They are very responsive and knowledgeable. I really like that they use environmentally safe products that don't hurt plants.

They were extremely informative. He gave a thorough inspection on our roof. He had taken pictures showing what repairs were needed. He informed us 350-370 cedar shakes need to be replaced out of 8400. They left no mess and made sure that everything was clean. They gave me no problems.

They did an excellent job with their insurance, warranty, and company. They did a good job communicating with me. They cleaned up their mess after everyday. The crew was very friendly and let me put in my input. I would never use another roofer other than Roof Life. When they set a date to finish they did all four roofs in the set time only two days late due to weather.

We only received a estimate from these people, but it was just terrible. They wanted to replace about 25% of our cedar roof for about $11,000, plus clean the rest of the roof for about $1,200. This bid made us furious and I kick them out of the house. We then contacted Quality Roofing in Aloha and their bid was just $2,000 for replacing necessary shingles and that also included cleaning the roof. They have done the cleaning and replacing. The job was excellent. I would give Roof Life of Oregon an F.

They were very fast and quick to put a tarp where the rain was coming in. It was a good feeling to have them do this when the rain was coming down. I would use them again.

1st Oregon was very helpful and supportive, even cheerfully pushing back the big date to accommodate a last minute second round of color tests. (They paint your finalist colors on your garage door so you can try them on for size.) The crew was tidy and careful overall, with the occasional incident (paint on the driveway and walk) being corrected. Both the prep and the paint work itself were first-rate. Not that everything was a bed of roses: A language barrier with the on site team contributed to mis-communication between them and both their office and us. This resulted in the team mistakenly trying to sand and prime the door in-place, getting dust in the house and causing a three day delay. We started out thinking that we were paying 1st or a bit of a premium (second highest of four bids), but as the value of what they were doing became apparent, we decided they were worth every penny. They did a great job for us. We'd have them back in a heartbeat.

Subcontracted. Sub mistakenly invoiced me instead of Roof Life, exposing an 150% mark-up. I knew they weren't the cheapest place in town, but was shocked at the difference. Other bids were about half, one or two were about 25% of Roof Life's bid, but the work proposed was not similar - To be fair, it was an apples-to-oranges comparison. Installation: New gutters followed the same slope as the originals despite my specific request to insure that the slope was correct. Roof Life promised to reschedule the sub to fix the slope, but we never heard from anyone. Travel and holiday doings prevented me from pestering them to get it fixed. Will resume contact with them in January. Price: Patrick adjusted the price to a 100% mark-up after hearing my story about the sub. This put their service just above most of the other bids when comparing similar services. Should have done it right the first time for the price I paid. High score on professionalism for Patrick even despite my price objection.

The on site crew was amazing (Olik, Leo, Alex, Vlad). Requesting them would be wise. The crew is very professional, respectful of your property, truly cares about the quality of their work and strives to make you happy. They are nice guys. The project mgmt. from the guy in the office could have been better; didn't keep track of details well, doesn't communicate well, didn't start when promised (one week late). He was going to bid the paint and gutters, but since I never heard back from him and he didn't return my calls, I just bid it out myself and scheduled it so I knew it would be done before it started to rain; bid me really high on trim (6k higher). He didn't manage any complexities well. Got kinda stressed out and didn't tell me what my options were or how to resolve issues. But the on site workers made up for it! I would hire them again due to quality, and just know that you have to stay on the project mgrs. a bit. But, ending up w/quality is worth it in the end.

Very well done and handled very professionally. I can say enough about the quality of workmanship. Work site was cleaned daily. When the job was complete you wouldn't know a major job had taken place. I recommend them highly.

Best experience I've had with a contractor. Patrick Morin, the company president, is a very knowledgeable guy with an easy-going personality--he was genuinely fun to work with. He inspected the job daily and was always available on his cell phone. If I left a message at his office, he returned the call promptly. I especially appreciated his flexibility in accommodating my numerous changes to the work order as the job progressed--he never missed a trick. The workmen were skilled painters and were steadily on the job until it was done. They didn't play music and they cleaned up well each day. All in all, I was very pleased with the job and felt I got an excellent value for the money. You can trust this company to do a good job for you.

Very upset and disappointed with the service and quality of work. The inspector was very late, when he arrived not sure what he was there to do, whether to give an estimate for a new roof or to give a certification to an exsisitng roof. My husband talked to him in person, explained the situation, that we wanted a roof certification and to please let us know immediately, (we were inside our house) what the results were. He finished the job and called our house from the driveway ... don't know why he didn't come to front door, then tried to talk me about the roof, he wasn't even sure what he was doing or who he was talking too! My husband did go out to talk to him, he said the roof would be good for 3 - 5 years, but wouldn't certify it or write it in his report. In his report he said we needed a complete new roof. And yet he also told our realtor that the roof was good for 3 - 5 years and still wouldn't write it in a report. Will not use this company or recommend to anyone I know.

