"Hello [Removed Member name]. Thank you for taking the time to review our practice. We appreciate all of the kind words and to hear that our preventive care plans are working for you. We also apprecaite the feedback on our support staff. It is our priority to provide compassionate care from the first phone call to the exam and follow-up."
After 3 hours the Vet Tech called saying that our cat was extremely dehydrated and wanted authorization to administer fluids, which we approved. We were told the doctor would call us back with the exam results. (We did approve a $118 blood test)
We were expecting a bill around $200 and I was surprised when the charges came to $301.00 ! One of the charges were $14 for and quot;day boardingand quot; When I questioned the charge I was told that this was in lieu of and and quot;emergency chargeand quot;. Apparently $287 was not enough for the visit and it was one more way to and quot;ca-chingand quot; us for more money.
It seems like the attitude of the front office staff has changed over the past 4-5 years and being a loyal customer doesn't matter any more. The focus seems to be on how they can increase the charges. We realize and expect prices to increase over 20 years, but it seems that the prices at Town and Country have exceeded the rate of inflation. I personally have been uninsured for the past 3 years and my doctor visits are less expensive than what we have to pay for for the cat.
"Thank you for letting us know that you were happy with the services that we provided. We strive to always improve upon each visit."
