We called to have a sewer line from our kitchen sink cleared. They found out that we also needed a new septic lift pump.
They replaced the pump and then cleared the line from the sink using their snake several times before success.

A little pricey but responsive and professional. I will use them again because they make it easy and convenient to do business and because they do quality work.

The underneath portion of my house where the bathroom installation had been done collapsed. Come to find out upon further inspection, this plumbing company who did the original work had improperly installed the drain. It had been leaking for 2 years before completely giving way. I then hired a water damage company to dry under and inside the house. They arrived that day and made plans to come back the next day and remove the damage. I hired Mr Rooter to come and repair the plumbing properly. Mr Rooter, by the way, was a very reputable company that did excellent repair work. I then contacted Bath fitter to settle the damages since they had done the original installation and that's when I found out that they had subcontracted the plumbing work to MRP Services. I contacted MRP Services at least 6 times and NEVER got a return call. Finally after 3 weeks they called back they advised that they only had a 30 day warranty on work, didn't owe me anything and said they were not responsible. After hearing that I contacted the City Inspectors Office thinking that would help, but it didn't. I contacted the Construction and Contractors Board and that seemed to encourage Bathfitter to offer some financial resolution for the damages incurred. I paid an additional fee for the repair and fortunately, my home owners insurance covered the bulk of it but I was out the $500 deductible.. not to mention the unnecessary repair work caused by MRP Services. I strongly do not recommend them based on their disinterest in standing behind their shoddy work. I would like to be able to recover some of the additional expense incurred by this situation.

Fixed the immediate problem. I then decided to replaced the old toilet, and the plumber made two trips to the home improvement store to purchase the toilet and kit. Did not charge me for any extra time or travel as it was a hardware store problem.

MRP correctly diagnosed the recent install failure of a new sump pump due to the installer's failure to drill a 3/15" vent hole in the discharge pipe below the check valve and pit cover to help prevent an air lock. MRP installed a new pump and returned a month later to address a noise issue. They pulled the pump to find that the bottom of the pit had been damaged as well, and would not provide a flat surface for the pump to rest upon. I elected to use a 12" x 12" concrete square, rather than replace the pit (est. $2300 - $3600). I found that everyone within in the company provided knowledgeable, courteous and timely service. They were respectful of my time, my property and my budget.

Installation included diagnosis of previous pump installed by a local company, which failed to follow installation instructions: "Drill a 3/16" hole in discharge pipe below check valve and pit cover to help prevent air lock." This, in turn, caused my new Zoeller pump to burn up. MRP recommended a new pump, completed the install with vent hole and returned a month later to assess a noise issue. They pulled the pump and found the bottom of the pit had been damaged, as well, resulting in a concave surface, rather than flat, for the pump to rest on. I elected to level the pit bottom with a 12" x 12" concrete square, rather than replace the entire pit (est. cost: $2300 to $3600). I was thrilled with the professionalism, timely arrival and departure of the installer, as well as their consideration for my home and property. All parties that I spoke with from MRP appeared knowledgeable, explained in detail when asked, were courteous and respectful of my time.

Gary and his partner were friendly and no-nonsense. I didn't think it would take so long, but they did a good job, moved my washer and dryer out of the way to get to the space, and cleaned up after themselves and more.

They were one of very many plumbers I called at 4:00 pm on a Tuesday that actually answered their phone. They were the only company available or willing to come out that day since my basement was flooding! The total work took about 4 hours.

MRP's conduct was at best, unethical and at worst, fraudulent. They claimed that we needed to replace our entire sewer line, but when the 3 subsequent sewer companies I consulted reviewed the video, they all concluded that it was not necessary. Our sewer line did not contain any breaks or separations as they claimed. It was already the newer plastic piping that was less than 30 years old.

They didn't try to fix something that wasn't broken, or sell us anything like others have done in the past. They were even early when they arrived. They do good work for a reasonable price, and they gave us a senior discount.

I felt this company was superior in its response time -- it was the only one of five that was able to promptly make an appointment with me. While the plumbers seemed very professional, I don't think they recognized the extent of the problems, especially with the downstairs toilet, so I feel in some respect that the money spent there was wasted, as I ended up replacing that unit. Also I don't know what others charge, but I thought $229.00 for two hours work was a lot. Still I didn't check with what others charge, and that fee also included parts.

My experience with MRP was extremely frustrating! MRP was very deceitful in the way they conduct business. They tried to tell me that I needed a whole new line bored to the house when actually, it was just a joint that needed repairs. Their first estimate was $5500, then they were going to charge me $7600. Upon speaking to a supervisor, they gave me an option of just fixing the spot leak (that we had to find for them as they would not do a leak detection, they estimated $4600, When I called 2 other plumbers, they told me the first thing that should have been done was a leak detection to assess where the leak was to determine if a simple repair or full line was needed. Ends up the repair was a few feet from the meter and in no way did I need a whole new line! I told MRP they were deceitful, and I didn't want to work with them anymore due to deceit, they agreed, but refused to repair the one large, unnecessary hole in the concrete which I will have to pay out of my own pocket.

Plumber was on time, plumber was polite.. Although my problem was fixed, I was overall unhappy w/my service. I first called & gave an excellent description of my problem; plumber arrives in large truck; BUT for some reason doesn't have the necessary(which I would think would be obvious)"clog snake" tool, & has to call for backup. Also, his first idea to address the problem made no sense, especially since I pointed out that it wasn't necessary to move my water heater to fix the problem; & secondly, a bid of $650 just to do that seemed ridiculous. Thirty minutes later another guy comes w/the equipment. Together they find & fix my clogged drain. What I also found suspect was that after my job was completed, they remained here in their vehicles for another thirty minutes, which made me wonder if they were "riding the clock" on my job; waiting for the end of the day. I know plumbing is expensive, but I felt a little taken advantage of. Would be happier if they'd like to explain the

TREVOR WAS AWESOME, THE BEST PLUMBER I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. HE SHOWED UP PROMPTLY (SAME DAY, WITHIN AN HOUR OF OUR CALL), WAS FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS, WAS NICE TO MY DOG, KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO, SPENT THE MINIMAL AMOUNT OF TIME GETTING THE JOB DONE, AND DIPLOMATICALLY POINTED OUT AREAS THAT MIGHT NEED SERVICE IN THE FUTURE. THE PRICE CAME IN LESS THAN THE BID (WHICH WAS ALREADY QUITE REASONABLE). HE WAS HONEST AND HELPFUL. I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THESE GUYS AGAIN FOR MY BASEMENT REMODEL.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE. THEY ARRIVED AT OUR HOUSE WITHIN 60 MINUTES OF MY INITIAL PHONE CALL. THE DRAIN WAS CLEARED 20 MINUTES LATER. THEY CLEANED UP THE SINK AREA WELL AND WERE EXTREMELY PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN FOR FUTURE PLUMBING/DRAIN NEEDS.
