I went with Portland Painting for a pretty involved restoration and painting project on my 1910 home in NE Portland. Awesome group of people! Easy to work with start to finish! Alex is great on the account side! Lexi and team for the front office and Dann for the carpentry! Always thorough and effective at communication, planning and execution! I am very satisfied and will use Portland Painting again for other projects.

The quality of the work is excellent. They are wonderful at communicating clearly. They are professional and courteous. They work quickly but nothing is rushed. You can ask as many questions as you like and they are always accommodating and flexible. The three professionals who worked on the outside of my house -- Max, Ritchie, and Joel -- we're all very pleasant to work with: positive, courteous, kind, and funny. They made me feel very comfortable and confident. I could not recommend them more highly.

We were very pleased with the communication, professionalism and quality provided by Portland Painting and Restoration. Alex was extremely helpful and responsive during the planning stages. We couldn't be happier with our experience with PPR. The office staff was very up front with everything, they were excellent communicators, very professional and overall just a pleasure to work with. The staff that worked on our house from start to finish was also wonderful, trustworthy, and did an excellent job. We had a group of three men: Richie (the lead), Jason, and Jacob. They were always on time, always courteous, and did an excellent job. The house looks terrific. PP&R told us they could not warranty the paint job against bubbles because of the nature of our cedar siding, but when a few bubbles popped in on one board, they repaired it. They warned us that in two to three years, we would see more bubbles and to call them. I expect to pay for the bubble repair at that time, they were very up front about the problems with our house, but I also believe that the job they did was top notch, and I would definitely use them again. The price was reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done.

Ben came out and took measurements and had a contract and estimate for me in 2 days. As summer is a busy time for exterior painting the job was scheduled a few weeks in the future. This was no problem for me. I was not in a hurry. The crew showed up as scheduled to start pressure washing and prep work. They were there everyday until project was finished. Joel (lead person), along with Gabe and Luke couldn’t have been more accommodating and informative. The crew was meticulous with their work and clean up afterwards. I can say I was truly pleased with the job.

The initial contacts with the office were hit and miss after I sent in the deposit- long response times or no response until I followed up again. It made me a little nervous about the entire project. But, once the painters started they were great- on time, hard working, pleasant, responsive. They worked great with our neighbors and were very friendly. Carpenter who did repair work at start of project was great too. We are very pleased with the results- house looks great!

PP&R appreciate and recognize the value of historic homes in Portland and work hard to preserve them. They are very detail-oriented and do fantastic work. We hired them to repaint our 114-year old home and they did a marvelous job. We get compliments from friends and neighbors on the work. Cannot recommend them enough.

Crew did a great job sanding and stripping off old factory finish and then applying new oil stain and a clear poly top coat. Wood that had been bleached from years of sun exposure or discolored from rain was restored to like-new condition. They were tidy - cleaned up at the end of each day. Very personable, knowledgeable and professional, kept us updated and informed as the job progressed. PPR returns in the spring for an exterior house painting job, and based on the quality of the interior work, we're glad we chose them for both projects.

They did a fantastic job. They were prompt, efficient and they let me pick the brand and type of paint used. I did select a more expensive line and paid the extra but there was no pressure to use any particular brand and line. I highly recommend this company!!

Did a tremendous job and my compliments don't come easy. The work was done last year right around when the horrible snow and ice storms hit. Their crew came on days where ice and snow prevented most from going to work. Knowing a few days were lost due to weather, they worked that much hard to stay on track. They were very punctual, very clean, and the best quality of any painters I've ever used. Definitely highly recommend them and will use them for all my paint needs!

We had to fire our first painting and restoration company after they butchered our front porch and overcharged us for the painting prep. We had met with Ben in the early phase but we made the choice to hire the other company on price alone. After that debacle realized we should have hired PPR in the first place. When painting your house, the biggest investment you'll ever make, you do not want the cheapest! You want the best, and I'm so thrilled we hired PPR. I really adore the owner Ben, and enjoyed working with the talented carpenters he sent out to save our porch, along with the amazing painting crew, Wilfred and Alex. They are hard-working, friendly, communicative and professional. I also cannot say enough about the quality. Our 1898 Victorian looks brand-new.
