Kelli and her team were very professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. The communication with the team, from day one, was what you expect from any top notch contractor. The crew that came out here did a superb job. They were respectful of our shrubs and the clean up was outstanding. And I am very picky. I would highly recommend Portland Roofing in a heart beat.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My experience start to finish has been horrendous with Portland Roofing. The bid they gave me was around 8k (including my detached garage). My house is 1000 square feet. They did state that it may go up based on replacing plywood. I know the roof is old, and I was expecting maybe another 3k or so. They came back with a change order of nearly $7,000 in additional costs (Excluding my garage, which was included in the original bid). The garage would have cost approx. another $1700. Needless to say, this was very upsetting, to have the bid nearly double. This was also quite confusing that the change order excluded my garage, only for them to try and tack on hidden costs at a later date. Kelli, the owner, stated that we can remove the garage (at no charge) so I agreed, saving myself approximately 4k total (for a single car detached garage). Kelli stated I must sign NOW or they’ll stop work. A rain storm was coming, they had my roof off, and I had no choice but to sign. The same day I signed the change order for the house I contacted several general contractors for a second opinion(s) on the high cost they were charging for venting that Portland roofing stated was needed. EVERY Contractor said that what they were installing is excessive as well as the charge is excessive. I requested (prior to any work being completed) that they not install any additional vents and to put back the 5 original as stated in the contract. Kelli refused. Additionally, I asked for measurements of the roof because it seemed like they order excessive amounts of plywood. Kelli refused. They over ordered plywood (which I was charged a restocking fee for). They installed 7 additional vents, 5 regular included in contract and (1 kitchen and 2 bath) in a 1 bath home, 12 vents total. Why does my 1 bath house need 2 bath vents? Kelli had no answers. During installation they ripped my fireplace flu THROUGH THE CEILING, disconnecting it from the fireplace. Kelli refused to pay for any damages, as she said she isn’t responsible, and then insisted I have her roofers come in and fix my fireplace??? I am lucky that the gas was not turned on as it could’ve been disastrous. So I had to pay out of pocket almost $600 for damages caused. Finally when they were completed, I received the bill during the holidays with 7 days to pay. When I reviewed the bill, it did not include ANY breakdown and referred to an ‘attachment’ that was not included (balance due $8,216.49). I asked for the attachment a few days later, and when I received it, they demanded next day payment. I let them know that I will be removing the damages for the fireplace as well as the venting that I requested not be installed. I mailed a check that day minus those fees ($6,838.99 total). Kelli then became very upset, sending my personal information to a random real estate agent (because she got my address confused with a different one that was pending sale) stating that she is putting a lien on my house because I don’t pay my bills and demanded that this realtor let everyone know that I owe her money. She kept quoting the contract repeatedly trying to cover herself that she isn’t responsible for the damage and I can’t decline the venting because of the signed change order. It clearly states in her contact that I can refuse what they recommend as well as they aren’t responsible for damages to sheet rock (nothing about fireplace damage). I pointed this out in the contract, she refused to listen. Kelli refused to take any responsibility, and just kept threatening me with a lien on my house as well as litigation. She sent me an updated bill now $8629.29 (including multiple cancellation fees, including the garage, even though she is the one that removed it from the change order). Fast forward a few weeks after she placed a lien on my house, and a new bill came $8948.92. For a total cost for a 1000 sq ft. home $13,308.92 (excluding fireplace repair) that I had to pay to get a lien removed on my house. I strongly encourage you to look up Kelli Sue Greenfield’s past prior to engaging in ANY business with this company. It tells a very clear story of how unethical she is. A great article was written from Oregonlive. She offered me a $1000 off the last bill if I’d agree to no CCB complaints, or writing any negative reviews and/or litigations. I paid the extra 1k, because she can’t continue to do business this way as she is so unethical. She is a bully that thinks she can do what she wants. She puts people in vulnerable positions only to take advantage. My guess why there are not more reviews like this is because people are scared of her threats of liens and probably agreed to a lesser amount to save money (and aren’t able to say anything negative as part of their agreement). Her behavior is SO atrocious, I had to alert consumers of this unethical woman. I hope this will save someone a lot of money and stress, I wish I would’ve known.

We highly recommend Portland Roofing Co, LLC. Everyone, at Portland Roofing Co, LLC, is polite, professional and incredibly efficient. Their price point was the best out of 4 bids we received. We were highly impressed with the high level of skills needed to tackle our very difficult roofing project. Our home is not your average house (approx. 9,500 square feet of roofing) Roofing our 108 year old school house (now our residence) was an amazing feat! The men tackled this project in no time. We were happy to provide as much support as possible to the crew (donuts and coffee every morning..it was the least we could do) to show our appreciation for their amazing work. We highly recommend Portland Roofing Company, LLC for all of your roofing needs. Call them today!

