Installed and tested new head; repaired old leak. He also found a nw leak in the old sprinkler system which he did not have the proper tools to repair. He was very professional. The part he could not repair was beyond the scope of the original work.

Robert said he now only does repairs of existing systems. He was very efficient at zeroing on the various problems my existing system had, including fixing a cut electrical wire that led to one valve. He patiently found and fixed the many leaks that had been wasting gallons of water. He knew what he was doing and had the parts with him to enable a speedy repair. His prices are more than fair. This is the second time I've had him to my place, and the quality of his service remains high.

Robert and his team are always prepared and they were able to complete the job the day they arrived and significantly less expensively than we had budgeted.

Robert had given us an estimate about 3 years ago when he was at our neighbor's house, working on their property.  After 3 years of dead plants and water wasted, we decided to go for it.  He came back out and updated the bid, including a reasonable amount for increases in costs over the last 3 years.  He was able to get started quickly.

His three employees were really hard workers, and man, is that hard work. I never realized just how hard it is.  They tore everything up and put it back together when they were done.  They were kind to the neighbors and even pointed out a hummingbird nest in one of our trees.

We had a mess of bamboo on the side of the house, and Robert and his crew went the extra distance to trench through those awful roots and install a barrier for us.  He charged us less than I know it cost him.

He is very knowledgeable not just about the irrigation, but the plants themselves.  He is very responsive as well.  A very professional team and an excellent project. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Robert and his crew installed the second phase of my drip irrigation for the front yard. They have done excellent work for a reasonable price and they are responsive to customer requests. Because they completed and earlier project for the back yard and had installed most of the infrastructure, this project was quick and say. Good work guys!

Drakes 3 Dees told me that the control box they had put in 3 years prior, "had burned out." The technician said I needed a whole new box. He said nothing about a warranty just that the "Rainbird system had come down in price and I would get a much better system for only $300+ bucks." I thought, WHAT THE HECK? Over three hundred bucks to replace a stupid plastic control panel that broke within three years? This not only sucked but sucked outrageously. I called Rain Man to see if I could get a better deal on my "broken system." They came out within one day. They told me the specialist from Drakes, only had to "reboot the system," or turn the system off and turn it back on, like a power switch. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE UNIT. NOT ONLY THAT, Rain Man said that the outdoor filter, hadn't been cleaned in awhile and was full of mud. NOT ONLY THAT, Rain Man found two holes in my hose that was supposed to be "fine" according to Drake 3 Dees. NOT ONLY THAT, Drakes was going to charge me the FULL RETAIL PRICE OF THE NEW SYSTEM, and RainMan would have charged only cost. RainMan fixed the "broken system" by turning it off and turning it back on. They found the leaks that Drakes said didn't exist, they cleaned the outside filter that Drakes hadn't cleaned in their "spring inspection," and told me if in fact, I had needed a new control panel, they never would have charged me full retail price as Drakes 3 Dees was going to do. And all for $49 bucks. I switched my yearly contract to Rainman. I trust this company and really appreciate that they were real with me and gave me great service. GOOD, HONEST PEOPLE.

He is a great communicator. He helped trouble-shoot with me over the phone and even came to my home a second time to help with some other needs. I am using him to assist with my new home's lawn irrigation system. I was very pleased with everything he did and I have no complaints.

There was a leak in one of the hoses and they repaired the leak and checked to make sure that the rest of the system was working that way it was supposed too. I was pleased with the service, because when they came out there was a deal for an hour of labor. The repair took about five minutes and they spent the rest of the of the system. I paid the discounted price for the hour of labor and then for the repair parts. The only thing negative that I had was that I did not have much advance warning to be prepared for the parts cost.

We have used this company since 1998 for our irrigation needs. Rainman Irrigation recently designed and installed our irrigation system. The owner of the company (Robert Walker) is professional, detailed and personable. Robert was on-site to oversee and assist in all of phases of the work. He is familar with the watering needs of plants, shrubs and trees and made helpful suggestions for water conservation. When the job was complete Robert left the system in working order and functioning for summer watering of our planting areas. There were no surprises and the work was completed on time and on budget!

