Everyone at modular paving systems provided great service. Good communication with installers. They answered all of my questions, were there when they said they would be and took care of all of the details.

Our experience with Modular Paving Systems was excellent from start to finish. We had been wanting to install a backyard patio for a few years and decided to move forward with the project after Greg from MPS came out to discuss the project with us. Greg was very responsive from my initial phone call and request for an estimate, through the final inspection. When Greg came out to do the estimate he spent as much time as we needed to discuss ideas and also provided valuable design input. He offered suggestions and really took the time to make sure we were getting the design and products we wanted.
The crew also did a great job. They were always prompt and started and finished the project on time. Kyle, the crew foreman was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions throughout the process. He took the time to explain the steps of the project and consulted with us on any questions he had on our design and pattern choices. I was very impressed by the crew's work ethic, skill and attention to detail. Given the quality and depth of the rock base and the quality of the paver installation, I predict we will enjoy this patio for years to come without any problems.
Overall Modular Paving Systems did a fantastic job on our patio. The finished product looks and performs excellent. Greg was always quick to answer my phone calls and took the time to answer all of my questions. He also returned at the end of the job to make sure we were satisfied with the final outcome. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering pavers. They were a very professional operation with personal attention from start to finish and we are really happy with our new patio.

Kyle (the foreman) and Dan did the whole job for us, from beginning to end. First, they removed huge chunks of concrete slab, which had been badly prepped and poured (it varied from 2and quot; to 10and quot; thick). They excavated A LOT of nasty clay (we have sticky gray clay in our area), brought in tons of rock, then filled/leveled/compacted thoroughly before laying the pavers. They were meticulous with every step, and worked hard every day. Kyle has the eye of a craftsman and made everything fit precisely. Unlike some crews that are polite and careful only on the first day, these guys were great to have around! They kept us informed about every step, answered our endless questions, arrived early/stayed late to get as much done as possible, left the area tidy each day, endured the bad weather, and calmly figured out the solution when they came across the unexpected. WHAT WE LEARNED: 1) I've done very small areas in pavers, but driveways really need to be done by paver experts with equipment and experience. Landscapers seldom should tackle larger paving jobs. 2) Watch out for companies that hire contractors/subcontractors to do the work. The pavers may look okay at first, but will not hold up, and beware of bogus guarantees. 3) Lay out your design with stakes and string before you get an estimate. It really helps you visualize what you want. 3) Most important, make sure they excavate soil to at least minimum guidelines, fill with compacted rock, and don't use too much sand. The pavers will start shifting with the expansion/contraction of the soil. 5) Do lots of research, then hire these guys to have it done right!

We had a large concrete patio that had multiple large cracks and a large portion of the patio was sinking and moving. Modular Paving Systems (MPS) was selected to replace the existing patio with pavers.
We had considered replacing the patio with stamped concrete but decided against it because of the need to maintain support of a large patio cover. MPS proposed paving over the existing concrete patio for a number of cost and design considerations. They also proposed a solution to resolve the drainage problem that was causing a large portion of the concrete patio to move.
Prior to making their bid they made several on-site visits to make sure they had solutions for all of the challenging technical parts of the job. Their communications with us were very collaborative. We felt like we understood the issues and the planned solutions.
They prepared the written design and statement of work that needed to be presented to our home owners association for architectural review. This was done prior to contract signing.
The project was approved by the HOA, the contract was signed, a 50% deposit was made and they started work on the agreed schedule date.
We were very impressed with the quality and completeness of the sales and design process and we were equally impressed with the project construction crew and their work. They are skilled workers with the right tools for the job. They were considerate of the neighborhood and neighbor's concerns. The cleanup after each work day was very good at the end of the work week it was excellent! We did not need to ask, they just do it.
During the construction phase we were impressed enough with the quality of their work that we added a change order to the project to re-do some work of a previous contractor and make the projects fit together better that the original plan.
Overall,
Modular Paving Systems is a class act from beginning to end. They have the experience, skills, tools and customer service ethic one would like to find in every contractor they hire. Based on our experience we would absolutely recommend them.

We could not be more pleased. Modular did a first-rate job from beginning to end. Kenna and Greg were great to work with. We knew pretty much what to expect with each phase of the project. Workmen were careful in working around existing plantings; they cleaned up the site fastidiously at the end of each day; they were always cordial.