They came out when they said they would, they knew what to do, and they took care of it. They were very efficient. We haven't had any problem since. My only small problem was that I didn't have a chance to ask any questions (what should I look out for, is there anything I should do to prevent it in the future?)

I was surprised because I heard so many good things about them. I know they are pricier than others, but I did not care. I needed it fixed on the spot. I waited but ended up finding a handyman type person to patch it for now. I would have just liked to have been told we can't do the job than to be left hanging. I was in an emergency, and this was not professional at all.

I was very impressed with how well this company cleaned up after themselves. They also did very thorough work. That pleased me greatly. I would not hesitate to recommend the services of this company to other people. They left me feeling like a satisfied customer.

They have been out FIVE times now and have thus far failed to fix the leak. Luckily, they haven't charged us beyond the original amount paid.

Generally, it went okay. They could not come out for about a week, but they did come when they said they would. They could not find matching shingles, but said they installed the closest match they could find (black instead of gray). Some of the smaller sections of damaged shingles were not repaired. Some debris (nails and torn shingles) was also left on the roof. I did not attempt to try to have them come back to correct.

5 years ago, they cleaned and treated my tile roof and retreated it this year. It has to be done every 5 years. They do guarantee their work, and some more moss showed up this time, and they cleaned it for free. I thought that they are a little expensive, but the quality of work is comparable. They did replace a tile that didn't quite match in color but were very responsive in returning to remedy this problem. I would recommend the use of this company.

ORIGINAL CONTACT REPORTED THE MOSS WOULD DISSOLVE DURING RAINS AFTER TREATMENT. TREATED IN APRIL 2006, BY AUGUST SUBSTANTIAL MOSS REMAINED, SO I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH RAINFALL YET. I CALLED AGAIN ON 15 NOV AFTER 8.5 INCHES OF RAINFALL OVER 2 WEEKS BECAUSE THE MOSS POPULATION REMAINED UNCHANGED. I WAS TOLD IT REQUIRED 3 TO 4 MONTHS OF RAIN. THAT BOTH TIME and RAIN WERE REQUIRED. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE CLOSE INSPECTION INDICATES NEARLY ALL THE MOSS IS LIVING, EVEN AFTER 7 MONTHS. I SEE NO REASON TO BELIEVE THE REMAINING MOSS WILL WASH OFF. I AGREED TO WAIT UNTIL JANUARY FOR THE ROOF TO BE CLEAR. AT THAT TIME, IF MOSS REMAINS, I WILL FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND/OR TAKE ACTION TO ENFORCE THE GUARANTEE.

Roof Life bid was at least 10% (and as much as 25%) higher than other bids. Given high cost, we're not as satisfied as we hoped we would be. We were sold by the customer service from sales rep Tony St. Pierre, who's great: very positive can-do attitude, returns calls promptly, answered all our questions. However, we didn't feel that the quality of the job matched what we were told and certainly did not match the cost. The roof looks good, So I'm satisfied with the roof itself. But not to the tune of over 21,0000 dollars! To charge that, you need to be close to perfect, they weren't: Skylights arrived but didn't have flashing (they don't check their materials before going out on a job?) so delayed finishing. Then put in wrong skylight (they fixed). Clean up wasn't so good. Left port-a-potty in front of our house a week after job done. Still no gutters, hand cranks. A good job for sure, but not for the price.

Very good. This is a very professional company from the salesman to the project manger and workers.

They are listed under Roofing, so I emailed them for an estimate on a tear off roof. They called back and said they only do, Roof Maintenance. Angie's List please remove them from the Roofing category!!!

The people I spoke with were well informed and professional.

After my initial call, I did not hear back from the person who would actually be able to give me a bid for several days. By that time I had received other bids and chosen someone else to do the work. I did receive a call later letting me know that they would be happy to answer any questions, even though I had chosen someone else. The people were pleasant - the timing just didn't work out. Difficult to fairly rate them because of that. I would call them again for a bid. My impression is that this was probably not the norm.

I expressed interest in some repairs by submitting an online form at their website. I got a call back very soon after. They told me that they only do repairs if they can also treat your roof ($1000 cost.) I said I would pass on it. However, she did recommend another roofing company for repairs: Interstate Roofing. I have called them and arranged a visit.

After repeated calls an appointment was set up with their estimator Tony. Getting our schedules in synch was a project. He called me a half hour before he was due to say that he was running late, and wondering if we could reschedule. I just missed the call, but immediately returned it, only to get his voicemail. I told him to please come that day and that I'd wait. He never returned my call then or ever again and stood me up. If this is professional, I don't want any part of it!
