Recovery Roofing and Construction

I would like to start by saying that at the time of this review (November 2nd, 2023) Jimmys license to operate in Oregon is suspended, he has no recorded bond with the state, and there are two open complaints and one unpaid Oregon CCB civil penalty, which I think sets up what I am going to say here. Unfortunately Jimmys gutter work was an absolute disaster from day one. His two employees walked off the job without so much as a word, leaving unfinished gutters and parts around the yard. Jimmy reached out and apologized for that, so I started to think things would turn around, and he asked me if I wanted to add a bit more work and he had come back and wrap up what his employees had no done. In retrospect that was my first red flag, as he then proceeded to do some of the follow up work before disappearing again. Then my realtor and neighbor, who were both helping me prepare my house for sale, saw that even the *completed* gutters he had put in were leaking, were not at the right angle for drainage and had gaps. I reached out twice about this, and both times he apologized, said he'd come by tomorrow and then never showed. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the Oregon CCB, the BBB, and this has absolutely turned me off of using Angi. If the information Angi has is this stale and unreliable then I will stick with personal recommendations from real humans that I know.

Once the job was finished and paid for he wouldn't return phone calls when I called because I had issues. He assured me that if I had any problems he would come back. After about six weeks of calling him he did finally return my calls and came to see what my issues were and agreed to fix them and then he never showed up.

He contacted me right away and I got everything done the same day.

Very friendly, we were unsure as to exactly what we wanted. Jimmy talked to us about our options and how much the choices could cost. Kept us up-to-date with what was happening. Very quiet, even with all the hammering and sawing. Finished the job as promised. Looks great!
