Very satisfied with punctuality, quality, and professionalism.  Tom Burke came on site to discuss job details and gave me a written estimate, just a day after first calling them.  The estimate was very reasonable.  The next day, the 3 man crew came out to do the work: 2 hrs + 1 hr cleanup  (very neat).  The communication of job details to crew was very smooth,  and they were conscientious to understand exactly what i wanted: they handled job details very well.   This was a very good contractor experience, and I would heartily recommend them to others.

The owner, Tom Burke, is great to work with. He is flexible, within reason, with timing issues. I had to hurry to get one tree trimmed back from the roof, and wait for city permits and inspections on the other tree, and he accommodated my needs. His men are great workers too. They are very efficient workers, clean up after the job is done, and are polite and friendly. Overall, I am extremely happy with this company and will be calling them again for work on my other trees.

The two brothers team were on time within the two hour window they gave me.
Tom was the leader of this team and had seen what was to be done when he visited me to do the estimate.
When they arrived they already had a plan on how to do the work so they started as soon as they got out of there truck.
The whole job was done faster that anyone else I have used over the past few years and the follow up cleanup was
done as the job progressed so they were finished within a two hour window.
I highly recommend Tree Masters for anyone that expects quality work, a fair price and great service.

I contacted him (Tom Burke of Tree Masters) because I erroneously thought he was Tom Bartels of Master Tree Care, who I  intended to hire.
My husband didn't recognize it was the wrong person and gave the green light to the wrong Tom (Tom Burke), who is not an arborist. (Tom Bartels is an arborist and does excellent work, by the way.) I was not pleased with the shape of the tree after he was finished (too many large branches were removed) and there was still a lot of little dead wood left in the tree, which became a problem two years later. I had to hire the correct Tom this fall  to have it removed properly.
I will say that this Tom (Burke) was punctual and professional. His price was very low. One of the larger branches chipped the corner of a brick grill structure as it fell to the ground, which he did pay to repair.
If I were just to have work done around the yard, I would hire him but I will never ask him to work on my trees again. I'm mad at myself for choosing the wrong contractor.  I wish their names weren't so similar. But now I know!

When I called for a bid, Tree Masters was able to come out in less than a week.  The representative I met with was clear, personable, and suggested cost cutting ideas for me.  We broke the desired work up into two portions:  the "needs to be done right now" and the "Let's do that in March" portion.  During this phase, they cut three limbs from a very large coniferous tree (I am a bit ashamed to admit I don't know exactly what kind of tree it is).  These branches were large, and creaking excessively.....one was right above my roof and the other two were close enough to the busy road by my house, that I worried they would fall onto the roadway in a heavy windstorm or snowfall. I would say that these branches were 30 to 40 feet high.  I also have hedges that abut the heavy road and laurels that were growing into my neighbors driveway.  They cleaned all of these up.  They were right on time, pleasant, efficient, hard workers and cleaned up after themselves.  Bonus:  they cut the large branches up into firewood for me.
This was one of the more pleasant contractor experiences I have had and am looking forward to working with them in the sping.

Tree Masters was right on time with several workers. The owner Tom was present at the beginning, left for a while then returned toward the end of the project to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. I was very specific about the finished work not looking like a "chunk" was removed from the trees. They did a fabulous job with the trees.
I did not like the way that they treated the bushes and plants that surrounded the larger trees which they were working on. They stepped on, crushed and even tore out several plants in the process of removing the larger branches. I understand that it can be tricky removing larger items, but it seemed to me that they could have been more careful, or at the very least explained to me that the surrounding plants might get damaged.

