Slave to the Machine

When my 5-year-old HP Slimline desktop computer suddenly died, I was frantic to find a computer repair technician. Naturally, this happened on a Saturday during the pandemic, so most places were closed and had long wait lists. Steven came to my rescue. Having never met me before, he spent 15 minutes of his time determining it was not worth the expense for me to repair my computer, advising me about suitable and affordable replacement models, and explaining how I could extract my hard drive to place it into an external enclosure for data import to the new computer. He didn't sugarcoat the situation and just told me flat out what would work best for me. Wow. He even followed up with me a couple days later and never charged me a cent for his time. Given the other reviews I've seen and my conversation with Steven, he obviously knows quite a lot about computers, and he put customer service and overall kindness before profit. I definitely recommend Steven and Slave to the Machine for anyone that needs computer service. While I hope my new computer won't have any problems anytime soon, I will definitely be calling him if it does.
