The carpet had a heavy stain (spilled salad dressing) which I and then a previous carpet cleaner had been unable to get out. It had been there for years. RayBurt's got it out! I am thrilled. The loveseat also looks nice. They wrapped it in paper to keep dirt from getting on it in transit to our house. Staff was courteous, pleasant, and helpful.

They've been around for a long time too. They will come to your house, but you get a discount if you carry them in, so I carry them in. I've been going to them for years.I take my rugs every two years. They know Persian and Afghan rugs. Some people call them oriental rugs they know them well. They know where they come from. They know the dyes and how to clean them so they don't ruin them. They do repair work on them. They know the value of them. They're really good. The man has his sons involved in the business, they're pretty good too and they're a family business. We have a lot of confidence in them. They're not outrageously priced like others.

Ray-Burt's does an excellent job. My family have used them for years. They are expensive though. Their service is second to none.

Mat is a Miracle Worker!!!! That is Matt Benson, the proprietor of Ray-Burts. My first encounter was to bring several Persian and Egyptian rugs to Mr. Benson for cleaning. A person who shall remain nameless and a cat had badly mistreated my precious Persian rug, so I had little hope of salvaging it, but to my surprise when I returned to pick up the rugs, including my Persian, they looked amazing. There were colors and textures that I did not even realize were there and not a sign of cat damage. Wow!!! But it gets better than this, much better. Recently, we spotted a 10X13 hand-made Persian rug for sale on Craig's list for a very low price, but as it turned out, the low price was for a reason. The rug looked like h*** as if someone had lived on it for decades. Significant portions of the rug were worn down, so that there was no color left on the rug, the trim had all but disintegrated and the edges were torn up in huge chunks, and much of the color had faded. But I had driven for over an hour to see this rug and having seen the miracles that Mr. Benson can perform, I decided to take a gamble on it, hoping underneath it all, there was a beautiful rug. After purchasing the rug for chump-change, I drove straight to Mr. Benson and he said that he would do the best that he could, but it needed a lot of attention. He said that it would be ready in a week, but after only three days he called me with an excited voice saying that " your gamble paid off; you have a beautiful rug!!!" He said that he was able to do a lot more for it than he expected. The rug had indeed been transformed into something amazingly beautiful and the price was beyond reasonable. Great Service & Great Prices!

He did a really super job. He left a small mess once but that wasn't a big deal.

Ray Burt's is not the low-cost spread. They do everything VERY right, thoroughly, and they know carpet and what it takes to make sure your floor coverings will last and be well cared for. They are one of the most professional service organizations I have had the pleasure of dealing with and they will continue to get my business because of their service, knowledge, excellent work, and follow-through. There is no peer in Portland.

Carl at RayBurt kindly walked me through the value of the carpet pad they carry. The pad was cut to size 10' x 13' and loaded into my small car for me. Carl toured me around the facility and I left with free stain remover, too. I will definitly return there for all my carpet needs.

They do excellent work. I think their employees are very professional, courteous, and competent.

We recently had work done at our house and wanted two of our rugs cleaned while the furniture was out of the rooms, so I called Ray-Burts. They offered a discount for cash and carry, but these rugs are too heavy for us to haul down stairs and out to to the car, so Ray-Burts' delivery men picked the rugs up. Because we were waiting to put the rooms back together until the rugs were returned, I called the store a week later to find out the status. They were a bit haughty and basically said, "don't call us, we'll call you." It was on that call that I confirmed to them that I didn't want to buy carpet pads from them, as we had discussed earlier. I waited, but they never called back. Finally about a week later I called again. Again haughty, they sniffed that they'd been waiting for me to let them know whether I wanted to buy carpet pads. I reiterated that I did not, then made arrangements for delivery of the rugs. The final price was over $800, about $200 more than I was expecting. Yes, the rugs are nice and clean and the deliverymen were polite, but the people in the office were difficult to deal with and rather condescending. I don't think I'll do business with them again.

