Above and beyond excellent service at this local business, it is a gem!! I have been dealing with cars for years and most places do not really have customer service or even act like they care when you come in with a problem. This is not the case here you are treated with respect and kindness, and they go out of their way to get your car up and running again. Big shout out to Jessica, Eric and Jody for finding the best price, quickest service and big smiles upon delivery. Good old fashioned service like it used to be in the old days ! I also fill up at the station and the entire staff is wonderful, courteous and they even wash your windows in every kind of weather!

They truly were unbelievable! Extremely courteous, attentive, personable and fixed my problem on the spot! I was replacing the hood struts on my car but at least 1 of the bolts was completely stripped so I brought in my car thinking the bolt would need to be cut off. They checked it out immediately and were able to loosen it without cutting it off. They loosened three of the bolts for me but when I got home realized the fourth bolt was also impossible to take off so brought my car back again. I felt pretty embarrassed and told them I wanted to pay. I insisted on paying $20 but the manager would not accept payment. Incredible customer service and was impressed that they immediately took the time from their busy schedule to deal with my pathetic dinky problem. I will definitely think about them in the future for any automotive needs. Thanks again guys!

/brake disc replace was OK. Peddle was/is soft but I didn't want to go back even though it was close-by. He tried to up-sell me on what he said was leaking power steering hoses but refused to give me a quote. I telephoned again requesting a quote but no call back.
I went to a highly recommended Toyota repair show in the far SE. He checked it all out and gave it a clean bill although he recommended to change out the PS fluid which we did. Because of what I saw as an attempt to up sell I will not go back period.

"We are very sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our services. We attempted to speak with you in order to reach a resolution. Unfortunately, you were unwilling to discuss the matter with us. Our records for your visit on 6/24/14 show we serviced the front brakes as well as clean and adjust the rear brakes. Occasionally during the readjustment of the rear brakes, the actual feel of the brake peddle may change. If it still feels sub par to your expectations we will gladly recheck our work and make corrections if needed, free of charge. Your satisfaction with our services is extremely important to us. In regards to the up-sell, it is our practice to inform our customers of their vehicle's overall condition. According to our records the power steering gear (not to be confused with hoses) was leaking. I do hope that when the other repair facility took a look at it, they paid close attention to the Power Steering Gear as well as the hoses. We wouldn't want your power steering to fail and cause an accident. Your safety is always our priority. If the gear has not been addressed, we invite you back so that we may show you where the leaks are. If there is anything we can do to resolve this situation please contact us."

It cost me less than I was worried it was going to, so I can say their price was reasonable. They are open on Saturdays. They are really nice and easy to talk to. They remain in their time/schedule for an emergency fix.

They got us in right away. They provided us with a clear idea of things that need to be done. When we picked up the car they had found that some of the things they thought needed to be done were not needed once they got inside the engine. They fixed what needed doing and charged us much less than we were expecting.

All in all very satisfied with their service. Jessica who mans the front was very courteous, offered me a ride or come pick me up if I wondered to far from their garage. John Pritchard is an OUTSTANDING Service Man. ( Those words are all capitalized on purpose ) I went to Multnomah Automotive -- Chevron at Multnomah Blvd. and SW 45th in Portland on July 5th, 2013. I was relieved to discover that they were open. Jessica had assured me they could take care of the source of my unknown leaks. Imagine my delight when, by golly, John did fix my car in just over 1 hour. I am one DELIGHTED NEW CUSTOMER.

Excellent! They did a great job and accepted our Angie"s coupon as well. Their prices were better than other Angie's list providers in Portland, and they worked hard to earn our business. They even changed the fuse in our non-working radio for only the cost of the fuse. They display the Angie's honored customer award in their place of business showing that they welcome Angie's list customers.
Best of all, they didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need!!!

This was my 4th time to use Multnomah Automotive for my two 2004 cars that have high mileage. I was a little unsure the first time because they are attached to a gas station and I didn't know if they had enough experience outside of brakes and oil changes but they were close to home and we're willing to drive me and my child (with child seat) home. They were fast, friendly, communicative, and shopped around to find my part for less than original quote. And the most important thing of course is that the repairs were done right. I can't see taking my cars anywhere else now and am so happy I found a trustworthy, service-orientated service station.

John is always very conscientious about making sure he lets me know if he sees anything that needs attention. He also makes sure I know which items should be considered a priority. I've been coming to see John for over 5 years now and have never had a single complaint. As long as he's there, I'll keep going back.

We had the check engine light come on and were looking for someplace that would take a look. It was Saturday and most places were closed. We had never used Multnomah Automotive even though they are just down the street because I generally prefer to return to the dealer. However, I saw, on Angie's List, that they were open on Saturday. I called and was told that I could come in about 90 minutes later. They pulled a whole range of codes but believed that they were all associated with the oxygen sensor. By this time it was too late to get the part and complete the repair that day. We brought the car in on Tuesday (they are closed Sunday and Monday) morning and were able to leave it for the day. The work was done within the estimated amount and the care was ready at the end of the day. When I asked whether the $25 Angie's List coupon or the AAA discount would be a better deal, I was told that there was a 20% Angie's List promotion. This was news to me but I happily accepted the $77 discount. Since this took place only today, I cannot yet vouch for the quality of the work, but so far I am very impressed.
I expect that I will now use Multnomah Automotive instead of returning to the dealers!

As always, it went fine. I am really impressed with John, the head mechanic. Very nice, honest and knowledgeable -- I felt like I was in good hands. The staff upfront is friendly and helpful. Jessica was fantastic with keeping me up to date with the ordering and arrival of parts and made sure to get a hold of me as soon as the van was ready. The whole experience was great. It's nice to have such good services in my neighborhood -- it makes shopping locally a no-brainer.

My family was preparing for a trip to California and needed to have snow tires mounted for the trip over the pass. The technician provided a quote to do the work, amount of time to mount the tires and a time for the work which was convenient for me. They completed the work on time and the quote was very accurate. They also provided recommendations for additional service work needed to the vehicle.
