Very well. The only problem was that website was not entirely friendly with iOS. I found it a little confusing and difficult to use, but I figured it out and everything went well after wrestling with the website.

It was fantastic because they have wonderful information and buying advice on their website that is so useful which tells you to check it out before you even consider going through me so you don’t waste your time or money. You contact them through the website and he will contact who is selling the vehicle and make arrangements to go in and inspect it on site. He actually went to where the seller was working and looked at the car in the parking lot of their job. They gave us a 5-7 page report with pictures and stuff saying what was reliable about the vehicle and what wasn't, and what needed work and what didn't, and was it worth it to spend that kind of money.

.He answered my many questions. Pointed out many details and I liked the written report. He made recommendations for minor improvements. I liked having a choice of the depth of the inspection.

He does a thorough job and he did a pretty good report on what his findings were.

My wife and I were looking at 2 used cars in a dealership. We liked a black 2009 Smart car which was a special edition with extra features. We hired Josh at PDXInspections, and he came out to the dealership and thoroughly examined the car. I immediately learned there was a moisture problem in the cargo area which could be from an undetermined leak.
Josh spent over an hour examining every feature of the car, and quickly emailed me a detailed report. Because of the potential leak and Josh's overall assessment that the car had been driven pretty hard , I asked him if he could inspect the second car we were looking at, and he did for a discounted price of $80.
Josh was professional, thorough and an excellent communicator. His inspections led us to buy the second car. His detailed reports also were a key in negotiating a fair price. He was able to prove that the battery in the car had a bad cell, which resulted in the seller replacing the battery before purchase.
Josh spotted details on each car that I never would have noticed. His ability to come to the site of the car makes it easier for both the buyer and the seller. Josh even gave me information about my Prius (he owns one, too) that I didn't know.

I emailed him a list of my major concerns about the vehicle before the inspection. He drove to my home office in a car that is fully equiped for inspections. He took it for a test drive, then I watched while he went through a step by step inspection of the vehicle. The inspection included major components (engine, transmission, coolant system, etc.) but it also included more minor items that I didn't think would be included (do the seat belts work, does the rear defroster work, etc.) The inspection also addressed the specific issues that I was concerned about. Later that day I was emailed a complete report. This is a fine example of a business that provides a convenient and thorough service for its customers.

I live in Seattle. I found a Prius I was really interested in Portland in Craigslist. I called the Prius owners, made an appointment to look at the car in 3 days. After hanging up, I realized this car may be such a great deal that I had to act as fast as possible. So, I got on Angieslist and right away I found Josh. I found Josh to be immensely professional, punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. He knows his stuff. He also offers an easy to use online system for scheduling and making payment via credit card which I liked. That way you know all the info is at his disposal. With Josh scheduled, I then had the confidence to call the seller and say I could drive down next day rather than in three days. What happened the next day was a car buyers dream. I drive down, meet the owner and see the car, then Josh arrives on time and does the inspection and test drive, Josh gives me a verbal report on the car, I decide to buy it, owner and I go to his bank to complete the transaction. Done . All this as an out-of-town buyer. I recommend PDX Inspections to anyone looking at a car to buy in the Portland area. You'll be glad you hired him. The value is there in the punctual, knowledgeable service, the pdf report you receive afterwords and sometimes maybe he'll have tips on improving your car like he did for my Prius. I e-mailed Josh one night, and he replied withing 1/2 hour, twice! He met me at a used RV dealership and did a thorough, efficient inspection. We are delighted with the service, his positive attitude and his price.

Wonderfully, I first contacted him after finding his info online and asked if he was available and what times he could perform the inspection. To my surprise he was able to do the inspection without my being there and sent the info promptly to me via email. He also provided me with a verbal estimate for work to be needed if I wanted to improve the car. He also followed up with me via email asking me how the car was performing and how the experience was with his company. A true professional.

Josh called the seller to arrange an appointment, inspected the truck, and promptly emailed me a thorough report. He checked everything mechanical and cosmetic. He found that the passenger's power mirror was not adjustable, that one of the tires was mismatched, and that the brakes were due for service. His report was prepared in Adobe Acrobat format and could easily be read and understood. He even provided a free CarFax report. This guy is good.
