SORIN GHIEA TILE & STONE LLC

I was referred to Sorin by a friend who had been impressed with Sorin's professionalism and skills. Sorin replied to all my communications quickly. Provided helpful guidance and recommendations. He talked me out of one of my initial tile plans that would made him more money on the project, but he felt that getting someone else to do a non-tile alternative would be more practical (and he was correct.) He got the project going very quickly and offered to work on a weekend. The results were excellent.

Sorin was enthusiastically recommended by a friend of mine who has used Sorin in the past for tile projects. He always responded quickly to calls/emails and stayed in close contact throughout the process. Got estimate set up within and couple days and provided helpful recommendations about materials and colors. He suggested not using slate/tile in one section of the project as he felt an alternative material would be better, even though this meant he would make less money on project. Sorin got the project started and completed shockingly quickly and even came out to work on a weekend. Slate and tile came out great!

Sorin was very prompt in responding, he can and looked at the job and gave us confidence he could do the job. He was available when we needed him, came on time, worked clean and professionally. He helped us problem solve when we had purchased the wrong heating mat. The end result was outstanding. The room looks like it was always that way. This is the second time we've used Sorin for a tile project. He redid our bathroom floor, removing the old linoleum and replacing with tile. While the quality of work done was excellent, what always impresses me about Sorin is his professionalism. We had originally considered doing a tile backsplash as well, but Sorin suggested doing a marble backsplash to match the countertops we were putting in. He could have made more money doing the backsplash I was considering, but gave his honest opinion on what would work the best for our setup... and it looks fantastic. He was always very prompt in returning calls, and was able to fit us in with our schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again!

Sorin always returned our phone calls promptly. He did a fantastic job and he was extremely professional. We will be calling him again when we are ready to remodel our bathroom.

Everything went very well. Spring is artistic, nice, and hardworking. He and his employee arrived on time, worked fast, very neat, and finished the job in a number of hrs, probably six hrs, over 3 days. They cleaned up after each day. Highly recommended.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sorin, or use him again for another project.  He was easy to get in touch with, showed up when he said he would, and did fabulous work for a great price. 
For the initial estimate, he was able to come out a few days after I called (on a weekend), and measure and give me a quote.  The price he quoted me was very competitive with what others were quoting.  Even though it was a busy time of year for him, he was able to fit our project in during the timeline I requested (a few weeks out). 
After our tile demolition was done, I called Sorin in a bit of a panic, as the folks that did the demolition basically butchered our walls, and the drywall needed to be completely replaced (not just patched).  The tile we were using was extremely thin, so everything had to be completely smooth.  Sorin and Ron did a great job of replacing the drywall, making intricate cuts using delicate tile, and basically making everything look perfect.  Nice guys and super professional as well.  I am so happy with the work they did... I feel like I have my "go-to" guy for tilework now!

Sorin was great to work with -prompt, professional, and has great tile ideas.  He was able to incorporate some existing tile I had left over from a kitchen remodel and use them in the fireplace design. I have to admit, his suggestions turned out way better than the design ideas I had, and am so happy I went with his suggestions!  His prices are reasonable and consistent with other bids, but I went with Sorin because he showed up right on time for an estimate appointment and followed up with with a phone call within 2 weeks, and this is where other tile contractors failed. HIs customer service was excellent.  I would highly recommend him, and will use his company in future projects. Thanks, Sorin!

It was excellent. He was fast, courteous, prompt, and a very good craftsman. He did a very good job, he was timely, and he showed up when he said he would.

He had a little bit of a different approach and he did an outstanding job. He was timely and came to estimate the work about two or three times. It was pretty economical.

Sorin did an excellent job for a very affordable price. We received several quotes and Sorin's price beat them by a lot. Sorin showed up on time and performed the work exactly as described, in the timeframe he described. The quality of his tile work is great. He also communicated well with me during the project when he needed my guidance. I could not be happier with the service and the outcome.

From start to finish Sorin explained the process, helped design the layout and went above and beyond to match individual pieces of tile for a beautiful pattern. He was punctual, friendly and professional.

Sorin is a pleasure to work with - he is prompt, a good communicator and had insightful suggestions for hot to make things look good and keep the cost down. Even the demolition was neatly done and he left the work site clean every day. The price was appropriate - not cheap, but very reasonable for the quality of work. I already have plans to have him come in and do two other jobs.

Sorin does very nice work!  He installed new 4" x 4" tiles we purchased, plus new mosaic back splash.  The work was performed in a timely fashion and he was able to meet our tight schedule.  We are very happy with the installation and will surely call him again for future work!

, Aside from being timely, professional, doing an attractive job, doing the job for what seemed a reasonable price, he was thoughtful of me and my time....AND he was thoughtful of my tenant's time, managing the job so that she would be missing her shower for the shortest possible period.
His biding on the job was understated, but included epoxy grout, waterproof backer board, and a few other things important to me, instead of making his bid look low by adding things on in "options".  Other bidders gave lower estimates, but it was hard to get a "real" estimate elsewhere.  Other bidders also seemed okay, but I was impressed with Soren's clarity.
Soren directed me to his tile supplier, where I chose tile, but Soren handled pickup, amount decisions, and payment.  His tile supplier let me take samples back to discuss with my tenant.
I was not present for any of the actual work, but my tenant was pleased with his tidiness and his timeliness. I like my tenant and was very happy Soren was respectful of her.
I was also pleased with the final result. 

Originally I only planned to replace the shower pan but after Sorin removed the old pan he discovered the damage had gone too far and he recommended I replace the entire shower (walls and floor pan).  He did not push me into  using him and suggested a fiberglass insert might be cheaper. I found it won't be cheaper and opted to have him retile it. The job he did is beautiful. He made good suggestions for tile shelves and was very tidy about keeping the mess cleaned up each day. I recommend his service highly.

Sorin and his workmate arrived on time and began protecting our carpet, floors and counters with coverings.  They were professional and worked steadily throughout the entire job.  They cleaned up at the end of each day and when the job was completed.  Sorin was courteous and explained the work as he went along.  I changed one placement of tile in our design at the last minute and he was very gracious about making the change.  We were impressed with the excellent working relationship he and his workmate had - they demonstrated that they knew what to do and went about the job in a professional manner.  Very likeable young man.

He returned our calls.  He explained step by step what he was going to do.  He told us how much tile to buy, and we bought it at Home Depot.  There were 3 different tiles in the design that we designed ourselves.  It looks fantastic.  We are very please with his work.  He's pretty busy, but worth waiting for.  We had to wait about 1 week.  I busy tile guy is a good thing.  That means they are probably in demand.

We have used Sorin twice, once in our previous home to remove an existing marble tile face and hearth and replace with new tumbled marble. He did an excellent job, and consulted me on layout choices. The previous hearth was slightly elevated from the oak floors and looked "home made". When he relayed the hearth it was at the same level as the floors and looked very professional. He was timely, kept the surrounding  area clean and protected and is very personable to work with.

Our second project was at our 1973 condo. He installed a tile mosaic backsplace with a wall mount faucet.It looks wonderful-tile layout and grout is absolutely perfect. He also did a backsplash using a combination of glass/stone from Home Depot. He used the right blade to cut the glass so that it did not chip or shatter, then ground or filed the sharp edges so they were smooth to the touch. A great result with a low cost product.
