We just had double paned glass installed on the existing wood frames and needed them painted. The windows go 15 feet high and overlook a steep hill....so fear of heights and poor hand- brush control meant a professional was needed. Herman was recommended by our window installers. He had 2 helpers and finished in 3 days. Used Benjamin Moore paint (A+) and was very punctual and efficient. Like the other reviewer said, Herman is the best painter in all the land. An experience with another contractors painter has only reinforced this...not everyone can paint!!! Herman is the best!

After coming home to a broken faucet that had been running full-bore for about seven hours, I needed multiple contractors who could repair the damage in a hurry. I received Herman's contact information from another painter who was recommended by a co-worker, but didn't have the capacity in his schedule to help. Herman came over to give me an estimate, and I pretty much knew right away that he was someone I would enjoy working with, even in the midst of chaos. He was thorough on his walk through, took a number of photos, and provided me with an estimate the following day. He was available to start right away, which was very important to me, given that this was not a planned project.
Herman started in the rooms not requiring drywall repair, in order to move the project forward, and continued through to follow the drywall installers. He works with a talented color-consultant, who will overwhelm you (in a good way) with the number of choices for paint color. Sarah helped me find just the right colors - the ones I couldn't find on multiple trips to Home Depot.
Herman’s attention to detail is phenomenal. He even removes picture hangers to paint and then REPLACES them for you so that you don't have to re-create holes or re-find the spot where you had that painting. He also was very accommodating and appreciative of the fact that I was anxious to get all the work completed as quickly as possible. And, not only did he work late, but he also worked weekends, including two Sundays, to help move the process along. He removed (and replaced) switchplate and outlet covers, primed and provided multiple coats where needed, and did SO much better than I would have done that I can’t imagine doing my own painting ever again. I am planning to get him to give me estimates for the rooms that didn’t require painting after the flood, and will hire him to do the exterior of my house next year.
Herman does BEAUTIFUL work, provides phenomenal service, was prompt, courteous, and really a lot of fun to talk to and work with. I hereby declare him “The Finest Painter in All the Land”. Hire him. You won’t regret it.
