We very pleased with Oregon Trial Moving who we found via the POD company. It was great working with a local company. Their office staff was proactive with information and follow up on our loading date. The crew, Austin and Chris showed up on time, were very professional, had the tools and supplies they needed and to charge of organizing our furniture and boxes to maximize the POD space. They worked well as a team and had a great sense of humor, while doing heavy hard work. We look forward to having Oregon Trail Moving load our next POD next week. Absolutely fantastic in every way. Briefly. To do a move perhaps eight or nine things have to go right simultaneously, and I was on that track until my original movers had to cancel at the last minute due to an illness. Then Nick and Jennifer in the Oregon Trail office immediately came to my help, and immediately sent Sawyer and DeJion to do the move. I cannot say enough about the expertise and assistance of Sawyer and DeJion, but let me try by saying not only were they expert and experienced movers, but they also were totally understanding of the importance of clear communication, being gracious, and talking respectfully to persons at both the pick-up and delivery locations -- the move was completed perfectly in every way.

These movers are the best I have ever used, in many moves. They arrived early, got to work and treated my things with utmost care. I have moved many times and have lost many things in a move. Sawyer and Jeff got all of my things out of my old place and into my new, looking like they did before they were packed. 1st time ever! I highly recommend this company. We hired Oregon Trail Moving Services for a local move. We moved from our rental home to our newly purchased home. Our new home was about 1.5 blocks from our rental. Our move was scheduled for 10am. At 945am Alex and Larone showed up. They introduced themselves and provided a card that confirmed they worked for the company. We gave them a 3-4 minute house tour and explained the scope of the work and they got right to it. Alex and Larone were fantastic. It was very clear that they took their job seriously. They were conscientious about our belongings, the home we were leaving, and our new home. We would absolutely hire Oregon Trail Moving Services again based on our experience with Alex and Larone. They were courteous, polite, and efficient. We also found Oregon Trail Moving Services to be very reasonably priced and the office was very easy to work with.

This company specialized in helping "do it yourself" movers, unloading trailers, packing pods, etc. I needed a heavy TV set removed from a wall mount. Chris reduced their minimum service charge, showed up as promised, lifted the TV down and put it in my car. He was courteous and professional, and from this brief contact and unusual job, I believe Oregon Trail would do a great job with a bigger project. Their website has a lot of valuable information for someone who's handling their own move.

If you are looking for help moving, I think there are basically three options. 1) You can hire a professional moving company. There are lots of good ones, and because of Oregon State law, they are charge the same (very high) hourly fees. 2) You can hire day labor folks off of Craig's list. This is the most economical solution but you run risks since they may be slow, untrained and/or criminal. 3) Finally, you can hire a company like Oregon Trail Moving. If you are able to rent and drive the truck, they will provide well-trained, muscular people. You can do as much of the packing as you want, and then they will do whatever else you need including disassembling furniture, packing odds and ends, lifting large items, and unloading and reassembling everything on the other end. Their prices were both fair and transparent, and best of all their guys worked very hard and were friendly. We are very pleased.

I decided to use A2B because they deliver furniture for EWF Modern, where we bought our furniture. Joachim and Carlos are amazing. Joachim is a kind of genius of moving big heavy things and he is also the strongest man in town. He can figure out how to balance and turn the heaviest object so it can be moved safely. They showed up on time, worked steadily and fast. The truck they used was a bit small for all our things, so they had to make two trips. That was okay because we moved just a short distance. The only negative, and it's a very small one, is that our mattresses got a little smudged - we should have wrapped them. Everything else was wrapped by the crew before we left and it all arrived safely. We thought the price was very reasonable, especially for a good quality job. They were very respectful of us, and our possessions. I would definitely use these guys again!!

It went great -- they let me know ahead of time that they would be a little late. Then called when they were 15 minutes out. They worked efficiently at loading the kiln and its stand. They arrived at my house shortly after I did and had it unloaded and in my garage quite quickly. The guys were polite and efficient. and got the job done quickly so I only paid for a single hour. Most of the businesses I called wouldn't accept such a small job, and the ones that did bid on it were significantly more expensive.
I'm definitely happy with the job they did and will use them again next time I buy something I can't manage myself to get home.

This was a simple operation, but could be very difficult for someone who isn't prepared with proper safety equipment to minimize any injury in moving heavy items.
The response was very quick and I was entirely pleased with their work. I will hire them again should the need arise.
They arrived, 2 fellows assessing the move and then executing it perfectly, with no harm done to anything in the process. I was very happy and the whole process was under 1/2 hour or so.

We were extremely pleased with the help that Karry and Wakeem from A2B Moving gave us. Initially, they were able to give us advice on tagging the couch once purchased so that we wouldn't have to remain at Costco until they got there. Once we contacted them that the couch was ready, they very quickly picked it up and delivered it to our home. Were efficient in bringing in new and taking out old couch. Professional, polite, helpful and reasonably priced. Would definitely use again.

They were okay. They were not that careful with the things. They were strong guys and just move things. It would have been nicer if they have been careful with the stuff. There were scratches on some of my furniture.

The bid on the job was far more reasonable than the other 5 I called!
The sleep # bed was very heavy, but Karry used to deliver them for a living, so he knew exactly what he was doing!
He also was familiar with the storage unit I was renting and knew exactly where, and how he needed to travel from our Portland address to the Milwaukie address! (3701 SE International Way)
Karry and Joaquine were on time, very knowledgeable in explaining all of my questions, efficient, cordial and had the whole job done in less than an hour!
I will be contacting them first if I need their services again!

These 2 great guys (strong) came to my house, and did measurements to make sure everything would fit through doors, etc.
Then they just moved them for me, and placed them smoothly in the basement. I also had a heavy saw to be moved to the barn at the same time, so they did that too.
They were so careful of my doors and I notice things like that.
I paid them and they were on their way to another job.

The move went very well from start to finish.
I recieved this company's information from a reputable moving company that could not perform the move on the specific day that I needed. I called and spoke to Nick. He was very upbeat, offered the pricing up front and asked detailed questions about what we needed them to do. His questions helped clarify at the outset any issues that would have come up such as moving blankets, the need for a truck etc. I had rented two mobile storage lockers from PACKRATS that were delivered the day before. All that I needed Nick to do was put my stuff into them. He recommended he and his partner Karry could probably do it within 3-4 hours given the size of our house (2,800sqft) and amount of items I described. They were to show up at 9am and although they were 10 minutes late, he called me 30 minutes before to let me know of their projected time of arrival. Once they showed up, they asked to be walked around, took stock of the situation and then looked at their watches to start the clock. They moved everything very carefully and rather quickly. They communicated to me throughout the move about their needs for more padding or other help but really, they just downright worked and worked and worked. 3.5 hours later, they buttoned up the last locker and were done. We agreed on 55.00/hour for the two of them. Before I paid them, I asked if they were available to help me move our items out of the lockers at our new house in three weeks and after checking their schedules on their phones, we agreed in scope, date, time and price. I tipped them for their help and careful service and they left.