I spent about $375 on that work. They were just excellent and I liked them. I liked the people from this company, I talked to two different people, and I first of all liked the friendliness of the person I initially talked to. My husband was really the one that dealt with him and he said that it felt like they really knew what they were doing. They did a good job from what I can see, they helped us right away, and it was done very quickly. I would recommend them to others. I actually used them in the past about 5 or 6 years ago and they were recommended to me by somebody because they did more specialty work. We felt that their prices were not exuberant.

Ray-Burt's did a great job. They showed up on time and did a good job with the cleaning. They were thorough and explained what they were doing. They did a good job.

Such a pleasure, it was, to work with such competent and caring employees.

Carl Benson is an expert on hand-tied rugs. He quickly, and correctly identified my rugs as being Chinese interpretations of Persian designs (Sino-Persian). They cleaned them quickly, and well at a fair price. While Ray-Burts isn't the cheapest they are very good, and I will use them again in the future.

They picked them up, cleaned them and did any minor repairs that were needed, and delivered them. They did all the furniture moving and got them put back just so.

They did spot removal. Over the years we have had great experience with them. We have used them several times. We have used them at several locations. They have been professional and have done a good job.

I had four or five different estimates and I decided on Ray-Burt's because the quote was extremely professional and I could tell exactly what all the costs involved were. The man that came out to do the work was very meticulous and he did a fine job. I thought the whole job was very complete and professional. They had a fabric protector which some of the other companies did not. I am absolutely satisfied.

We've had this rug cleaned before but nothing compared to the job these guys did. There is no more dog smell. No more stains. It's a 20-year-old rug and it looks brand new. It's beautiful. They will come to your house, but you get a nice discount if you have rugs you can transport to their shop yourself.

They did an excellent job. Very professional service including the gentleman that came out to do the quote and the gentlemen that came out to do the service too. I would recommend them to others.

The second time we have used their services. They did an excellent job both times. The carpets look beautiful. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with. They finished the job on the date requested. One man even gave us some information about how our rug was made.

Ray Burt's is crazy expensive, but they are great. It is one of those experiences where you really feel like it was worth it to pay the extra money. Super friendly, professional, informative (what they did, how it went, etc), prompt, and of course, most importantly, the carpets all look like they are brand new. In retrospect, I probably could have had someone cheaper do the 3 machine made rugs and saved a bit - but I wouldn't trust anyone but Ray Burt's for the fine rugs, and the convenience, and knowledge that it would all be done top quality was worth the extra.

Excellent. Very professional from the estimating through the scheduling reminder and the work. Was able to get almost all of a bad stain on one of the stairs. Barely noticeable now because I know it is there. Recommended by EcoHaus where we purchased the carpet. I have no basis for comparison regarding the cost. The carpet is wool and it had some bad spots. We wanted it done right and they were recommended by the carpet vendor, so the cost did not dissuade us.

I've used them for the last few years. I've never used anyone else, but it did seem a little expensive. They're very customer oriented. They've very careful with your belongings, and I've never felt anything but professionalism with them.

I have two light-colored wool area rugs. I did not buy the rugs from Ray-burt's, but they did provide the edging for the unfinished carpets. With the edging, they provided a sheet with cleaning tips. When the carpets became stained, I used one of their cleaning tips to spot-clean it. To my dismay, this seemed to cause the carpet to become bleached out. I called and complained, and Ray-Burt's was very responsive. They sent someone out to take a look and gave me a recommendation on what to do. I decided to bring the carpets in to them to have them fully cleaned. They gave me a small discount on the cleaning, and the carpets came out as good as new. Their staff was very friendly and responsive, and I felt great in my dealings with the company. I was a small customer that they could have easily blown off, and I feel they rectified the situation with courtesy and respect. I will definitely use them in the future.

The gentleman that did the estimate was very timely and professional. He knew A LOT about all kinds of rugs and carpets. I would use them for high end jobs and expensive carpets. They were just too pricey for the small job and cheap carpet that I had.
