It started bad and went downhill from there.
We got a quote over the phone with no mention that screens weren't included and that a special charge for a 2-story house would be added.
We ultimately agreed on a price when they arrived but we weren't happy with how it went down. The guy who did the quote and was training the second person had a pretty arrogant attitude and even my husband, who is pretty laid back, told be the guy was bad news.
Then they cleaned the windows except that they weren't clean!!! Some of them were REALLY bad!
I called the office to complain and they said they'd send someone out to redo them. They told me the day and time so once again we re-arranged our normal daily schedule to be there for the "re-do". When they were about 1 late I called the office and spoke with the owner. He was flippant but did say he'd follow up and see what was going on. About an hour later a single guy showed up who wasn't either of the guys who did the crummy job.
He said it was going to be difficult to access the windows without a helper but he did give it a try. He redid them and was polite. I felt bad he had to redo someone else's problem!
Bottom line--we still have several windows that when the light hits them a certain way you can see smears, etc. It is by far the worst window cleaning job we have ever had in this house. We've lived her almost 20 years and have had the windows done may times. I would NEVER consider hiring this company again. Even if they gave me the deal of the century!

We've used them once or twice a year for close to ten years. We have a big 3-story old Portland house and they were cleaning about 3/4 of our gutters. It's like $160 when they clean them all. Usually, when they do the gutter cleaning if the nails are loose or anything, they tap them back in or do whatever they need to do. Mostly, it's just gutter cleaning. Mostly, what I like about them is that they've always been really responsive when I call them. They'll fit somebody in and get them out here usually the next day. If I call early in the day and they have somebody, they'll send them out the same day within a few hours. Everybody else has wanted to charge us at least as much. I think it's a pretty good value. They're good. They always do a good job. They're pretty conscientious. They're always here when they say they're going to be here.

I called Shannon the Cannon on Friday and they had someone over the next day. They were punctual and professional. Also, when they found that it was mostly our downspouts that were clogged, they charged $30 less than the quoted price.
I've used this company for the last 6 years and haven't had any problems - always left the work area clean and tidy. In addition to gutter cleaning, they've also done my holiday light decorating and roof cleaning. I've always been satisfied and will continue using them!

They came back a 2nd time for free and retreated my roof, as some moss had grown back since the first application was in July. They give 10% of your bill to charity, which I also liked.

Shannon the Cannon is great. From the phone call, through the bid to the work, they are just highly professional and efficient. They do call regularly to ask if you'd like to rebook, but are always friendly and no pressure. They came highly recommended from the hardest to please person I know, so I will admit I have not price compared.

I called them for an appointment less than a week ago. The person answering the phone was extremely pleasant. I asked about discounts and they mentioned their current food bank program. Three items of nonperishable food results in a 10 percent discount. They came precisely on time. They told me to call within 30 days if there are any problems. Have used this company for years and am always pleased with them.

Called on 7-20-10 and made an appt. with Jennifer for them to come out on the 28th. Jennifer was very pleasant and assured me that they would be careful to not leave any debris after they completed the cleaning. According to receipt, service rep' was Charlie. He actually came early which was fine until he realized that he already had an appt. during the time he was doing the work on my house. This caused him to rush through the job. All the gutters still had debris on the sides and some had branches still in the gutters. Called Jennifer and again she was very pleasant and said the rep' would be out to clean off the gutters. He has yet to come. I left a voicemail with the company asking for it to be cleaned or a refund to be sent. No response so ended up cleaning off the gutters myself. This is the 2nd time I have tried them and will not again. Please take me off your call list.

They cleaned them real fast and did a good job. We have some difficult windows that were about 6 by 8 and they had to be taken off. They are hard to get off, so it was not the usual. They got here quick, did the work and was courteous.

I am satisfied with them. They always have different workers come out and the quality of the job depends on the workers. The company is okay and the management responds if I call about something but the workers are fairly inconsistent.

"First I will say that there is no record of any complaint from this customer. Being the most credendiled company in our area we also guarentee our work 100% for up to 31 days of job completion. It is not fair to judge our company on a problem we were not aware of. If customer would have followed policy they would have had situation resolved. We've never hired anyone to do our gutter cleaning before - we've always done it ourselves. Shannon the Cannon was very responsive, friendly on the phone and had competitive pricing. They showed up at the scheduled time, although we were not at either house when they performed the work. They cleaned up well and didn't seem to leave any debris around the house. So, everything was great until about 40 days later when our renters called to tell us one section of the gutters was overflowing like a bathtub.. We've been cleaning the gutters on that house for 10 years - we've never had to clear them twice in such a short time. When we called the company they said that unfortunately they only guarantee the cleaning for 30 days, so they would charge $50 to go back out and fix the problem (we paid $89 for that house the first time around). We expressed our dissatisfaction with the service (even called a second time) and they were willing to drop the price to $40, but we refused to pay out more when clearly the work was not done right the first time. We ended up going to the house to clean out the overflowing section ourselves and found A LOT of debris built up in that area - we're quite confident that they did not clean that area. It is a bit challenging given that the neighboring house is only 3-4 feet apart from ours on that side, but it's still easily accessible with an extension ladder. We should note that the second house they did has not had any problems. Thought we found our go-to gutter cleaning service, but unfortunately we'll take our business elsewhere.

"I would like to address this issue. As noted the job was out of our guarantee period. Also there may have been adverse weather within that time frame that could have gotten some more debris etc. Also you would have known of problem after first rain. We did offer a discounted price for a service call and at that time it was determined that a section was missed there would have been no charge. However with a simple inspection found that indeed there was debris from weather etc. we would charge service fee and I think that would be more than fair. I was pleased with them. They were thorough and quick, and did a good job. They gave me a discount because I am a member of Angie?s List and a discount for being over 60. I thought that the price of about $95 was reasonable. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

They made a big mistake. One of the men who was cleaning the outside windows; he knocked off a sprinkler and did not mention it to us. He might not have seen that, but, that sprinkler happened to be without the sprinkler head there, so, the water had poured up to the front door. We had a really big job to get it squared away and we called them and told them about it. They did a couple of other bad things which I don't remember. I didn't expect them to give us a new door but, I would have liked an apology and I didn't get it, so, we decided to go some place else.

We liked their work in 2007, so hired them again fall of 2008. The lady who answered the phone was really abrasive when we asked about the price increase. She told us to expect a price increase every year, but had no explanation for it. The people who came to do the job were friendly enough, but they left some debris in the drain that caused the gutters to overflow in the first heavy rain. They are ok, but we probably won't use them again.
