He comes highly regarded. He is incredibly accountable. He shows up and cleans up. They are a groomed crew. His prices are kind of premium but the work is premium as well.

They did a great job. They were on time and it was well done. The two workers were fabulous.

They were fabulous. We have nothing but good things to say about him and his guys. He is a clear communicator, trust worthy, and keeps his word. I would absolutely work with him again.

Richard gave us a detailed schedule and his team stuck to it really closely. There were a few small delays at the end, but we knew about them and were fine with them. The workers on every phase of the project were incredibly pleasant, responsive and professional--the kind of people you feel comfortable having in your home, even if you're not there--especially the carpenters, Dave and Freddie. I work at home, so I interacted with them quite a bit.
Richard was at our site regularly to review and troubleshoot. He's a stickler for quality, so you can be sure he'll notice EVERYthing and make sure it's just right. We are super-picky, and I can say that Richard matched our pickiness completely!
It's now been a year since the work was done, and it has held up beautifully. I'd hire Richard's company again, happily.
My only complaint would be that the painters they subbed to were a little less customer-conscious than the rest of the team. They showed up at odd times and let themselves into the house early on a Saturday morning without knocking. Not cool! But the work they did was fabulous. Just be sure to get up early if the painters are coming. They may surprise you.

Everything went really well (but then it always does when we have used this company). The owner, Richard, is very understanding about us wanting to do our own pre-remodeling demolition to save money, and he works our projects into his schedule fairly quickly. The best part of RS Wallace is the people and their excellent service. We enjoy having them in our home and look forward to having them back.

I could not anticipate just how beautiful the finished would look; I'm so sorry we didn't do this much sooner! The tile work was very laborious involving a lot of trimmed pieces to fit our porch--which is neither level or plumb. Extra detail went into cutting the tile edges at the front of the porch floor at an angle to hide the unfinished edges. The foundation repairs ended up being more than we anticipated, which is common for an old house, but the addition expense of fixing it was very reasonable. We had hired another company to skimcoat a similar section of foundation several years before and it looked patched. The work Fredy did on this latest section does not look patched, but brand new. I'm starting to losing track of how many successful projects we've had RS Wallace do for us. Once again, Richard, Dave and Fredy, made a huge difference in the appearance and function of our home.

The porch project went very smoothly. Older homes have a habit of uncovering extra things that need to be done, right in the middle of other, planned projects. RS Wallace Construction's crew handles these surprises with ease and the sometimes-necessary changes to their estimate are always very appropriate; Richard is very cost-conscious, and can almost always provide a couple options to choose from to keep within our budget. Dave was the carpenter who was in charge of this project, and he took such a personal interest from the very start. Fredy is another favorite; their craftsmanship really shows and adds great value to our home. This project isn't quite finished yet, as we are going to install a patio the new porch will step down on to, and then they'll be back to add the stairs. Waiting on us is never a problem for Richard and his guys. They work around our family of four very well, and they are so nice to have around; we always look forward to having them back for a new project.