I called late last week (like Thursday) and he called me back on a Tuesday. Maybe he took an extended holiday weekend (as in 4 days). Anyway over the phone I was not all that impressed but since my new fence needed less water I used him anyway. He quoted me $75 per hour plus the rain sensor of $50. He thought it would take 2 hours to do my job. He arrived (sorry it's only Robert and his assistant) on time if not slightly early as he was waiting for me at home. We walked around and discussed every thing I needed done, basically to adjust all sprinkler heads and install the sensor. He said it would take less time than the two hours he quoted me, it did (1.5 hours instead). Robert kept trying to demonstrate his knowledge to me throughout the whole process probably because I said I got his name off Angie's List and he wanted a good recommendation. He did know what he was talking about for the most part. Robert changed out almost all heads and adjusted them. After I reviewed them he re-adjusted several of them again because I still was getting watered sidewalks. I am happy with his job. Lastly, his assistant tried to fix my loose hose bib next to my water feature (hose bibs can't be installed next to water features according to him because it violates code) but ended up breaking it. They fixed it in 10 minutes without any additional charges to me. Good job, I'd use him again.

They did an excellent job. They had a very good crew. They did what they said they would. They were very timely and they were very good at cleaning up after themselves. They were very nice and polite.

After seeing how the system operates, and educating myself a bit, I fault Mr. Walker for not spending more time on the design of the sprinkler half. The heads are not placed at recommended spacings, one region gets no water, others get too much. Some of the plants are being knocked down by the spray. (Granted, the shape of the area presents a challenge, but that is why I wanted a pro.) He mixed spray nozzle types which Rain Bird recommends not be used in the same zone. We have pressure higher than Rain Bird suggests, yet he did not install heads containing pressure regulators. I have yet to figure out how to correct the problems without major work. Mr. Walker has considerable experience, and used that experience in place of careful design. With more care, we would have a far more satisfactory system. His price was not the lowest. I expected more because of his experience. The drip portion seems to be fine. The workmanship was good, although some of the trenches could have been back-filled with more care. The area was cleaned up well. The crew of two were interesting and personable.

Very well. The work was done on time and on budget and the owner has come back each year (for a small fee) to turn the system off an on and has made a few minor adjustments at no charge.

The job went very well. Robert and Tim were great to work with. The area that they were working on is about 1/2 an acre consisting of some lawn and extensive English gardens. The beds have grown and changed so much over the years that the existing system was not providing proper coverage. They really know their stuff. Robert is also very knowledgeable about plants, so he knew what plants needed how much water. I will be using them again to install irrigation around the guest and possibly the woodland area. I highly recommend this company.

Although pricey, we went with Rain Man because Robert was by far the most knowledgeable person we got a quote from in regards to plants and their watering requirements, slopes and runoff problems, conservation, and the options for addressing these issues. His crew was very professional and didn't destroy even a single flower or plant in our yard. They dug trenches through the lawn in the front and back yards and installed sprinkler lines and heads, appropriately chosen to match watering requirements (slope vs no slope, etc). They properly adjusted each head to avoid overspray onto concrete sidewalks, driveway, etc. They installed a drip system throughout the rest of the yard that will keep vegetables, roses, plants, shrubs, and some trees happy without wasting water where there is just dirt. When the work was completed, Robert did a final walk through and addressed all questions and concerns while demonstrating that the system was working optimally.

It went really well. I was building a deck at the time and the company had to work around the deck plan. The deck contractor change his layout mid stream and Rain Man came back and made the necessary changes no questions asked. They also come and winterize the system every year.

Because he was in the neighborhood, he came right over when I called. He found the problem, had the replacement valve on hand, replaced it quickly. He did this work at the end of a long day and was cheerful and patient.
