The designs were creative and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about plants and we ended up hiring him again. We would highly recommend him.

Overall quite disappointing. Brian came highly recommended and I was excited to work with him. In the design phase Brian worked quickly and efficiently and had my backyard designed rapidly and plans drawn up cheaply. The scope of the project he designed is fairly large for a residential job about $130,000 in total cost for residential landscaping including extension of a driveway, drainage system, relocation of retaining wall, irrigation, and large new covered patio with fireplace built in grill, etc. From that point forward things unravelled. Brian offered to coordinate the project as a pseudo general contractor. He charged by the hour to obtain bids from contractors and then coordinate their work during the subsequent construction phases. Yet, almost immediately the work was fraught with delays and mishaps and poor coordination amongst the individual contractors. Work started April, 2010 and September 15, 2010 and is still not 100% complete). There is no point in going through each individual problem that occurred. But this issue was that Brian was not accountable for any of the problems that developed. When I confronted Brian about this he told me that it was my fault for not using a general contractor. So at this point I have wasted an entire summer. Brian never completed the planting plan telling me that we would figure that out in the fall when it is a better time to install plants. At this point I won't have him do that work. Hence I have a partially completed hardscape and no plants in the ground with the winter rains approaching ... all this despite the guidance of a highly recommende landscape architect. It is quite discouraging as I now find someone to help me design the planting scheme and install the plants before my backyard becomes a muddy mess and even bigger debacle ...

Excellent in his design work, client management skills, communication and follow up. Very attentive and lots of service after the sale. I can't comment on price because I have nothing to compare to. It's not often that someone can earn an A in my book. I will certainly recommend Brian to my friends and will hire him for any future architectural needs.
