 + -1 moreDavid, Justin and their whole crew were easy to work with and had some very creative ideas that really led to the transformation of the space, including using reclaimed fir trim, taking out the chimney and moving all of the utilities (furnace, water heater, etc.) to a corner of the basement. I am now renting it out on Airbnb-- my guests love the space! There were a few issues along the way as there always are, and David was able to work with me to resolve them. As a matter of fact, recently, a year and a half after the construction was completed, I contacted David about a leak I found in the water heater plumbing, and within a day his plumber came to fix it without charge. What's more, he did it without waking the sleeping toddler of my Airbnb guests!
Description of Work: They finished my basement, and converted it from a dank storage space into a beautiful living space, doing some structural work along the way that included seismic retrofitting and reinforcing the central beam with an additional post and new footings on existing posts.

 + -1 moreThey are people that I may use. He was setting up preliminary quote. It was a kind of guess work. It wasn't exact. It was an approximate amount, $43000. They seemed very knowledgeable and friendly and I really liked their approach. They were very personable and they were very open to me looking at their work, visiting the sites that they have done which I haven't done yet. They suggested an architect who I ended up using so I am in the process of making the drawings and then I will get the estimates again. I would love to use them if I can afford them. I'm hoping to be able to use them.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Shelbyville Remodeling LLC in January. It was for an addition of a bathroom with the dormer out (the whole stairs-upstairs).

 + -1 moreIt was outstanding. I specifically liked the craftsmanship of the woodwork. They were very concerned with making sure we were satisfied with the work. They also added very interesting details while working within our budget.
Description of Work: They added a bathroom and walk in closet and then remodeled a master bedroom. The cost includes everything from labor to materials.
