified that the right wheel bearings needed to be replaced. I was given a $285 bid and left with a car that is under performing on all accounts : (

Everyone at Tyler's is great, even my wife feels like she gets treated with respect when she takes our car in for service. They do a very good job and do not recommend service that is not needed. We really like their free shuttle service too.

They have fair prices and excellent work. They are timely and have excellent customer service.

They are very polite and professional. I go to them anytime I need something done. They take you home and pick you up.
