Scheduling was slow, project took four and a half months when my neighbor just had their deck rebuilt by same firm which took four weeks. The work was good when they showed up. Manager/owner was trying to do more than one job with one crew. Didn't work so well. Price was good, finished product good. It took more than three months to get punch list item fixed.

I can't emphasize enough how thorough, professional and classy this business was to work with. He did the job three times for us in order to make it right. The first time, the stain wasn't compatible with our wood. The second time it rained unexpectedly. The third time was beautiful. Each time Dari very plainly stated that it needed to be redone and he did so. It was model for professionalism and really doing the job right. We're going to be using them for any of our deck and fencing needs going forward. You should too.

Dari was super responsive to my request for an estimate. Workers arrived on time and were thorough about cleaning up the area each day. I had some concerns about the final result -- a bit of sanding that was not quite to my preference and the stain was lighter than anticipated (not the fault of the workers but of the stain I selected) and Dari had a worker back out as soon as weather permitted to touch up the sanding concerns and add stain to the entire deck. I am very pleased now.

Job went well! They are very busy, took a couple months to get them out, but that is a testament to how sought after they are! Dari and T were punctual and worked very hard; very respectful young men. I have actually given their name and number to family members! Our deck looks great!

Made 17 year old deck look like new again.

Our deck was sorely in need of attention. A high-end contractor we talked to about replacing a fence that had fallen down recommended Dari for the deck refinishing job. This was in early 2016. We called and got a bid (only one) but it seemed a bit steep (not necessarily unreasonable, just money we didn't want to spend at the time) so we didn't ever get around to following through. Finally, this spring (a year later), I emailed Dari to see if the bid was still good. He said it was and to let him know if we wanted to schedule something. I failed to write back and was wondering why he hadn't gotten in touch once the rain stopped. When I realized it was my own oversight rather than his, I wrote back and he immediately replied and said, how about this week? Sure enough, a couple of days later he and his crew showed up and got to work. Dari knows his stuff and his crew worked hard and took care of our property. They ended up stripping, sanding and refinishing an ipe deck of about 8' x 10' and the stairs down to the yard, plus staining the fence that we had finally had rebuilt (our side and our neighbor's side). Communication was good, everything looks great, and we have greater peace of mind that our property is protected from the elements.

Dari and his crew were polite, professional, and went above and beyond everything that I asked them to do. They arrived on time and worked for three days completing the job in the hot sun. They moved plants, cleaned, power washed, reattached loose boards, stained both decks and railings, and then restained sections that absorbed more stain than others. They always did everything that I asked, even when I was a little picky about the uniformity of the stain. I'm very happy with the results. I wasn't sure if my old fence could be repaired or not. It was falling down on one side. Dari trimmed the arborvitaes that were pushing against it, reattached railings, and installed 7 metal braces in concrete against the posts. He saved me the cost of a new fence along that side!

I was in a rush to get the described work done as I will be putting my house up for sale soon and asked Dari Loud, the owner of NW Deck & Fence Restoration,  for expedited service. This was a real challenge given the work was started in March 2016 and it rained frequently. Dari and crew successfully pulled off getting all the work completed before April using any of the dry days that came up. At the beginning of the job, Dari patiently explains the scope of work and documents it all in his quotes. I particularly like that he will recommend the best option for the job, even if it isn't the most expensive. Given how large the job was I was very happy with his pricing; it is so labor intensive to prep the decks before staining them as we had multiple layers of stains of different types that had been applied over an 18 year period. Now my decks and stairs look brand new. I would heartily recommend NW Deck and Fence Restoration and Dari Loud for any project.