I wish I could rate this company as an "A" quality outfit. Unfortunately they are not. The "B" rating, I feel, is generous considering the quality of their work overall. I needed two old diseased trees (Tree of Heaven) cut down. One was very near my house. They each had trunks of approximately 3' diameter. I got estimates from the top four rated companies on Angie's list. I chose Tree Masters solely based on price since the quality of work should have been comparable with the others. David left a message on my phone Sunday night saying his crew would be out on Monday morning. He did not ask if that would be acceptable to me, he just assumed. Early Monday morning he left another message saying his crew was there and where was I? We had gotten home very late on Sunday night and I did not check my messages until Monday morning. I called him back. I was very upset that he would just assume he could come at his convenience without my approval. We agreed the crew could come the next day. Four men showed up and (to their credit) got both trees down without doing any damage to the house. They did, however, take some risky chances with some of the larger branches, some so large that they dug holes in the ground they were fallen onto. The crew was to leave the wood in fireplace sizes, stacked, and stumps cut to ground level. They left a mess, did not cut the stumps to ground level, and left  pieces of the trunks in place that were so large and  heavy that all four of the men couldn't move them. I called David, he came out and surveyed the mess. Though he didn't say anything, he must have agreed with me because he had the crew come back out and complete the job closer to my satisfaction. It is my view that this company acted in a very unprofessional way. I do not consider them an "A" quality company.

From start to finish, Tom Burke of Tree Master's, Inc, and company, were punctual in communication and service.  Very friendly and personable.  Hired to prune / cut back my very overgrown Lilacs.  A job well done, very clean angled cuts. Lilacs will be much healthier with Tom's care.  Cleaned up around the Lilacs, trimmed all suckers, raked surrounding area, and hauled away all debris... my Lilac bed is much tidier now. I am very pleased with the work done, the price, the professionalism, and the friendly customer service.  Tom takes pride in his work and cares about his customers, which is why I am so happy to have found Tree Master's, Inc. Will recommend and will hire again.

Arrived on time, worked all day, were courteous, friendly. Did nt complain when I had them redo a laurel making it shorter. Cleanup was satisfactory. Neighbors liked final results. Me too. Price was about 25 percent better than other bids.

We were very happy with the work provided by Tom Burke. His estimate was the lowest, he did an excellent job, he left no mess behind, and he did exactly what we had asked of him and he had promised to do. He worked quickly but carefully, and his trimming work was aesthetic. He advised us on the permitting process for removing a tree, and was able to fit us into his schedule as soon as our permit was ready. He is a very nice person and a pleasure to work with.

Tree Masters proprietor Tom came out and went over each tree branch by branch, writing down exactly which ones needed to be removed. He pointed out where branches were too close to the chimney or power lines. He then gave us an immediate estimate, but he did not discuss getting the necessary permit at that time, which would have been helpful. When we asked, he gave us the city arborist's name and number, however it turned out you have to call the office and go through the secretary. Anyway, given the Tree Masters name, the arborist gave us a permit within a day or two. Tom showed up with a crew promptly on the scheduled day and assigned the work, then left. The crew was fast and efficient, although we did have to point out one branch that was initially overlooked. The crew cleaned up everything and asked us to review the work before they left. We are now getting sunshine onto our lawn and parking strip, and hope to have a somewhat easier time shifting leaves this fall. Tree Masters gave us the lowest estimate and we feel we got very good value for our money.

The crew was on time. Tom came also and gave detailed instructions. They started work right away and except for a lunch break worked for hours. Not only were they responsive to my requests they also made suggestions. As the trees were very big shaping them was a group effort. After doing the work they cleaned up. The clean up was above and beyond as my yard is pretty messy. The only problem was getting a city permit which took two and a half weeks.

Called for an estimate, received a confirmation call that evening, and Tom came out within a couple days for an estimate.. He was extremely cordial and professional. His crew came out only two days later and did a great job, even thru thunder and lightening! I also appreciated that they seemed to have a good time while working (but perhaps they were making fun of my overrun backyard :) Left it neat and clean. Will definitely be using them again.

Did an excellent job, came out on weekend to give estimate, had crew here within same week and they did job very well and cleaned up so neatly you couldn't tell they'd been here, except for huge amount of firewood perfectly stacked. Would definitely hire again.
