REMMEN AUCTION

In October 2013, we took an antique pull down desk and a huge carved hutch to be auctioned.  When we initially made contact with her, she told us the desk possibly would go for $700. and the hutch, because of it's size, possibly would go for around $400.  The auction was to be held at the end of October.  After no contact for some time, we contacted this company and was told the pieces did sell but they had lost our contact information and would send the check out that day, this was 3 weeks ago. I spoke with the owner today, 4-23-2014 and she said she had mailed the check and was VERY rude and had a bad attitude right away. The Owner actually cussed at me (using the F word)!!!  She said the furniture had auctioned at somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 to $150 and when I questioned the amount, she got VERY irate, cussed and hung the phone up.  It puzzles me that if she had already sent the check, she would have known what the actual sale amount was instead of an estimate.  She advertises she is an Appraisal company as well as an Auction company, so I STRONGLY question the price received for the QUALITY furniture we took for her to sell. I DO NOT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM recommend this company and suggest everyone stand clear of this company.  I will be contacting the better business bureau to see what, if anything, can be done to insure this does not happen to anyone else.
