We brought our car in for the scheduled maintenance and to get a new battery. Also the driver side parking light was out. They kept referring to it as a day time running light. This car does not have those types of lights. We get to the computer and he goes over our options for the car. The scheduled maintenance is a tire rotation, and oil changes every 10k miles. He tried to sell us an oil change at the 5k interval and we denied, which he then countered with more push. We drop it off, and get a call about 30 minutes later about how the other side light is also burnt out now. "It was the weirdest thing that it was working when went over it when we got there but now it is burnt out". So either he is lying that it wasn't burnt out, or your service department messed something up and broke it. A better pitch would be recommend replacing lights in pairs... take note for when you try and extort your customers in the future. We get the call that the car is ready. Go and pick it up. We were not offered a car wash so I had to go back and get the voucher. We get home and my wife tells me the check engine light was on. I check... sure enough, you did not reset the check engine light nor update the sticker for the maintenance. In addition to that you did not reset the clock on the car after you swapped batteries. I checked the battery and it does appear like you actually changed that. My wife then has to bring the car back in to reset the light. There is an "apology". She was told that they are very sorry, but instead of ending it there he then blames us for not getting the oil changed since that is when they reset the light and put in a new sticker. On the paperwork and email that they send us they include virtually any replacement part Pretty much there are pushy sales people in the service area and it seems like the focus is making money versus building a relationship or taking care of your customers cars. I do not trust them to do any maintenance on my car. I will never bring my car here again. The only positive thing the dealer offers is that they do not have their own car wash, so you get a voucher for Washman Car Wash, which is an excellent car wash with free vacuums. I would give zero stars if I could. I miss our old dealership.

They have been maintaining it since especially with the oil change. The guy I worked with was very nice, and the price was fair. I probably could have gotten a better price but that was my fault verses something to do with them. I feel like it was as fair price for a car. I am just not a good negotiator when it comes to car buying. I would use them again.

That was free with the exception of the tire rotation. I ended up paying $19.95 and that included the brake inspection. They have been so good to me for all these years. I would use them again. I have had all my service done with them. It was same day service, within a couple hours. The workers were great. Everyone is always professional and friendly. They always come in and let me know. With the oil change if there is anything they discover they discuss it with me, if it is a safely issues or it can be delayed. They communicate well with what the issues are. I would use them again.

They did a recall on a vehicle that we had. The recall was on the passenger air bag insulator. Everything just went along. Except that a day after we got the car back, the inside panel right next to the driver's side door and the drivers side windshield came loose. So we called them and asked them what is going on. We assumed this is where they had to access the air bag. They said we can fix that but it will cost $75.00. We complained. Their customer service person took care of it. I really screamed at them. We come in on a recall but we have had this experience with them before. You go in for something easy and normal. Then there is something wrong and you have to go back. They finally fixed it for free. But they gave me a really hard time. We don't feel that they are trustworthy. I really feel that they are out to generate business. They did make it right but I had to go through a lot of hassle and inconvenience.

I used Ron Tonkin Toyota for a new car. The service was great. It was about a six hour process and he was very patient. They could have done it shorter. He sent you a thank you a thank you note afterwards and they were just nice. They are what I would call not a high preassure sales car dealer and that is a good thing.

Ron Tonkin Toyota put new brakes on my Highlander in January 2014. In early February, I started hearing a rattling sound under my car. I took the car back to the dealer and they found that a bracket that was part of the brake installation was faulty. They put in a new bracket assembly at no cost to me.
I have used the service department at Ron Tonkin since purchasing my Highlander new in 2004. They have always been very easy to work with. While their prices are not the cheapest, they always stand by their work. I also enjoy working with the service consultants--they are very responsive and personable.

The car was at another dealership and they assured us that they had made a dealer trade and the car would be delivered the next morning. They ran our credit, we signed all the loan documents as well as the documents to transfer ownership of the vehicle and gave them a down payment. Finally, the next afternoon, they called to tell us the other dealership sold the car late the previous night, after we had left. We called the other dealership only to find out that the car had actually been sold earlier in the day and Ron Tonkin had never had any deal to procure the vehicle. We went in to the dealership to resolve the matter and the only thing they were willing to do was sell us a different vehicle at a higher price, or try to find a comparable vehicle from another dealership with the same price but only if it is exactly the same vehicle, with no guarantee of color or interior options. The new car manager actually told me he couldn't order me the car I'd already purchased directly from Toyota. He said he could only request a type of car and he had no control over what they gave him! We have ordered new model year Toyota vehicles in the past, exactly how we want them. I feel they were completely misleading from the beginning of the transaction. They say that they want to make it right but are completely unwilling to inconvenience themselves or take one penny less for the trouble they caused us. As of this morning, it's still unresolved. We have to sign documents cancelling the loan and they still have my down payment. We are waiting for them to contact us with a resolution.

They check everything on the vehicle. They check your brakes and everything. They make sure everything is good. Their customer service is outstanding. They treat you really well. They have a service where they drop your vehicle off, and they take you home. It's at no charge. They're very friendly, and it's a nice atmosphere. The customer service is outstanding.

Knew ahead of time that the seal on the tank might have to do with the check engine light. There was seemingly nothing wrong with the car. I just wanted the light to go off. They were very nice and punctual but after a diagnostic wanted to do around $300 dollars of work to replace the fuel tank connector. Luckily I decided to hold off on doing the work as I was not sure having the check engine light go off was worth $300. We're just talking about a sensor here. Ultimately, they fixed the sensor just by fiddling with it I guess because when I came back to get the car the check engine light was OFF! So thanks for fixing the problem guys. I'm just glad I didn't give you another $300 after I already paid you $90 for such a minor thing.