We scheduled at wrong time of the year. Weather delays hampered the installation date. When our time finally arrived, job was completed in three days. The crew worked well together. Were friendly and professional. Cleaned up after job was done. Price was right for us.

We just had our roof finished by Portland Roofing and we're very happy with the results. This was our first time working on a large project with a contractor, so keep in mind I don't have anything to compare it to. The pros: Everyone was very nice. For the most part, communication was prompt and frequent throughout. We're happy with how it looks (although this coming fall will really show if it passes muster.) I'll update if we find anything we're unhappy with with the actual product. It looks so good! And the team that came out to work was friendly. Everything was cleaned up well outside. The cons: The job was pushed back several times, then pushed forward, and then pushed back again. Again, this is our first time working with a contractor, so I'm not sure if this is par for the course. I imagine roofers fill the summer to the brim with jobs, and when one runs long it pushes back the whole schedule, but the frequency in delays lead me to believe perhaps the schedule could have been planned expecting some of that. But, given that, we still got our roof, so in the end it didn't matter much. The job also took longer than expected (ended up being five days rather than the original two), but to be fair part way through the job we opted to add plywood decking over the original ship lap decking, so that added to the time. However, there were just two guys working on it. I was expecting a team of five or six, which certainly would have made the job much faster on our small roof (900 square foot home). Overall, were quite happy with the final product. Our neighbor is a commercial roofer and told us he was keeping an eye on the work for us and gave it the thumbs up. I'd recommend them, and I'm an anal control freak, so I wouldn't be afraid to be critical if I wasn't happy :) I tried taking photos, but couldn't get a good one. Just imagine it looks like a nice roof, which it does.

Kelli showed up with her estimator one day after I called to request an estimate.  They helped me understand several issues which I would have overlooked.  The detailed estimate was provided quickly and stood out as much more professional than any of the other estimates I received.  Of the 8 companies I contacted, only 3 actually responded with estimates!
When I accepted the bid, the work was quickly scheduled.  PRC worked hard to find the right material for my roof.  There was good communication about delivery of materials and scheduling of work.
Three workers worked diligently and cleaned up the site each day.  They also coordinated with the satellite TV people well to minimize interruption of service.
The finished product exceeded my expectations.
I think the highlights of the project were the professionalism and communication of PRC.

It went fine. They are really nice people who knew what they were doing and very professional. I liked the fact that it was a woman and Hispanic man that ran the company.

There was some delay in getting started.  In part, because we didn't get pre-work done, and they had moved on in their schedule, so we had to wait for a new opening for them.  Once they started the work, it went well, except there was some delay for unexpected repair work that couldn't be detected before they had the old roof torn-off.  They were in nearly daily contact with us, and each change order in the contract was approved by us before they moved on.  We thought they did a good job, and some of our neighbors have reported that the job looks good.  If we don't have to call them back for repairs in the next 50 years, I would say the job was done superbly!

I was very happy with the end result. I was a bit nervous because the and quot;rainsand quot; were coming and the project kept getting delayed because of other projects taking longer than expected. As it turned out the day they started the tear off, the rain stopped and didn't start again until they were doing the final clean up. Because of the weather reports, the crew worked all the day light hours. The crew was very respectful and they were very careful with my landscaping. I would definately use Portland Roofing again.

I chose Portland roofing company because they were very affordable and after meeting with Kelli and Sanchez, I felt confident that Sanchez knew his trade. They were very thorough in explaining the necessary roofing work and showed me where the problem was.
Kelli called the day of and let me know her crew was having mechanical issues and would be late. They ended up being about 2 hours late but got to work immediately. It took them the better part of 6 hours to finish the repairs and cleaning. They did miss a section of roof off the back side above the kitchen nook that sits below the rest of the roof line. In retrospect I probably would not have my roof cleaned again unless it was a spray that killed all the moss.

"Thank you Member for your feedback. We offer our customers great pricing and quality jobs. Our crews are highly skilled and know their trade well, and if there are any time delays, we always try to make sure we call to let our customers know. At Portland Roofing Company, we pride ourselves on being professional, affordable, and reliable. That is the service you can expect should you select us. Their are many ways to do a roof cleaning, chemical treatments, pressure washing, and hand cleanings. Member had the option of chemical or hand cleaning from our company, and selected hand cleaning which didn't clean a little area on his roof that was discolored. We came back out to Member's home to do a free "call back" to look at the little spot and determined it was a roof stain, not moss. However, a chemical treatment option would have fixed that little stain. Member, feel free to give us a call and we can see about doing a chemical treatment just in that tough area if you want! Best Wishes :)"
