They seemed to know what they were doing. They took care of the issues within a day. 

They were not cheap but we needed the work. We had a problem with the door and they were responsive to this issue and fixed it, within a day. when we let them know.

I was skeptical when told that they would be complete the job in just 2 days. When I came home the first day, there were 3 men working on the very small bathroom and then the electrician returned with new electrical breakers. He was replacing a single breaker with a dual one, because a previous owner had one breaker with two wires. As this was not "up to code", he was fixing that at no additional charge. Within a couple of hours they had finished for the day and all that was left to do was painting. The next day the bathroom was painted. I noticed a few paint drips and a loose floor molding. They returned and cleaned up the paint drips and replaced the molding with a nicer one, also at no additional charge. Overall, I am very happy with the work they have done.

It went really well. Darryl is very professional and manages things very well. The work done was excellent. Darryl is very considerate and hard working as are his crew. He sticks to his estimate unless something unforseen comes up like the dryrot. Everything went smoothly with his subs, they showed up on time and had everything done very quickly. I have used Solas before and won't hesitate to use them in the future.

They were on time, they stuck to the bid, they kept everything nice and clean, and they did awesome work all around. I would also like to mention that they are super nice guys as well.

It went excellent. Excellent work with floors and tiling. Quick to resolve any issues that arose.

Darryl did a wonderful job. He was very thorough and painstaking with the project. It came together beautifully and we are very happy with the work. Our hallway is much more open feeling with the new raised ceiling. I would highly recommend this company.

An excellent job was done! Interaction was very courteous and they seem experienced and well informed. The estimate was nearly exact, and even extra details were attended to. They stayed right on schedule during the 3-4 day job.

SOLAS LLC did an OK job in most respects. That's not a glowing recommendation, but it's as accurate as I can be. The best thing about their work was their punctuality (we had made it clear that we were looking for someone to take on this job by a certain date, and they were able to do so). The worst thing was their neglect of details (notably, the half of our deck that was rebuilt turned out to be 8% SMALLER than the original half, AND SMALLER THAN THE AREA STIPULATED IN THE CONTRACT; we did receive a discount after the fact reflecting this discrepancy). Generally speaking, SOLAS took little care with details -- such as the quality of the new deck boards (some were cracked, gouged, or already had knotholes at the time of installation) or the length of nails that were needed for a specific purpose (we had to point out that the new gate had nail-points sticking through it because the nails were too long; the SOLAS folks did file these down once we brought their attention to the issue).

Very well. Evan and Darryl were on time, professional, friendly, easy to work with. We added a small project during the course of the work, and they did it quickly and efficiently. We would definitely hire them again (and plan to!)

They used to be O'Beirne construction. Have a high rating on the List. Evan and Darryl are perfect gentlemen and do a beautiful job for a modest fee. We just gave them a couple of general guidelines. They showed up at the day and time they said they would and quickly performed a very nice job. After it was done we decided we should have told them to add a step and when I called to ask this be done Evan said no problem, they would do it for a reduced rate and when I got home from work the next day it was done. They will be doing more work for me. I actually have done a bit of construction myself and know enough to recognize professional work. Their work is professional. Great company and they do a lot of different jobs.

I submitted a report after the first install. Now they've finished the project and they do great work. Installed the windows and left the place clean. I think the price was so high because Jeldwen windows are very expensive.

It took them more than 3 full days to remove the porch rails, sand and stain the porch, and replace the railings. It took another 1/2 day to install the attic fan. There are two men and they both worked tirelessly. I could see what they were doing was difficult work. They also found areas of rot on the porch and stairs (and also a roof joist) which they repaired with top quality wood.

Darryl and Evan are very responsible and quick workers. They had an excellent understanding of the needs of the job, and as an added bonus, they are both very personable. Their original bid came in the next day after measuring the windows. They always returned calls and emails in a timely manner, and the clean up was impeccable! The top of one window didn't close when we called them to do the bid and Darryl repaired it at no charge when he came to measure the windows and bid on the job. At every turn, they went the extra mile. I am hiring them to replace the rest of our upstairs windows and to install rolled fiber-glass insulation in the attic. I will also have them replace some rotted exterior trim on the house.
