Timely, courteous, good explainers, noticed things that weren't on the list but needed attention and completed on time in coordination with the painting contractor.

I don't feel that a lot of detail is important. What is important is that Bill responded promptly and professionally to my initial email. Upon meeting for the first time we felt comfortable with Bill and that we could entrust him with the repairs. We were not disappointed. Our neighbor met Bill during the work and he too, hired him for repairs. We recommend Ridgefield.

Bill was able to start a week after the bid was prepared.  Said it would take two weeks and it took two weeks.
Everything was done to the specifications on our architect drawing.
When he was done, all work areas were cleaner than when he started.  Everything looks fantastic.
Our next project will be replacing kitchen counter tops.  We will call Bill when we are ready.

In our first experience Bill was recommended to us by our nephew who works in the construction industry. Bill came to our home and measured all of the exterior walls of our house. A few days later he submitted a formal bid to remove all of the defective L.P. siding, and replace it with all new siding. He seemed to be an honest man with a reasonable price who could start work in the near future. We signed the contract and never looked back. Bill was indeed honest and much more. He started work when he said he would. Once he started he didn't stop until the work was completed. If he had to miss a day he made sure to tell us the day before. He and his helpers were hard workers and took their job seriously. Of course we watched closely as the work progressed, and we were impressed by their commitment to doing the job right. Bill finished the work ahead of the completion date. We could not have been more satisfied.
A couple of years later the familyroom window started to leak water. We called Bill and he came to our home several times in an attempt to discover the source of the leak. He would remove areas of siding searching for the source and then replace the siding when nothing was found. He did all of this additional work at no cost to us.
This past summer we decided to replace our upstairs master bedroom window and the familyroom window directly below. After our prior experiences with Bill, we never considered hiring anyone else to do the new work. When Bill removed the upper window he found it to be the source of the leak. He showed it to us and it was obvious that a screw in the bottom of the window frame had rusted away over time. The hole it left together with a crack in the frame provided an escape route for the rain water that was supposed to drain to the outside of the window through the two portholes at the bottom provided by the manufacturer.
Bill again completed his work with the same diligence and attention to detail that was so in play when he replaced the siding years before. We highly recommend considering Bill's Ridgefield Homes when you are in need of a GOOD contractor

From the initial contact to the completion of the work, I was totally satisfied.  He is easy to contact by cell or e-mail.  He is responsive to questions and if he knows he will be unavailable for a given time (i.e., out of town), he will let you know that so you don't get frustrated trying to contact him.

All 3  contracts (siding repair, Hardi Plank residing,  and deck replacement) were fully completed to my satisfaction, including the removal of debris.

We had had Mr Clark replace much of the house & garage siding some time ago.  We called him to come and recaulk the siding, old and newer, and to inspect the old (LP) siding that had not been replaced.  He showed us where the LP needed to be replaced but saw no reason to replace that that was not damaged.  He also said he could repair some misc. damaged areas (see list).  He got right back to us and quickly did all the repairs.,  Bill is very professional, great people skills and has been very up-front and honest with us.  He never tried to tell us we needed to do more done but showed us where the trouble spots were.  He stayed on the job (in spite of some rain) until it was finished.  We would hire hime again it a minute, and feel confident in his skills.  Do trust him as he is trustworthy
